I graduated from the University of Denver and have spent 2+ months in the last year staying overnight to care for clients’ pets and homes. Both of my family’s pets have been medium sized dogs, but I have done some dog sitting for both larger and smaller breeds. These span from Shih Tzu to Pitbulls to full sized Poodles. I typically walk 1.5-3 miles, so hopefully your pup will be tired out I make sure when I come in that there is enough water and/or food in the bowl, then promptly take them outside. My current dog, MoMo is sweet as pie, but quite lonely, and wants a few new companions. I live in Shoreline, and access two different dog parks for exercise and social activity. I drive a new pick-up truck so your dog will ride in comfort. I have both Venmo and PayPal, to make payments electronic and easy for everyone. I also have a fully fenced yard, if you and your dog are searching for warm, comfortable overnight accommodations. Please reply and we’ll discuss arrangements, rates, and build a system of comfort and exercise for your dog. I am trying to retire, which for me, involves lots of time with dogs. So I am readily available to care for your pets in a daily, weekly, or whatever basis works with your schedule. My dog, and so yours as well, will be well attended to. I don’t allow dogs on the furniture, and I prefer to not use cages, but am happy to if your dog is used to or prefers that type of structure to be comfy. I have plenty of dog beds for comfort, I use all naturally made and healthy dog treats. I have a fully fenced yard which is occasionally visited by brave squirrels, so activity and amusement is plentiful. There are a number of toys, ropes, balls, bones and other chew toys for those dogs who simply need some time to chew and think about life in general. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone who is patient, attentive, communicative, and respectful of your pet’s individual routine. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and will keep you updated with photos and messages during every visit. I’m currently available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and cat care in Shoreline and nearby communities. I’d love to meet you and your pet! I work full time from home and create my own schedule so I will have plenty of time to chill with your pets! I am flexible with weekends and weekdays. I provide a calm, structured, and supervised environment. I work from home, so pets are never left unattended for long. I have one puppy in training and two low-key cats who mostly keep to themselves. I can crate your pet if needed or provide a separate space to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. About: I’m a 24 year old looking to expand my dog sitting business. I’m punctual, trustworthy, reliable and loving. I also have vet tech experience and am in school to become a veterinarian so you pet will always be safe in my hands. I’m very active so pets that need lots of exercise are no problem for me as I love to hike and run. I love all animals big and small so if you have cats or other pets I can care for them as well. I’m very neat and quiet and always leave the home looking better than when I came. I’m a non smoker and also don’t party so you won’t have to worry about your home while you are away. “Margaret is extremely conscientious and dedicated. She did say thorough call to understand my dog's behaviors and needs. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”
About: I have been dog walking for friends and families for about 10 years now with a variety of dogs! My experience with different breeds of dogs has shown me that all dogs have different needs to be met. My own dogs has taught me to always be aware of everything and to always be there for them. I enjoy being able to connect with animals and will make your dog my first priority! I will be wearing a mask when dog walking or sitting and will be following the CDC guidelines for COVID-19I am a student at Seattle University and all classes are online so I am free whenever you need a sitter or a walker :) Please let me know if you have any questions.
