Hello, my name is MehLayne (pronounced Mel-uh-nee) and I can not wait to take care of your fur baby! My senior chihuahua BB passed in June 2026 but she lived a happy life to age 23 🤗. I have taken care of a variety of pets since I was a young child and loved each and every one of them. The animals have ranged from a caterpillar turned butterfly, fish, a frog, cats, dogs, and even a squirrel. I would like to show that same care to your fur babies as well! This job will be my main focus so I can provide the most efficient and flexible service that I can. I am able to drive so I can get to you as soon as you need me! Looking forward to hearing from you. Mehlayne is a delight. She stayed with my pup for the first time while I was away for a week. She and Clancy warmed to each other immediately. She is a great communicator and has a kind and gentle spirit. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again, I’m sure.
Mehlayne went above and beyond to care for our pets. She communicated often and sent us lots of photos updates. We were able to travel with peace of mind knowing our babies were safe and in good hands. 10/10 would recommend Mehlayne to anyone looking for a trusted pet sitter.

Mehlayne did a wonderful job of caring for our sweet old Roxy. Our pup is 16 years old, has medical needs such as breathing treatments and medication administration and she even took Roxy to the Vet 4 times for routine fluid administration. While we are away for our 13 day vacation to Alaska, she sent daily pictures of our sweet little girl and messages regarding her day. Considering that Roxy had never been apart from us for more than 3 days, we were very pleased when we returned and she was in excellent health and eating very well, which could be a challenge at times. I could tell from the beginning that they were a good fit, especially since Melanie has a very elderly dog herself. We will be happy to book her again if needed and recommend her to anyone that is looking for someone to care for their pup.
Mehlayne did a great job with my girls. She came for a meet and greet prior to the stay. She was on time, professional and thorough with my instructions. She’s also a great communicator which put me at ease while traveling to know my girls were in good hands.
We used Mehlayne for a second time while we were visiting Greenville and our pup seemed well taken care of. Unfortunately, he was too stressed to eat anything all day, but this is normal for him when he’s out of his routine and home environment. He wasn’t too anxious when we returned, which can be a good sign. We plan to use Mehlayne again during our future travels to Greenville.
