“Annette is a treasure. Her experience and love for dogs made the day visit for our 2 mini poodles a success. She kept us updated, she followed all instructions and provided numerous pictures and updates. Her after visit report was detailed and quite useful. We would recommend her highly!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Anita as our dog sitter! She accepted our request on very short notice and responded quickly, which was such a relief. Her home was spotless and welcoming, with a small fenced backyard that was perfect for quick breaks. She took our two pups on a walk, gave them snacks, and sent us tons of adorable photo updates. The dogs came home happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. Anita is a truly lovely person—our dogs absolutely adored her, and so did we. We only wish she lived in our city so we could have such a wonderful “dog auntie” nearby all the time!”

“Elizabeth is so great! She took such great care of my sweet pup. She met me at my car for drop off, making it super easy. She kept me informed all day with pictures and updates!”

“Kayla has been wonderful! She is great at communicating and most importantly she gives our doggy a safe and fun place to hangout when we need to be away for an extended time. Bonus: all the cute photos she sends of our dog!”

“Christine was great! Super kind and communicative. Her updates were super helpful and it seems like Bitty had a great time! I would feel very comfortable having Bitty visit again.”

“Ashley is absolutely amazing! We love taking our pup for doggie day care or longer stays. We love that she communicates with us throughout the day. Our girl has so much fun playing with the other pups. She comes home exhausted at the end of the day. We are very grateful to have found Ashley.”

“Linda is the best, I trust her completely and she sends tons of adorable pictures throughout the day. Her dog Ziggy is a sweet boy even when Ollie acts a bit obnoxious. Ollie loves being there, it’s very calm and homey, and he is in heaven exploring her huge back yard and visiting the goats. She is very caring, loving and responsible - she loves animals and is serious about taking the very best care of them!”

“What a great experience! Esther was super friendly and very responsive, though the real star of the show was Cashew. Winter came back sleepy and satisfied, no doubt from a long day of fun and play.”

About: As a loving dog mom who works from home, I would love to open my home to others who need assistance. Our house has a large open shared yard with plenty of space to explore. I have two little dogs and would love to help you socialize your own little dogs. For overnight visits, I have crates available if they are crate trained or a cuddle spot next to me if that works better. My house is very dog friendly and they are welcome to snuggle up on the couch or watch the birds from the balcony. I am comfortable providing medicine or special care if that is something that is needed. Let's work together. My partner and I both work from home and alternate pet tasks, so there is always a human available. We'd love to open our home to other pups for days or nights as needed. We have a large open unfenced green space available, with two sweet socialized pups of our own to provide interaction whether that be playing or just snuggling. Our Harley is blind, so we have good experience with a dog needing a little extra support.

“DJeane was a great host to our 5 month old puppy. She accommodated us in a short notice with an initial meet and greet session to show us around her place and introduced her dogs. DJean patiently and gently helped our pup to settle in after we drop her off. Our pup had a good time and was very tired after a long play. Thanks DJean!”

“We cannot possibly say enough good things about Katharine! She took care of Izzy like one of her own and went out of her way to make her feel safe and comfortable. She also went out of her way to make sure that we also felt safe and comfortable, letting us come a day ahead for a pre-visit, and sending us several photos and updates during Izzy's stay. Izzy had a big smile when we picked her up. We highly recommend Katharine if you're looking for a quality, above and beyond sitter for your furry family member.”

About: I've had experience taking care of both dogs and cats. My friends and family have often trusted me with taking care of their pets, which included feeding and walking them. With my former dog, I did basic training in commands (i.e. sit, stay, come) and know how to be firm when necessary. As a recent cat owner, I've learned the reins on taking care of a cat and how to live with one as well. Currently I'm freelancing, so I'm pretty flexible on availability with enough notice! Walking and playing with your pets is a fun activity I'm always down for. I can take care of cats and small dogs within my living space. I do not have a fenced backyard for dogs, however I am able to provide frequent walks and play time when needed due to my freelance schedule. I also have separate rooms if needed to cool off for stimulated pets.

“Pleased to leave our Havapoo stay with Melodie. Coco was well taken care of and a happy and tired pup when she came home. Pictures throughout the day kept us abreast of the fun and really appreciated.”

About: I've had a cat most of my life. I've had the most enjoyment from pets when I am caring, playing, walking and cuddling with them. I'm willing to adjust my pet rates and house sitting rates. Im organized and like to keep routines. Such as walks at 7 am and hourly thereafter. Feeding twice a day and treats for obeying commands. I routinely feed and water them twice a day. Take them for walks, exercise, play games and cuddle with them. Grooming ( brushing fur and teeth, clean ears) sometimes wet cloth bathing and Medications as needed. Also I do have experience in wound care as needed.

“Katie has been amazing with my mini Bernedoodle Josie. My pup can have a little separation anxiety but didn’t seem to have it with Katie. Josie was more and more excited to get to Katie’s everyday. I felt so secure leaving my favorite little friend with her. I had no worries at all. Katie is totally flexible and communicative! Josie and I will be a regular for sure!”

“Karen and Mark are absolutely wonderful! My dog loves going to their house while I work long hours in the office. It's so great to have a local pet sitter giving my dog personalized care instead of the traditional doggie daycare options. ”

“While staying in Port Ludlow, we left our pup Lucy with Lauren for an afternoon while we played golf nearby. Her communication in making arrangements was great, and Lucy had a great stay. Thanks!”

About: I'm super attentive and believe dogs have a language of their own. They can communicate with their behavior and emotional undertones. In a way I feel I understand that well. Not so different than children in their needs of love attention and affection. We have a small pug who is exceedingly friendly and welcoming to other dogs, like a little best friend and playmate. My kids are usually in school during the day. When I get the chance I love to take them to the dog parks or fields to run and play. Exercise is as important as good food and a warm cozy bed. I am also an herbalist and acupuncturist so I am very empathetic and in touch with nature. I have a basic understanding of medical needs in people and can apply that a bit towards animals when needing to identify if there is ever a problem and how severe it is. I currently work part-time. I have dad's house in Poulsbo that I drop them at while I am at work if they like to be with someone all day. He works from home. We do Zoom meetings to show the homes and environment for care. I have a large backyard and I often let them play inside and outside at their leisure with the door open while I garden. I have a fenced in yard and crate if needed. I prefer that they have their own bed for scent purposes so that they smell home. I prefer you bring your own food as each dog has a favorite, important that they want to eat while you're away. Any special instructions are best to pack so that I can refer to them such as how many gummies to give for Pain. We love our animals and I love to spoil them for you!

Chelsea L.Star Sitter
“Chelsea is calm, understanding, and doesn't leave things unfinished. They were the sole caretaker of their puppy from elementary school to high school and now they act as the sole caretaker to their adorable cat. They are great about maintenance and safety (they always make sure to remind me when things might cause problems for pets) and are timely about health check-ups. They are far more responsible than most people our age and I see nothing to criticize about them from a pet caretaker perspective. They truly understand that pets are living beings that need care and attention.”
