“This was my first time using Rover or someone I didn’t know to take care of my cat. I was very nervous. Megan was excellent. She was available at very short notice & did a great job with a very fussy cat. I will definitely look to her again should I need someone to look after my girl. She even went through some extreme weather to make sure my pet was fed. She was dedicated.”

“Eli is a very warm and professional pet sitter. He handled our quirky, creaky senior with great care and gave our new spicy chi space and patience. I appreciated his thorough notes and will use him again!”
About: I have worked in a doggy daycare that required us to not only manage the dogs but also teach them how to properly socialize with other dogs! This sparked my love for dog training and once I got my dog Turtle my journey to becoming a dog trainer began! My mission is to help you and your dog’s life be more fulfilling together in any way I can. Whether that be teaching you guys how to communicate better, being there while you’re working to support them, or taking them out on adventures I will do my best to make it worthwhile! I can’t wait to meet you but specifically your pup! 🙏🐶❤️ I work two part-time jobs with one of them being a dog trainer. This means plenty of time and skills that I can use to not only be there for your dog but also help them learn! When it comes to your pets care you tell me what is best. You know your dog better than I ever will, which means you know their discomforts. My job is to care for them to the best of my ability and I fully intend to do so by avoiding any extra stress!

“Allie was wonderful with my dogs and put me at ease. It is so hard to find a trustworthy and reliable human that you trust to take care of your beloved dogs. She was timely, sent pictures, and our golden girls really adored her! To top it off, she washed my dog's bowls after their lunch! That was so unexpected, but it was sweet surprise to come home to clean bowls. She definitely goes the extra mile. I would definitely use Allie again, ven for overnight pet sitting while we are out of town.”

“She did a great job with my fur babies! I also noticed when I got back from my trip that she swept up the litter, because I know they really kick it around the house. Very communicative & sent pics of them daily.”

“Alexis did a wonderful job communicating throughout the day. I loved receiving updates and pictures at every visit. Knowing Bruce was in such good hands made being away so much less stressful.”

“Samantha was the greatest. She gave my cat space while also making sure that she can leave her sent with him. She gave great ideas to help me because this is my first time having a cat sitter. She is so receptive and she gives great advice. She connected with my cat wonderfully, and I truly appreciate what she had done with feeding him and connecting with him. I will use her again. She is definitely my go to and I would highly recommend her.”

About: Hello! My services offer walks and drop in visits. I’ve absolutely adored animals since I was little and have grown up with cats and dogs. I’ve been taking care of my own pets as well as strays and fosters for years. My work experience includes managing kennels at a vet, watching large groups of dogs at Beach for Dogs, and I was a bather at Petsmart. When your pet is in my care I can promise you they will be safe, happy and comfortable as can be every time. I’ll love them like my own! I am self-employed. I am able to work my Rover appointments into my schedule without any issues or potential of inconveniencing my clients in any way. I have a calm and nurturing energy when dealing with dogs to make them comfortable. It’s important to give them the opportunity to get their energy out so you can come home to a tired, relaxed dog!

About: I am currently an owner of an Alaskan Malamute. My dog gets along and does well around other people's pets. I have grown up with dogs ever since I was a child and I have taught them how to do respond to commands and do tricks such as sit, shake paw, roll over, and even crawling. I have taken care of Huskies, a Pug, a Chihuahua and currently own an Alaskan Malamute. I enjoy taking dogs out on walks to parks and trails or just around the neighborhood with my husband and son. I stick to their feeding schedule and pets can sleep wherever they feel comfortable here.
“Daryl has been an amazing daily dog sitter for our pup during the week! Our 6 month old puppy is a handful at times and full of energy and Daryl handled him wonderfully. She did exactly what we asked and sent lots of updates throughout her visits. It was such a good feeling to come home to a happy pup at the end of the day. I would highly recommend her to care for your fur babies .”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
