This was our first time ever leaving them with a sitter. She arrived on time (5 minutes early!) and was very friendly, confident and professional. She sent adorable photo updates of the dogs who were cuddled up with her on the couch and took them out when they needed it. It is clear that she respected our home and took great care of our dogs. Upon our return we found everything as we had left it and a very happy Bailey eager to have us go on another vacation in order to have fun with Pat again. We highly recommend Pat as she saved the situation for us. Initially, we did some "interviews" with a local kennel but were rejected since all Bailey did during the "all day trial" was try to escape. On future trips, Pat will be the first person we'll contact for the job.”

About: I have owned and cared for all sorts of animals professionally my entire life. While pursuing my Bachelor's degree I continued to work with animals and study animal welfare and behaviour. I take great pride in my attentive nature and promised to go above and beyond for your pet! For the past 5 years I have specialized in senior and special needs care, ensuring that medication and therapeutic schedules are maintained while the animal's main caregiver is away. Above all, I love all animals and want to make sure that your pet is as happy as can be! I am also available to provide training and/or continue training plans for your pets so they never skip a beat! I ride and train horses professionally so I am home all day and all my pets have an active play area outside while my hands are full with the horses. Your pet will enjoy a "farm feel" house sit where their days are filled with hands on walking and hands-free play. All the pets sleep inside and are welcome to sit on the couch while we wind down with an episode of TV or two! I have a fenced yard with grass and dirt for your pet to play in. I also am comfortable with special needs cases that need to be inside or that are unable to play off leash.

About: Animals are wonderful beings! They have a way of reminding us to slow down, be present and get outside. Having been without pets for quite a number of years, I am missing their presence in my life. I grew up with poodles, springer spaniels and terriers. I had two cats of my own (Ruth and Monica) and loved them dearly. I'm considering a move to a quieter (and more rural) part of Vancouver Island and am looking to explore some of the areas outside of Victoria and house/pet sitting is a great way to get a feel for other communities. I'm also interested in exploring areas of the BC interior. I'm a devoted, reliable, dedicated animal lover and I take pride in doing any project to the best of my ability. I have a care-giver background, having worked in dental health and as a yoga teacher for many years. I have lots of experience with landscaping and I love to garden. About: I've taken care of family dogs since a young age. I enjoy play time with big dogs in the great outdoors and have always enjoyed the physical exercise involved with keeping dogs active.
