About: Hey I’m Scout! I’m the Dog Person version of a Horse Girl, and I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old. I have never been without a dog since then, having as few as 2 and as many as 6 dogs living with me at a time (along with 1 very dog-friendly cat.) I've worked at doggy daycares and have a unique ability to connect with a wide variety of dogs and am comfortable with all sizes. One of my dogs for many years was a 135 pound English Mastiff! My oldest dog recently turned 15, so I have experience with senior care, such as helping those with limited mobility or giving oral, eye, or ear medicines. My youngest dog just turned 2 and recently earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen title on his way towards becoming a therapy team with me. Our goal is to read books with kids! I am a self-employed illustrator whose job mostly involves - you guessed it - drawing dogs. My silly job allows me to work from home and have a very flexible schedule that can fit in with your needs. Typically I find myself working to the wee hours, and I like using my daylight time to do other things like play with dogs, walk dogs, talk about dogs, talk TO dogs... that sort of thing. I hope that you and your pup join me in my Rover adventures! I'm a self-employed night owl with ADHD. During the day I would love to play with your dog! I get most of my own work done at night, and my schedule is very flexible, with a preference for mid-morning, afternoon, and evening canine activities, making me the perfect fit for your pup's afternoon activities. Maybe you just need someone to run over and give your pup their post-breakfast and pre-second breakfast treat. I can do that! Forgot to throw the ball one last time before you headed out the door? I'll be over in a flash to play fetch with your pal. Need someone to take your pup for a walk or give them dinner because you got stuck in traffic on 24? I'm your person! (Also I'm sorry. 24 is the woooorst.) I'm excited to hang out with your dog whether you need a stand-in companion for a couple hours or a couple days! I provide care and enrichment in your home and take your care instructions and routine to heart. Please let me know if there are dogs, people, cats, or other things outside your home that may be difficult or triggering for your pup to encounter on a walk. Let me know your training practices, command words, and hand signals so we can understand each other quickly and fit reinforcing behaviors into our play times! I currently do not offer care in my own home because of my senior dog and his limited mobility. But I would love to spend time with your dog in your home and neighborhood!

About: I have cared for pets since I was a teenager. I love animals and love creating safe spaces for them to thrive. I have experience walking dogs of all types and have pet sat as well. I love to play with dogs and will make sure they get all the exercise they need so they are able to settle when back at home. I’m also available for pet sitting if you go out of town. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate last minute bookings. I know how much you love your pet and I will take care of them as if they were my own. I have my own business so I’m able to set my schedule. I’m have a lot of flexibility to meet any needs last minute. I have some availability each day and most weekends. I have a one bedroom apartment, but my buildings has a dog park out back. I have one cat so your pet would have to be okay with cats.

About: I love dogs and the outdoors! Depending on your dog's level of activity we can go to the park, run through the woods, or just cuddle on the couch. I'm open for house sitting, walks, extended stays at my place, or daily check-ins. My backyard is large and fenced in so your pup will be safe and secure. I'm a full-time pet caregiver with two roommates who work from home, so your pet will always have someone to hang out with! I also drive a mini-van with plenty of room to let your dog ride comfortably. I've had dogs all my life and had experience as a pet sitter since I was a teenager. I've seen all kinds of puppy personalities and I love them all. Can't wait to meet yours! My days start and end with the pets. I walk dogs around East Nashville in addition to caring for the ones I board, so I’m usually walking dogs from 10am - 2pm. If the dogs I’m boarding require multiple walks then I’ll walk them in the evenings or at the owner’s requested time. I have a fenced in yard where I take the dogs out to go to the bathroom, and I never leave the dogs outside unattended.

I’ve had dogs of my own since I was 10, and I was a pre-veterinary medicine major in college (I only didn’t go to vet school because I do music). My education gives me a lot of helpful knowledge to be able to take the best care of your fur babies! I also have help with mine whenever I am booked to help someone else, so everyone gets full attention. I will gladly follow any and all rules and special requests you have for your babies! About: I am willing to go the extra mile to ensure your dog gets the attention and care they need. This includes extended stays, irregular schedules, and difficult dogs. I think every dog deserves it's day, and with my single-household care your dog family will be in the right hands. I am currently establishing a more regular clientele in addition to Rover clients, and as of now is my sole focus between at-home visits/walks and boarding. My home is small enough to manage 1-2 dogs at any given time, and locked to a single client at a time, so possible conflicts with other dogs is at a minimum. My outdoors features a great neighborhood to walk in and ample space in the backyard for leashed outings.

About: I’ve taken care of my own pets since I was kid, rescued multiple cats, and have lots of experience working with both playful and shy animals. In my current position I mostly work nights as a bartender, and have availability during the day throughout the week as well as the weekend I have a fenced in yard, two loving cats, and plenty of energy to keep your pets busy and entertained. I currently cat and dog sit regularly for friends.

About: Dog walking: I look at this as your dog’s opportunity to not only go potty, but to take in the outside world. The smells, the sights, the sounds. I lead them but it’s important to be aware of their mood and interests. Maybe a little exploring. Maybe linger a bit on that flower. Perhaps a bit of investigating. But, I’m mindful also that they can get fixated, and I work to help them to not get too absorbed in one thing. Some dogs are not as adventurous, and being outside can trigger anxiety. For those dogs, I do my best to comfort them and assure them they are safe while I’m around. Check-in/Play: It’s important to me that your pets are comforted and energized. We can’t always be around our pets when we want and when they need. I love being able to step in to provide that little extra love and attention when life constrains your time. Your pet will get the attention and love from me that they get from you when you can’t be there. We’ll play, get them fed, and generally checked on to set your mind and heart at ease. House sitting: Your pets and house are my priority. Their routine is my routine, and I will treat your house better than my own. Different pets require different routines and care, and it’s my job to keep consistency for them as well as provide them with the emotional connection and comfort they require. Dogs in particular are social animals, and I believe bonding with them helps them relax and feel safe. I tend to fall in love with the dogs I look after, and they tend to fall in love with me, because my focus isn’t what they can do for me, but rather what I can do for them. I currently work from home, so I am able to watch over your dog throughout the day and provide them with the attention and care they need. Every dog is different, so I adjust based on their personality and needs. My first priority is helping your dog feel safe and comfortable with me. Earning their trust makes it easier for them to settle in while you're away and helps keep their routine intact. I aim to provide more than just care—I want your dog to feel seen, secure, and genuinely cared for.

I truly think of pets of family and I promise to treat your baby like my own. I am comfortable with administering meds and light grooming. I’m currently working from home part time so my daily schedule is actually pretty flexible. I am available in the afternoons, evenings and even overnight. I have a pet safe home and apartment complex. We have plenty of grass and space for your baby to safely roam. Plus I am walking distance from a neighborhood park with plenty of space.
