“Absolutely recommend Victoria. She is so patient with my dogs and there is 4 of them so they can be a lot to deal with. My Chihuahua is so picky with people and he really likes her which gives me peace of mind. We have used her twice and will use her in the future for sure.”

“Aro was very communicative, accommodating, and sent so many pics! Our pup Willie was immediately very comfortable and seems to have had a great time. Would definitely rebook with Aro!”

“Carole was absolutely fantastic with our dog while we were gone. We were frantically searching for a new rover in our small town and she came to the rescue. She was so kind and loving to our dog it was the first time we have left him with a Rover and felt confident that he was going to be okay. We didn’t worry once throughout our trip and she sent us update and videos of our little dude while we were away. Our 60lb pit bull was no match for her kindness and patience. I cannot recommend Carole enough. Anyone who gets the pleasure of having her watch your pups is a lucky person! PS: she baked us fresh zucchini bread while we were away so we had something to eat when we got home ❤️”

“Conrad was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was very happy and well cared for. Communication was excellent, and pictures were sent as requested. We will definitely be using Conrad’s services again in the near future.”

About: I have had animals in my home my entire life, so pet sitting isn't anything new to me! I have been all over the place in terms of pet care including newborn puppies, senior pets, and those with specific diets. I was also an intern at an animal hospital a few years back, so I know a thing or two about administering medications. I am a full-time college student, so I may not always be available in the mornings, but I am willing to stay overnight and check on pets regularly. Whether your pet needs a walk, bath, brush, play or cuddles, I'm here for it! I am studying at CU Denver and my classes are mostly in the morning and mid-day. I have Fridays and Saturdays off which works great if you're to looking to take a weekend trip! I typically keep animals where I can see them to avoid accidents in the home. To ensure the safety of your pets and your house, I will make sure to lock the doors after I leave and at night time. I always pick up after myself - you'll never know I was there!
“Saphir is very communicative and will make sure your experience is easy and care-free! He did a great job taking care of my dog and they got along very well. I would highly suggest booking with Saphir!”

“We loved working with Patricia every step of the way: she was super communicative, easily picked up on our pups quirks, dramas and sweet spots, sent pictures during our trip and even met us at home to debrief how everything went. It was the first trip we've taken where neither one of us said "I hope everything will be okay" because Patricia was such a good fit that it was obvious it would be. An amazing, worry-free time away for us.”

“We come home to a very content, happy dog. What more can we ask for? Ashley has a way with our dog and Penny loves having her here. The house is clean and tidy when we get back. We will definitely continue to ask Ashley to care for Penny when we’re gone.”
“Matthew checked in several times during the time I was away, a few times everyday, to communicate the well-being of my dogs. I received pictures and videos. I am pretty happy with the way the house was left.”

“Lex took great care of our older dog and loved on him the whole time! She also takes such awesome care of our house. She makes it easy to leave for long periods of time without having to worry about home.”

“Alex is the best! We have a high energy, slight neurotic dog and Alex gave him all the love and attention he needed. Our cat is old and needs medicine daily and Alex made sure she was comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend! And will definitely rebook in the future.”

“Coral took very good care of Cookie. Coral gave us daily updates and even gave us an overall update. Coral was communicative and paid close attention to detailed requests. She took care of our place like it was her own and when we got back it was the same as when we left.”

“Robin was amazing and so easy to work with. She made me feel at ease while I was out of town. I know she treated my animals as if they were her own and I highly recommend her!”

About: Hi, my name is Catherine. I’ve always been an animal person, and my home life definitely reflects that. I have experience caring for cats, kittens, dogs, and rescue animals, including pets who need a little extra patience, attention, or special care. I’m comfortable with feeding, medications, litter boxes, walks, playtime, cuddles, and all the less glamorous parts of pet care too. 😂 My goal when you’re away is to make your pets feel as comfortable and loved as possible while keeping their normal routine. I know how stressful it can be to leave your animals with someone else, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you know they’re happy, safe, and being spoiled appropriately. I’m also happy to care for your home while I’m there, bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out trash, and generally making sure everything is just how you left it. Whether you need a quick drop-in, daily visits, or someone to stay overnight while you're away, I’m happy to work with your pets’ individual personalities and routines. I work remotely so I can be there throughout the day or as needed, just let me know what you prefer. My weekends are generally fairly open. When I’m caring for pets in your home, my priority is to keep everything as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. ❤️ I follow each pet’s specific feeding schedule and dietary needs carefully, making sure meals are given on time and exactly as instructed. If your pet requires medication, I administer it with care and attention, following all directions precisely.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 456 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Roggen. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roggen walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roggen maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roggen choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roggen. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
