I have done multiple overnight stays for family friends, neighbors, colleagues, etc. I also am a regular with drop by visits and even taking dogs out for a walk while their owners are at work. I love to take dogs for long walks or even on runs if they have the energy! If some dogs need longer walks (1+ hours), I will be happy to take them longer. Pet care fits into my routine as an important part of my daily life. I work from home and am committed to providing the best possible care for the pets I take care of. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. The house yard is dog friendly- very large and fully fenced. My home is equally dog friendly- relaxed with plenty of room to get comfortable. I have a work from home situation, so your furry friend/family member will get plenty of love and good attention. I (and my family) are very animal - and people- focused. I choose to care for your pets in their space, which I finds allows for them to be more comfortable with a strange person. I am more than happy to take them on outings, such as to the beach or a forest trail, but only after we (you, your pet, and I) establish trust! My goal is to not disturb your pet’s schedule, so we will often stick to their typical routines unless otherwise requested!

“Margaret is extremely conscientious and dedicated. She did say thorough call to understand my dog's behaviors and needs. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”
About: I have been dog walking for friends and families for about 10 years now with a variety of dogs! Usually, our dog tends to lose a little weight when being boarded but I’m happy to report that it looks like Artie was able to maintain his appetite under Elizabeth’s care.
