“What a god-send Victoria was for us. Our animals seemed to like her very much, she was very open and communicative, and our pets and home were in great shape when we returned, would definitely rebook in the future.”
“Aro did a lovely job taking care of our multiple pets. Our dog is anxious and doesn’t do well with all new people but he was happy and calm when a got home after a few nights away. Loved getting the photo updates too!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! 🐾 She stayed at our house while we were away and took absolutely amazing care of our dogs. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were comfortable in their own home and getting so much attention. She sent tons of photos and updates, which we loved seeing while we were gone. Our dogs got plenty of playtime every day, especially their favorite game of chuckit multiple times a day! You could tell they were happy, exercised, and well cared for the whole time. Our house was also in great shape when we got back, which we really appreciated. We’re so grateful for the care and attention she gave our pups and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. We will definitely be booking with her again! 🐶”

“Mariah and Dani stayed at our house for a long stay and did an amazing job. We got pictures daily of our girls which we loved! They gave our special needs dog medication everyday which can be difficult, and everything seemed to go off without a hitch. Our house was so spotless and left nicer than when we went on vacation. They were kind enough to clean the sheets and towels which they didn’t need to do but we so appreciate it! We highly recommend these two as they really made us feel at ease being away from home. We would absolutely love to book them again!”

“We were in a last-minute bind with an unexpected puppy and nowhere to board her and our other dog for a week (our puppy hadn’t had all of her shots yet). Dillon scheduled an impromptu Meet and Greet the day before we left. And was able to come to our house and watch all of our animals. I was very nervous to have a stranger in our home but I read all of the reviews on Rover and took a chance. Dillon is very mellow - as is his pup. We were grateful Dillon (and Bucky) were a good fit in our situation.”

“Aaliyah was fantastic! She stayed at our residence while we were on vacation. This was a last minute request from us on Rover. We were gone for 6 days. She took good care of our dogs. We asked her if she could stay until we got home Sunday, and without hesitation, she said yes. She left no messes in our home. We will definitely use her again.”

“Carole was absolutely fantastic with our dog while we were gone. We were frantically searching for a new rover in our small town and she came to the rescue. She was so kind and loving to our dog it was the first time we have left him with a Rover and felt confident that he was going to be okay. We didn’t worry once throughout our trip and she sent us update and videos of our little dude while we were away. Our 60lb pit bull was no match for her kindness and patience. I cannot recommend Carole enough. Anyone who gets the pleasure of having her watch your pups is a lucky person! PS: she baked us fresh zucchini bread while we were away so we had something to eat when we got home ❤️”

“Lex took great care of our older dog and loved on him the whole time! She also takes such awesome care of our house. She makes it easy to leave for long periods of time without having to worry about home.”

“We came home to a very happy dog and a clean apartment. Ashley was great about sending pictures and texts daily and is a good communicator. We would love for her to petsit again for us.”
About: I have had animals in my home my entire life, so pet sitting isn't anything new to me! I have been all over the place in terms of pet care including newborn puppies, senior pets, and those with specific diets. I was also an intern at an animal hospital a few years back, so I know a thing or two about administering medications. I am a full-time college student, so I may not always be available in the mornings, but I am willing to stay overnight and check on pets regularly. Whether your pet needs a walk, bath, brush, play or cuddles, I'm here for it! I am studying at CU Denver and my classes are mostly in the morning and mid-day. I have Fridays and Saturdays off which works great if you're to looking to take a weekend trip! I typically keep animals where I can see them to avoid accidents in the home. To ensure the safety of your pets and your house, I will make sure to lock the doors after I leave and at night time. I always pick up after myself - you'll never know I was there!
“Robin was amazing and so easy to work with. She made me feel at ease while I was out of town. I know she treated my animals as if they were her own and I highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my unique background, experience, and commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized care for every animal entrusted to me. I am a prior Military Police Veteran with experience working alongside K9s, which has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior, communication, structure, and the importance of building trust and respect between a pet and their caregiver. While I have specialized experience with dogs, my love and care extend beyond just cats and dogs. I have experience caring for a variety of four legged family members and understand that every animal has their own personality, needs, routines, and ways of communicating. Whether it’s an energetic pup, a senior pet needing extra patience, or another furry companion needing attention and care, I approach each animal with the same compassion, responsibility, and respect. I have experience recognizing body language, understanding different temperaments, reinforcing positive behaviors, and helping pets feel safe and comfortable in new situations. I believe every pet deserves care that is tailored to who they are, whether they need exercise and enrichment, extra companionship, medication support, consistency with routines, or simply someone who will provide love and attention while their family is away. I am also a proud owner of three dogs of my own, which keeps me active and continuously learning about proper exercise, nutrition, routines, and the importance of consistency. Caring for my own pets has strengthened my attention to detail and my commitment to providing the same level of honesty, reliability, and love to every pet entrusted to me. My goal is to give each animal the care, patience, and companionship they deserve while giving owners peace of mind knowing their beloved family members are in capable, caring, and trustworthy hands. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine, so caring for your pet will fit in seamlessly. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate a variety of routines and timing needs, whether that’s early morning walks, midday potty breaks, or evening care.I enjoy keeping dogs active with daily walks or runs of at least two miles, and I’m happy to tailor the activity level to each dog’s age, energy, and abilities. I also incorporate positive reinforcement training throughout the day, including before, during, and after mealtimes, to help reinforce good manners and build confidence.I have a reliable vehicle equipped with a dog seat cover, so I’m able to take pups on adventures to local dog parks, walking trails, or hiking spots (with owner approval). Most importantly, I’m committed to working with each pet owner’s schedule and preferences to provide consistent, dependable care that keeps both pets and their families happy. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while maintaining the routine they’re used to. I provide companionship for pets with separation anxiety, take dogs on walks to keep them happy and active, feed meals according to your instructions, and make sure they have plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. I’m also happy to clean up any accidents or messes that may happen while you’re away. I take great pride in being clean, organized, and respectful of every home I enter. I’ll treat your home with the same care and attention I give my own, leaving it just as tidy as I found it. I understand how important it is to have peace of mind while you’re away, and I’ll always provide dependable, trustworthy care for both your pets and your home.
“This was a 1st time experience for me, leaving a puppy, in a new environment. Matt exceeded my expectations! It was comforting to know my Quin was being so well taken care of. From the get go they connected and it was heartwarming to see how adaptable she was. I couldn’t be more pleased!”

“Mickayla was very flexible and accommodating to all of our schedules and made the planning of our trip go very smoothly. She sent pictures of our pups daily and took great care of them. Mickayla excels in communicating her schedule changes, timing, or any other needs. We would definitely use Mickayla again!”

“As usual, AJ is so great with our dogs and a joy to have help us out with house sitting and dog sitting. They were even concerned about our safety driving during a big snow. One of our little guys was pretty upset that we left this time, and AJ really went above and beyond to help him deal with it. I wish AJ was always available to watch our boys.”
“Alex is the best! We have a high energy, slight neurotic dog and Alex gave him all the love and attention he needed. Our cat is old and needs medicine daily and Alex made sure she was comfortable and taken care of. Highly recommend! And will definitely rebook in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 456 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Roggen. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roggen walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roggen maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roggen choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roggen. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
