About: We’ve been house sitting and dog walking for 3 years, and in that time we’ve cared for a wide variety of pets with different personalities and needs. We have looked after five pets at once—three dogs and two cats—for over a week, including a rescue dog who was still learning basic training. Pet care fits naturally into our routines because we both work remotely, which means we can be home throughout the day and can give pets consistent attention. Whether we are hosting or visiting, we’re able to check in often, keep up with feeding and playtime, and make sure pets never feel alone for long. Since our schedules are flexible, we also have plenty of time for dog walking at any time of day—morning, afternoon, or evening. Our routines allow us to be fully present, reliable, and attentive to whatever your pet needs. When caring for pets in my client’s home, we always follow their routine as closely as possible. We stick to the pet’s usual feeding schedule, keep their space clean, refresh water often, and make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and comfort. We are careful with doors, gates, and safety instructions, and always leave the home exactly how we found it. When walking dogs, we’ll use the leash and equipment the owner prefers, pay close attention to their behavior, and make sure they get a safe, enjoyable walk at their pace.
