“Cassie is an amazing sitter - she is so friendly and communicative, and took in my dog Abby when I was in need of last-minute day care. She sent photos and videos throughout the day, and even helped my shy dog warm up to her sweet pup. I felt so comfortable knowing Abby was in her hands and would 1000% book with her again! She is a friendly dog lover and Abby and I both look forward to seeing her next time.”

“This was our first visit with Deanne. Doggy Daycare was a hit! Cash was happy when I picked him up. He was sound asleep on the couch within a 1/2 of getting home. I think he had a busy day with his new lil buddy!”

About: My previous experience with dogs gives me the ability to provide personalized and attentive care, as well as reliability and trustworthiness. I understand the effort it take to really connect with a dog, and I promise to do that with every dog I interact with. I work fully remote with a very laid back schedule. I am able to give your pet direct attention throughout the day with lots of play time. This also allows me to let them out frequently and go on walks. I currently do not have any other pets living in my apartment, and the place is theirs to roam. I do not have a fenced in yard so if playtime was outdoors I would keep them on a leash.
About: What makes me different? I treat your pets like they’re my own! Whether it’s helping puppies learn the ropes, giving extra TLC to senior pets, or just making sure your furry friend gets plenty of play, love, and belly rubs. I always send updates so you’re never out of the loop. Think of me as your pet’s new best buddy! Im a college student with flexible availability. I’m always caring for my mom’s dogs when she’s out of town so the routine is already established! When I care for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routine closely, whether it’s feeding, walks, or medication. I keep their space clean, give them plenty of attention, and try to make them feel as comfortable as possible while their person is away. I always respect the home, keep things tidy, and send regular updates. If anything seems off, I let the owner know right away.

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of our family. Last year, we said goodbye to our English Bulldog after 12 wonderful years, and while my family is not quite ready for another forever pup yet, I am excited to open our home and hearts to other dogs in the meantime. I work from home full-time, so your pup will have lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, and I'll treat your dog like part of the family. Whether your pup loves playtime, walks, cuddles, or just relaxing company, I'm happy to provide a loving and comfortable environment. I work from home full-time during the work week, which allows me to provide flexible scheduling, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. Your pup won’t be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of companionship and supervision while in my care. I’m available for boarding, daycare, and drop-in visits with a schedule that can accommodate most pet needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in the country on a full acre with a large fenced-in backyard, giving dogs plenty of safe space to run, explore, and play. Our home provides a calm, loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and relaxed while away from their families. Pets receive lots of supervision, attention, and care throughout the day. I’ll always treat your dog like part of the family and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved during their stay.
About: Nestled on 6 acres of wooded land, my country home is the perfect place for a pup of any age to play, relax and explore while you're away! With a large fenced in yard, toys, activies, and walks, there is so much to do! Having 14 years of experience working with pets, I feel confident in providing a safe, fun, and relaxing environment for your fur family that will leave you feeling confident and comfortable with your pet's care. After starting my career as a pet groomer, I started working at a boarding facility where I fell in love with pet care! Watching dogs interact and play, running around outside and the carefree and happy faces of all the pups ignited my passion. After four years at the boarding facility, my family and I moved to Colorado for a new job opportunity, where my love of dogs drove me to work at an animal shelter. I gained much insight and knowledge from my time there, including vet care and training, but ultimately knew that wasn't where I was meant to be. After covid hit, my family moved back to Wiscosnin, and in 2022 bought our dream home! I am so excited to welcome your furbabies into my home and give them all the love and care they could possibly need while they are with me. Whether it's exploring the land, cuddling on the couch, or catching up on some grooming, I am happy to provide anything and everything I can to make your pup love staying with me as much as their own home! Important note: Summer is my busy season, so during the months of June-August I will not be requiring a meet and greet as long as your dog has been boarded before and gets along well with other dogs. If you would still like a meet and greet, I would be happy to schedule one with you, but please be patient in scheduling as it is a busy time. Thank you! Boarding is my fulltime job so I am home every day to care for the animals. Pickup and drop off hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Every day is a new adventure! From walks to pool time in the yard, snuggles on the couch or bed and fun holiday activies, your pup will be on their own little vacation while you're away. Safety is always my top concern. While your dogs are with me they will never be left unsupervised; in the case of having to leave for a doctor's appointment etc. they will be crated. I have a fenced in yard with locks on it, so there is no chance of a dog slipping through or opening the gate. I am also trained on signals and body language to prevent dog fights or injuries.
“Broke has been great. My pup always loves his visit and I get plenty of photos and updates throughout the day. She’s attentive and was very flexible with me on my pickup and drop off time. I’ve been a repeat customer, and look forward to continuing to be one. Thank you, Brooke! Me and Milo appreciate you.”

“Teresa and her husband were incredibly accommodating when it came down to my last minute schedule. My dog had a blast with all of theirs, and promptly fell asleep a minute after getting into the truck to go home. I was kept up to date with pics and videos throughout her time there to let me know she was ok and having a great time. I'll absolutely be using them again to care for my dog, they were absolutely terrific.”
“Tia and Colin took amazing care of our girl and she had an amazing day! Tia sent lots of photos and updates and was extremely communicative and caring! We will rebook any time we’re back in Wisconsin! Thanks again!”

