“Emma was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and was very clean and respectful of our home. Our dog is on the high maintenance side and she was able to manage him very well. Highly recommend.”

“Chantal was amazing with my dog. She had a hard time with new people but Chantal was calm and great and my dog warmed up very nicely. The house was left clean which was a huge relief 😅”

“Sonya was able to take a last minute booking to watch my two French bulldogs for a few hours so my husband I could go out for my birthday stress-free. This was our first time ever leaving them with a sitter. She arrived on time (5 minutes early!) and was very friendly, confident and professional. She sent adorable photo updates of the dogs who were cuddled up with her on the couch and took them out when they needed it. It is clear that she respected our home and took great care of our dogs. They seemed very happy! Will definitely have Sonya watch them again in the future!”

“According to Bailey, our Maltese, Pat treated him with attention and affection like never before (except from us) while we were away on Christmas vacation: he frankly hated to see her leave. Pat responded to our enquiry promptly and met with us on two occasions to get all the details regarding staying in our home, including Bailey's culinary details and exercise and sleeping preferences. Upon our return we found everything as we had left it and a very happy Bailey eager to have us go on another vacation in order to have fun with Pat again. We highly recommend Pat as she saved the situation for us. Initially, we did some "interviews" with a local kennel but were rejected since all Bailey did during the "all day trial" was try to escape. On future trips, Pat will be the first person we'll contact for the job.”

“Kelsey took such great care with our two cats, Julian and Greta. She provided us with regular updates, made sure they were good on water, food, and litter, and went above and beyond to be affectionate and amazing company for them while we were gone over the holidays. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Alexander arrived on time and communicated throughout the stay. The house was tidy upon our return. Alexander put in additional effort by watering our plants when he noticed they were drooping and refilled my hummingbird feeders. Our two dogs were well cared for and we are sure they barely noticed we weren’t around!”

“Heather and Paul are so wonderful! They genuinely love animals. Caring for my animals seemed to fill their hearts and I was most comfortable knowing my cats were in good hands. Heather sent lots of pictures and I came home to happy kitties and a clean house!”

“Anna took great care of my young German Shepherd. My pup was safe, comfortable and happy - exactly what I was looking for. Excellent communication with her, the sitter. There was the perfect balance of activity and chill, especially given hotter temps mid-day. Highly recommended.”

“Nick did a fantastic job with our 11-year old cocker spaniel. I actually think our dog was sad to see us open the door when we got back rather than Nick. He was communicative throughout the time sending pictures and notes. The house was in great shape when we got back, as was our dog.”

About: I have owned and cared for all sorts of animals professionally my entire life. While pursuing my Bachelor's degree I continued to work with animals and study animal welfare and behaviour. I take great pride in my attentive nature and promised to go above and beyond for your pet! For the past 5 years I have specialized in senior and special needs care, ensuring that medication and therapeutic schedules are maintained while the animal's main caregiver is away. Above all, I love all animals and want to make sure that your pet is as happy as can be! I am also available to provide training and/or continue training plans for your pets so they never skip a beat! I ride and train horses professionally so I am home all day and all my pets have an active play area outside while my hands are full with the horses. Your pet will enjoy a "farm feel" house sit where their days are filled with hands on walking and hands-free play. All the pets sleep inside and are welcome to sit on the couch while we wind down with an episode of TV or two! I have a fenced yard with grass and dirt for your pet to play in. I also am comfortable with special needs cases that need to be inside or that are unable to play off leash.

“Nabil was wonderful! Our dog was well taken care of and the house was immaculate when we got home. Nabil kept us updated amd sent photos as well. Great communication. Highly recommend and we will definitely be using Nabil again to care for our fur baby!!”

“We were so lucky to find Kristin when our previous sitter cancelled last minute for our 2 week vacation. Kristin stayed in our house to look after our 2-yr old dog and 5-yr old cat. She kept great care of the pets, and our house was tidy when we returned home. We would definitely use Kristin again and can't thank her enough for accepting our booking last minute.”

About: Animals are wonderful beings! They have a way of reminding us to slow down, be present and get outside. Having been without pets for quite a number of years, I am missing their presence in my life. I grew up with poodles, springer spaniels and terriers. I had two cats of my own (Ruth and Monica) and loved them dearly. I'm considering a move to a quieter (and more rural) part of Vancouver Island and am looking to explore some of the areas outside of Victoria and house/pet sitting is a great way to get a feel for other communities. I'm also interested in exploring areas of the BC interior. I'm a devoted, reliable, dedicated animal lover and I take pride in doing any project to the best of my ability. I have a care-giver background, having worked in dental health and as a yoga teacher for many years. I have lots of experience with landscaping and I love to garden. I love building connections with people & animals. I am 'trauma-informed' and am familiar with 'Force Free' training principles. I'm comfortable with older pets and giving some meds as needed also. I've recently received a refresher with chicken coop care --gathering eggs, cleaning and maintaining the coop as well. Let's touch base with a phone call first to get a sense of each other. From there, if the 'fit' feels good--I'm happy to meet up in person on Vancouver Island. Alternatively, we can meet on video to get a feel for each other also. Looking forward to caring for your precious animal friends. I'm working on some entrepreneurial and writing projects (WFM) so I'm happy to take pups out in the morning and evening for walks, and longer hikes on the weekend too! I love to hike and explore rural and forested areas. Exercise is an essential part of each of my days and I'm happy to continue the exercise routines that you have in place for your pets :). Breaks for 'play' time are great for pets and for humans too! As a detail oriented person with a healthcare background, I understand the importance of providing the highest level of care to your pets. All of my airbnb references are 5 star, as I believe in the importance of leaving a place better than you found it. I've got fantastic personal references also. I'm registered with THS and House Sitters Canada. I've got a recent police check also. I'm more than happy to meet and review things in detail over zoom or meet up in person on Vancouver Island. I'm happy to provide consistent, reliable and loving care with your detailed guidance and instructions. As a former health-care worker (dental assistant and dental hygienist), I understand the importance of detailed, compassionate care and supporting your pets needs and regular routines.

“We LOVE Krissy! She was punctual, a great communicator and was loving and attentive to our dog. We were staying at The Paris Hotel in Las Vegas with our 6 year old Maltese, Coco. Generally, Coco goes everywhere with us, but in this instance, we were going to a show and needed a sitter. As we looked through Rover, we saw Krissy's profile and immediately knew she the sitter for Coco. She was fantastic! We felt completely comfortable having her care for Coco while we were away. She's kind, trustworthy and loving. Krissy even sent us pictures of Coco during the evening. We highly recommend her services!”

“Hallie was an amazing sitter for our dog Rosie! She watched her while we had our wedding and did a great job and was sooo flexible to help out extra. She also helped our dog run down the aisle to present the rings. Wonderful job!”
