Bella was wonderful while I was out of the country for a week. She stayed at my house with my boy and sent updates so I knew he was happy and safe while I was gone. King loves Bella and I appreciate having someone I can trust to take care of my boy.

Mikayla took fantastic care of our babies and our home while we were away for the week. We could tell she really takes pride in what she does and how she does it. Our Pups really like Mikayla and even wanted to follow her home when we returned. Our house was exactly as we left it a week earlier. Great job! 🐾

About: My résumé includes dogs, cats, muddy boots, mystery noises in barns, and convincing animals that the thing they absolutely do not want to do is actually a great idea. I've learned that patience, consistency, and a pocket full of treats or a favorite toy solve most problems. Animals have always been a huge part of my world. On any given day, I might be caring for horses, spending time with my dogs and cats, or helping a nervous animal feel comfortable in a new situation. I understand that every pet is different. Some want a long walk and a game of fetch. Some want a quiet companion who respects their space. Some have very strong opinions about breakfast arriving precisely on time. I have experience caring for animals of all ages, from energetic youngsters to seniors who need a slower pace and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable with large dogs, multi-pet households, and pets with established routines that need to be followed carefully. Friends often describe me as observant and dependable. I pay attention to details, communicate clearly, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal's personality. Whether your pet is an adventure buddy, a professional napper, or a lovable troublemaker, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you're away. As a lifelong animal owner, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I will treat them with the same attention and respect I give my own. I currently have flexible availability most days of the week and can often accommodate pet care requests around my existing animal care responsibilities. Caring for animals is already a part of my daily routine, so I understand the importance of consistency, communication, and showing up when expected. Beginning in August, my availability will shift as I start graduate school, and I will primarily be available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. I believe in being upfront about scheduling and only accepting bookings that I can fully commit to, so you can count on reliable care and clear communication. Every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to follow it as closely as possible. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, meals (if needed), potty breaks, exercise, and attention tailored to their personality. Some pets want to play, some want belly rubs, and some prefer a quiet companion who respects their space. For walks, I focus on safety, consistency, and making sure your dog gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I pay attention to weather conditions, energy levels, and each dog's comfort and confidence. I also keep an eye on the little things. As someone who has cared for animals for many years, I know that changes in appetite, energy, mobility, or behavior can be important. If I notice something unusual, I will communicate it promptly. In a client's home, I respect both the pet's routine and the household itself. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and cared for while you're away, and for you to come home to a happy pet and a home just as you left it.

Ted and Sara did an excellent fun/job with The Duke. The Duke has extreme anxiety in a vehicle, so we reached out to Rover and thankfully we found Ted and Ted got The Duke to like him and Ted got to see The Duke’s sweet personality. Ted sent multiple pics and descriptions of the day with The Duke and Ted even mopped our kitchen floor, St Bernards can be very messy. Ted even left us framed pictures of The Duke, so sweet and thoughtful. If we travel again Ted is the one I’ll call and if you need someone who is competent and very good at his job, get Ted

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for animals, beginning with early exposure to veterinary clinics where I spent time shadowing and learning animal handling and care from a young age. This foundation grew into professional veterinary technician experience, where I worked with dogs and cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs, including senior pets, puppies, and animals requiring daily medications or specialized care. In addition to my veterinary background, I volunteered with a service dog organization where I raised and trained future guide dogs. This experience strengthened my skills in leash training, socialization, crate training, and positive reinforcement methods while working with high-expectation working dogs in real-world environments. I also actively continue dog training as a personal passion and have earned three AKC Trick Dog titles with my own dog. Because of this, I’m very comfortable working with energetic dogs, reinforcing basic obedience, and providing structured enrichment during walks and visits. I currently share my home with two dogs and a cat, so I understand day-to-day pet care, multi-pet dynamics, and the importance of consistency and routine. As a pet owner myself, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My goal is always to provide safe, reliable, and attentive care whether that means a structured walk, a drop-in visit, medication administration, or simply making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I structure my day around consistency and flexibility. I am able to accommodate morning, midday, and afternoon visits, as well as regular walking schedules and drop-in care throughout the week. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can prioritize pet care visits and ensure pets receive attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship on time. I’m used to building my day around routines, whether that’s scheduled walks, feeding times, or medication needs. I value clear communication and reliability, and I make it a priority to be punctual and consistent with every visit so pets feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and secure while their owners are away. I follow all instructions closely regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific care needs. During drop-in visits, I make sure pets receive attention, fresh water, feeding if needed, potty breaks, playtime, and any required medication. I also take time to provide companionship and help pets feel calm and comfortable before leaving. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match the dog’s energy level and needs. I pay close attention to leash manners, surroundings, and each dog’s comfort level to ensure a positive experience. I always treat each home with respect, keep things clean and organized, and provide updates so owners feel informed and confident while they are away.

About: I grew up in a house with many pets around. We had dogs, cats, and even some farm animals. I understand how these little critters become important members of families. I will treat your pets with the love and compassion they deserve! I am used to cleaning up messes and walking dogs on a leash, nothing new for me! I work a full time job and get out around 3:30 p.m most days. Unfortunately this limits my availability during the weekdays and I can only do evening visits on Monday - Fridays--unless the address happens to be close to my work near downtown Spartanburg. I'll be available for overnight stays anytime of the week. Please dont hesitate to ask me any availability questions! I will only be taking clients that need service in their own homes, as I do not want the complications of introducing new animals to my pets in my home.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for about 5 years, and I really enjoy it. I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes seniors, big dogs, small dogs, friendly, not friendly. I’ve also taken care of cats and other animals! I’m a student at Wofford College, which actually gives me a pretty flexible schedule plenty of time during the week to stop by for visits, walks, or feedings whenever your pet needs it. I’m also happy to stay overnight if that works better for you and your pet’s routine. Just let me know what you need and I’ll work around it! I’ll make sure to play with your pet and give them plenty of love and attention while I’m there. I’m happy to stay for however long you’d like so they get real socializing time. Just let me know what works best for you and your pet, and I’ll make it happen!

Diego was a godsend. He was willing to make two home visits so Patch could get to know him better. Patch was clearly very comfortable with Diego, Diego check in regularly, sent photos, and left my come home cleaner than he found it. Even washed linens and towels. Patch and I have a new friend for sure. I highly recommend Diego. PS Being new to the area I also got some great suggestions for restaurants and coffee houses.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Roebuck on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 843 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Roebuck. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Roebuck walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Roebuck maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Roebuck choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Roebuck. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
