“This was the first time using Kristi for boarding my dog. She took me on a tour of the kennel and explained her services before I left my dog. She sent updates during my week of boarding. I would not hesitate to leave my dog with her in the future.”

“Another wonderful stay with Daisy. The girls were happy and I didn’t worry a bit being away from them. Daisy sent me pictures and videos. They will go again when vacation time comes around.”

“Ashlyn was very attentive to my dog and very accommodating. My puppy felt comfortable with her. She has a fenced doggy park in her complex so it’s very safe. She updated me and was quickly responsive. I would definitely use her services again. My puppy is high energy and by the time I picked her up she was happy to see me and went straight to bed. I recommend Ashlyn since she’s on top of what your dog needs. Especially love and care.”

“Hillary made our first experience with Rover great! Our dog Georgie was apart of our wedding ceremony and needed him to go somewhere during the reception. Hillary was more than happy to pick him up from our venue and take him back to her home for the evening! She took him on a trail walk and sent pictures throughout the night. It made our wedding day even better knowing he was in great hands with her and her family!”

“I highly recommend Jessica! It was obvious she is a ‘dog whisperer’, gentle soul, who will make your dog feel like they are at home! She sent daily photos, videos, updates, gave my dog her monthly & quarterly medication, provided her a comfy crate to sleep in, and a kiddy pool filled with strawberries! And there’s 3 dog friends to bond with! My fur baby had a loving spa experience! Book with Jessica!”

“Harley had a great time and will definitely be coming back to see Claudia! First time using Rover to board my own dog, and I felt at ease the whole trip. I received lots of pictures. She took Harley on a walk and I got videos of her running around the yard having a blast. She even sent Harley home with a goodie bag! Highly recommend!”

“Kyle did a great job taking care of Ollie! He was very accommodating with my last-minute request, communicated well, and was genuinely nice and welcoming. When I picked Ollie up, he was very excited and happy, with no signs of stress at all. I really appreciated how well Kyle and Hannah took care of him. We’ll definitely book again. Thank you both, and see y’all next time!”

“Karen was EXACTLY what we needed as nervous first time Rover users! Our girl is anxious and doesn't often spend time around other dogs. Karen worked on this with her and gave her just the right amount of attention and support. We loved all of the pictures we got while we were away and we can't wait to give Roxie another opportunity to hang out with her new friends (especially Kevin)!”

About: We have a 9 year old mixed breed and a 4 year old mixed breed. I have cared for many family members' and friends' animals. Skilled in training, grooming, and loving all breeds and sizes of dog! I am able to work from home during the day. My schedule is very flexible, and I am open to all schedules at this time. We own our home with a partially fenced yard and a dog line. My husband is also a dog-lover, and we are both very active with animals. Our dogs are very friendly with others, and they love to play and cuddle with friends.
“Kristen did an excellent job, and I highly recommend her. I was a little hesitant at first because of the pricing, but once I realized what was included, it made complete sense. Her setup is on a large piece of land that has clearly been customized specifically for pets. There are multiple fenced-in areas where dogs can safely run freely, and it gave me a lot of peace knowing my dog had space, structure, and proper care. Her communication could not have been better. Every time I texted her, she responded within minutes and fully addressed whatever concern I had. I also noticed a real difference in my dog after coming home. Before the stay, my dog would just come up to me and act excited when she needed to go outside. Now she actually cries to be let out, which is much easier to understand. She also seems to pull a lot less when I take her outside, so it honestly feels like some obedience training happened during the stay too. The kennel is climate controlled, the property is very well set up, and Kristen clearly cares about the dogs she watches. She even gave my dog special treats like pup cups with peanut butter and whipped cream. I was honestly worried my dog might not want to come home. If you want to leave your dog somewhere and not have to worry the whole time, this is the place.”

“Mikayla was very good about keeping in touch and sending video and picture updates of my baby! She created a welcoming environment during drop off and made me feel super comfortable leaving my dog with her. Would 100% book again :)”

“Nate and Whitney were one of the greatest first experiences to have using the rover app they took such good care of us and constantly gave us updates as to anything that was going on. They will definitely be my first choice the next time I use the service 10 out of 10.”

“My wife and I looked very hard to find a good dog sitter for our son Charlie. We had found Michelle on Rover and decided to check it out. She did awesome with Charlie and will definitely be using her again! I recommend her to anyone needing daycare for their dogs or overnight care. Thanks Michelle!”

About: I have a flexible schedule making me able to offer these services. Please don't hesitate to reach out if my schedule on here doesn't have your time needed as my schedule changes constantly so does my availability. I currently drive to let my parents dog out twice a week for a walk, play etc. I have two cats at home that I love dearly. I tend to put them in the back of the house if I am watching a dog. Love animals and hate to see them locked up and bored all day while their owners are at work. Here to enhance their quality of life! I'm work part time so I'm pretty flexible, willing to work together to figure out the best schedule for everyone involved. Looking forward meeting your fur babies! Depending on the service it differs. My pets at home are two cats so I make sure they have fresh food and water in the mornings and the evenings, make sure to play with them and keep their litter box/areas clean. I would do more with dogs since they are a little more high maintenance. My boyfriend has a dog that comes over and plays in our big back yard. Lots of care and attention will be given to your pet!
“Gracie was fantastic. She provided timely updates, pictures, and seemed to treat my two dogs as though they were her own. She was extremely attentive to my senior dog - can’t thank her enough for the extra care that she provided to him. 🙏🏻”

“Somayeh took great care of my dog while I was out of town. She sent me photos and was very sweet. She also took my pup to the dog park and cleaned her up afterwards. I could tell my dog really loved being around her. I would highly recommend her for your dog-sitting needs!”

About: I have had pets, mainly dogs, my entire life and I have a true love for animals. I have been pet sitting for friends and family for over 6 years. I have recently joined the Rover community and I am excited for this new experience! I do work a part-time job so my availability often differs by the day but I still have plenty of time for pet care! The earlier I am requested and care is planned out, the better I will be able to adjust my schedule to your needs! I have plenty of experience caring for pets, majority dogs, in their own home and my goal is always to make them feel comfortable in their space! My availability for caring for pets in my home is more limited but I do have a fenced yard and two dogs(one small and one medium) that are both friendly with other dogs and able to be crated if necessary!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Rosewood home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Rosewood.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Rosewood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
