“Ariana was absolutely amazing with our pets! From the very beginning, she was kind, reliable, and genuinely cared about making sure they were happy and well taken care of. She kept us updated, gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, and treated our pets like they were her own. When we came home, everyone was happy, healthy, and relaxed, and the house was in great condition , which says everything about the love and attention they received. I would trust her with our pets again without a second thought and will absolutely be booking her in the future. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, communicative, and goes above and beyond, Ariana is the one. We couldn’t recommend her more highly. Thank you, Ariana, for taking such wonderful care of our furry family!”
“Katie was absolutely wonderful! She watched our dogs, Nico and Nora, while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She was always punctual, incredibly patient, kind, and genuinely loving with both of our dogs. She also made such a great impression during our meet-and-greet by being so sweet and patient with my little girl, which meant a lot to us. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dogs were in such caring hands while we were away. Katie is truly a wonderful person, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter!”

About: I started dog walking when I was 8 years old around my neighborhood. Since then I have had experience with training puppies, senior dog care, and even working with animals in a professional setting. I'm currently a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible to fit your needs. I love walks at any time of day or night! I have a fenced in back yard and a dog park that is just a walk down the street. I have two dogs to keep your fur baby occupied while staying with me.
“Gaby was amazing! She did EVERYTHING we asked and sent so many cute pictures of our little kitties! It made our day every time she did this and we're going to ask for HER SPECIFICALLY next time we need to go out of town. Thanks so much Gaby!”

“We used Taryn for a drop-in visit for a weekend trip; we have an older dog who doesn't like boarding at our vet. She is a little particular and Taryn was very patient with her and sent us photos. We will be using her for a longer vacation later this summer. Thanks for everything, Taryn!”

“Kayla was amazing and was able to do a last minute booking for us. Things come up and it’s so comforting to have someone flexible. The pups are so happy when she stops by. The perfect break in the day.”

“Allie was wonderful with my dogs and put me at ease. It is so hard to find a trustworthy and reliable human that you trust to take care of your beloved dogs. She was timely, sent pictures, and our golden girls really adored her! To top it off, she washed my dog's bowls after their lunch! That was so unexpected, but it was sweet surprise to come home to clean bowls. She definitely goes the extra mile. I would definitely use Allie again, ven for overnight pet sitting while we are out of town.”

“This was my first time using Rover or someone I didn’t know to take care of my cat. I was very nervous. Megan was excellent. She was available at very short notice & did a great job with a very fussy cat. I will definitely look to her again should I need someone to look after my girl. She even went through some extreme weather to make sure my pet was fed. She was dedicated.”

“Jenna was great! She took good care of our pups, dealt with an unruly, energetic 9 month old Lab mix along with our older Chihuahua mix, and the messes they made. Kept us informed and sent pictures at each visit.”
About: I worked full time for a shelter and loved working with every animal there. Meeting them at their level so that their needs were completely fulfilled was my passion. Whether they were high or low energy, dim or bright, friendly or not, I thrived on figuring out what would make the the most adoptable and what would make them most comfortable in the harsh shelter environment. It was a difficult and demanding job at times especially when I needed to provide first aid or medication/therapy for ailing animals but I always enjoyed coming home knowing I did something that meant something to those parent-less pets. I also had the lovely opportunity to work the social media for the shelter and take photos and videos of each animal to best display their personalities to the wider public who wouldn't normally see them otherwise. I currently work part time with very flexible hours so I am frequently available to provide service to both my own pets and others. I find it very fulfilling to be able to make time for my own furry friends! Working in a shelter environment I often met many animals at their lowest when they were beyond scared and upset. I got exposure to many dogs and cats that were horribly unadapted to life around people and had personalities on either end of the spectrum. I am more than comfortable with animals that are more aggressive in both appearance and personality and was frequently tasked with retrieving abandoned or lost animals using the company van.
About: For as long as I can remember I have taken care of, rescued, and cared for animals. Through out my life I have over all had 18 animals in my house hold (at one point in time 8 cats all under the same roof) and I have often helped taken care of animals of family and friends. I have checked in on dogs for noon outside time and potty breaks as well as stayed at a home for as long as a month to take care of a cat. I have experience with pets in all stages of life and in handling animals with different temperaments. I have also given animals medications (from diabetic shots to thyroid pills to special prescription food) and I am very active in taking care of them. Currently I have one dog and three cats that I share with my partner, all of whom I have taken care of from early on in their lives. I am currently in between jobs so most days and times I am available. I do share a car but we always work together to figure out who can use the car when. Just let me know what you need and when and I will work with you to figure out a schedule that works for both of us. I am very respectful of other's homes, making sure things are clean and nothing is messed up. Whether your fur baby tore up a rug or I accidentally broke something, there will be full transparency on what happened while you're away. I can send daily text check ins and don't mind being called daily to ensure everything is alright, your animals are family and I will treat them as such. Any house rules or animal schedules you have set I will abide by. I will give your animal full attention and do what I can to give them what they need.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ross. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