About: I have only had my own dogs to engage with but I love to teach them new tricks and help them learn. I am also not afraid to get to know shy pets I would be available after 4:30pm weekends but available all weekend. I work around having other jobs but am open those parts of the day I feed them, walk them, and teach them new tricks. I also love to play with my dogs to get the energy out of them

About: I'm an energetic person who enjoys being with dogs. I pay close attention to detail and I am always willing to engage in activities to keep your dog busy but I also know dogs need some down time as well. I stay at home full-time so I will be able to provide plenty of potty breaks and play time in the backyard. I am currently a dog daddy to a Chihuahua named Lucy. She'll be 1 years old on November 1st. She's very loving and friendly dog. I have 7 years of experience. I don't mind taking your dogs or puppies out for walks instead of just staying in the backyard. I will take good care of your beloved pets as if they were my very own.
“Melissa was an amazing host! She was super responsive and very attentive to my pups special needs. So grateful for sitters like Melissa who really care for your pet like their own. 10/10 would reccomendo and will book again!”

“We love Sandy and so do our dogs! We honestly don’t know what we would do without her. She takes such great care of our girls that they seem completely unimpressed when we come to pick them up at the end of each stay. Highly recommend!”

“I was in town for an appointment and dropped my dog spooky off for a couple hours. The appointment went a little long and they were very understanding and let me come a little later than we had planned. Very nice people and they had an amazing backyard for spooky to explore! He is now sleeping peacefully after his morning of fun!”

“Carol and Steve are excellent hosts. Our Cavapoo is extremely anxious and they provided personal attention to keep him calm. I got multiple messages with photos that made me comfortable. Already reserved more days. I would highly recommend their services.”

About: Hello! I’m Carolyn and I’d like to think I’m a bit of a pro when it comes to dogs. Growing up I was the neighborhood dog sitter. I did this for free because I just loved dogs. I had a horse growing up and spent countless hours on the farm with all the animals caring for them. It truly is my calling. In my mid 20’s I managed a doggy daycare for over a year while I was between careers. This was by far my favorite job ever, and running my own doggy daycare became a dream. My dog, Talley, came to work with me every day. She got the perks of daycare and I got the perks of playing with 20 dogs! Talley lived a pampered life with us for 16 years. She had Cushing and was successfully on meds for this for over 4 years. I have lots of experience with senior dogs, medication and specialty care. I also have lots of puppy experience and have raised 2 puppies myself. My 2 year old Golden Retriever, Poppy, loves playing and is always looking for a game of chase or a wrestle. She is thrilled to know we have other friends coming over to play with her. My husband Todd and I have 3 daughters that are 11, 8, and 5. They loves animals as much as me. They are always playing with the dogs and taking them out to play in our fenced backyard. Check out my Facebook page to see lots of videos and stories of dogs I watch throughout the week “Carolyn’s pup and farm care”. This has lots of pictures and videos of the house, yard and happy dogs! Interested in dog walking?? I walk 3-6 miles per day so if you need someone to come walk your dog I’m a great fit for that too. I tailor my walks for my 4 legged friends. Older pups go on shorter walks, I avoid extreame heat and cold so their paws don’t get hurt. I’m super fit and can walk for hours so if you need a regular walker, or just a once in a while walker, I’m your girl. I can walk just your dog, or bring my 2 year old Golden along so they have a friend. Sometimes the weather stinks and walking isn’t ideal. I’m happy to go over and let your dog out, feed them, and play inside with them. Whatever works for you and your dog I’m happy to do! Right now, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are my walking days. Why I’m on Rover: We have an amazing horse, Steel, and that’s my reason for being on Rover. I show this beautiful guy and it’s quite expensive and he is quite spoiled. To be in top shape this magnificent horse receives chiropractic, massages, training and constant care. Did I mention I love my animals, lol. So, to supplement my horse showing I’ve decided to open our home up to dog walking, doggy daycare and boarding. Not sure if I’m more excited or the kids :) My Schedule: I’m a stay at home mom. My daughters are in school during the week. I’m home in the mornings until about 9:30, then I go to the horse barn to train for a couple hours during doggy nap time. Then I’m home the rest of the day and evening. My dog eats 3 meals a day and go on 1-2 walks (weather depending- her feet are sensitive to the salt and cold). She goes out in the fenced yard about 30 times a day. My golden has me trained to open the door when she paws at it. She truly hit the jackpot with me and is so loved. I believe in routine and my golden Poppy has my every move down. “Welp, time to go” and she lays down for nap. When workout socks go on she know it’s walk time. Cooking in the kitchen means party time in the back yard. We have lots of space to run inside and out. We are a loving family that will adore your dog while you’re away. For boarding- About our home: I have a fenced back yard for the dogs to run and play in. We have a large almost 4000 square foot home for the dogs to play in. We have a swimming pool in a separate fenced in area so if your dog is a swimmer they will have a blast in the summer. Other than the few hours I leave to go ride the horse, I’m home all day. After our walk, my dogs follow me room to room and help with chores. We also have a large backyard that isn’t fenced for the dogs to run in. It’s about 1 acre of beautiful mowed lawn, so no brush or thistles for them to run through. Important to note that I only unleash a dog if it has a recall. My older dog can’t hear as well so her days of running outside the fenced yard are over. This is for the safety of the dog and for others. It’s only fair to allow a dog to run free if it knows how to safely return. My golden, Poppy, loves every person and every dog. I’ll never send a dog home dirty. So if that means a quick rinse or a full out bath, that’s what we will do. I have all the grooming brushes and will pretty your pup up before they head home.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Rochester
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 709 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Rochester. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Rochester commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 709 sitters in Rochester, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
