About: Diagnosed with allergies in childhood, I didn’t have pets until in my 20s, when I picked a week-old kitten from a litter & raised him. Thelonious used to walk between my shoulders as I moved around the house, and slept in my bed. Friends told me he behaved more like a dog than a cat—very affectionate. We were very close. His death broke my heart & I still miss him. Seven years ago, I did cat-sitting for a friend whose apartment in NYC I stayed in for a summer while working nearby on Varick Street. He was a very easygoing cat. Years later, my stepson left his dogs at our house & I was their primary minder. I fed, walked & played with them every day. Although I’d been around dogs a lot growing up, it’s one thing to be around them & another to be responsible for them & develop relationships with them. Each of the dogs had a very distinct personality, and I found them fascinating. Through those & other experiences with friends’ pets, I’ve found that I’m able to make connections with animals that go beyond words. I never would have imagined such a thing in childhood. These days I do house sitting & drop-ins for clients in Monmouth, Mercer & Middlesex Counties. I’m tending to pets with a wide range of needs & dispositions, and love I give is more than equaled by the love I receive from them. I’m truly humbled & in awe. Professionally, I managed desktop publishing & automated publishing for a Fortune 500 financial firm for 20 years. So I have a long track record of responsibility & discipline. About: i have 5 years experience from working at a pet resort in the past with all types of dog breeds. i have experience with feeding, walking, bathing and i am very detail oriented. i also have experience with puppies who are being potty trained, and senior dogs who need a little extra attention!i also have experience with medication management. i love to care for animals, am detail oriented, and will send you pictures throughout your time away! i currently work full time and go to school, but i am available to stay at your house and care for your animals from thursday-sundays. i will spend the night with them, take them on walks and play with them as well as any extra care you may want! my work schedule is 9am-5pm so they will be walked and fed before my work day starts, and given my full attention once i walk back in the door! i start the day taking your pet for a walk, feeding them and any other care needs! i can easily crate your fur child if needed while i am away at work. once i am home, i will take them for another nice walk, feed dinner, and play with them an hour after feeding. this is essential to wait an hour to prevent bloat! we will snuggle at night and start the next day the same way :) if you crate at night, that’s fine too!

I’m currently home full-time after pivoting from a 24-year career in drinking water safety following my second cancer diagnosis. I’m thrilled to say I’ve been cancer-free for almost three years—and working with dogs has brought me more joy and fulfillment than I could have imagined. Our household includes me, my husband, and two young adult children—one away at college in Texas. We share our home with two lovable pups: Lua, a 10-year-old Boxer/Plott Hound mix, and Nacho, a 9-year-old Basset Hound. We have a spacious fenced-in backyard, and when the weather is nice, we often keep the sliding door open so the dogs can come and go as they please. We love those days when the yard is full of happy pups running and playing—it feels just like our own private dog park! Dogs who stay with us have full run of the house, and they’re welcome to get cozy on couches and beds. If you prefer certain rules for your dog (no furniture, staying off certain floors, etc.), I’m happy to follow your guidelines so their routine stays consistent. In addition to hosting dogs in our home, I also enjoy cat sitting, dog walking, and providing doggy day care when needed. About: I’m on Rover to help you out with any / all your pets needs while you’re away! I work full time as a student analyst in a public school. I don’t dog train, but I am familiar with any techniques that you may need for your pup! I have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own. I have experience with all breeds! All mutts and senior pups are welcome. I also have experience administering medication to dogs. All dogs of breeds and age deserve attention and love. I’d love it if you let me love your pets as if they are my own too! My calendar may not always reflect accurately as my times with my full-time job (human) clients do fluctuate. If it is blocked off it means I am 100% unavailable. I don’t recommend myself in terms of full-on puppy training and 24/7 puppy care due to my schedule but I am versed in the training techniques due to my career. I am available weekends for extra care and staying in your home full time. My pets are well loved and taken care of while I care for others. I will never be able to host in my home, so please consider this! I offer in home care, overnight, daily walks, and check ins. Animals will not be hosted in my home due to a senior dog I have who is on medication. For those reasons, home sitting is only available in terms of long care. I have done walks, trips to stores, parks, yard play, and car trips with fur babies for daily drop ins, walks, or overnight stays!

About: Hello Walks and wags are everything. Owner of a female Shepherd and grew up around dogs my entire life. On my visits, lots of individual time spent playing, treating, training and caring for your child. 30 minute minimum walking, playing fetch, brushing, and above all keeping in contact with the owner at all times.
