“Ashley watched Daisy while she was recovering from surgery and couldn’t really play much. She kept her calm and snuggled up on the couch with her—exactly what Daisy needed that evening. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands. Thank you for being such a sweet caregiver. 🐾💗”

“Michael has watched our dogs (a pitbull and a corgi) twice now, and he's been great with them! We just got back from about a week of vacation, so it was nice to come home to happy dogs and a clean house!! Thanks again, Michael!! Highly recommend having him watch your pets!”

“Daniel was so helpful during his stay at our house! He helped bring the garbage in, collected our packages that were delivered while we were gone and even helped water our plants. We recieved daily pictures and updates about the animals and even an update of wind damage our property endured while we were hone. We will happily have Daniel help us again with our future trips!”

“Brandi was wonderful! Our dogs can be particular with new people and this was our first time leaving them with someone they don’t know. Brandi kept us up to date, sent photos, and communicated as needed. She left the house clean as well - we will definitely use her in the future!”

“Joe and I had the opportunity to have Hannah watch our sweet Oliver over a couple of days. She was prompt on the inital visit, as well and stopping in during the times that we needed her to attend to him. She took photo's and sent them to us regulary, which we appreciate. This was our first time with Hannah and we hope she will be able to watch him again. Thank you Hannah!”

“Ellie took amazing care of our girls! Our girls don't like being away from us and it was such a relief for us to know they were in such great hands. She did an excellent job communicating with us while we were gone. Our girls loved Elliot staying with them, we will definitely be contacting her again!”

“Ethan was amazing! I had a last minute booking and he made time for the meet and greet so I could confirm the fit before booking but he then went above and beyond when our times needed shifting after booking. He was available and made the change no complaint. He showed up on time and communicated throughout the booking process until arrival. Our dog was happy and cared for, fed and taken out to do his business as requested. I would use Ethan again.”

About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! In the summer there is lots more availability! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. Including overnights, walks, and administering medications, eye drops, pills, ect. So, I know how important it is to be mindful of someone’s else’s home and their four-legged (sometimes three) loved ones.
“Sammie was great! She arrived on time- stayed a little later too. Remy seemed happy and tired from a good night! This was our first Rover experience and we’re very pleased it went so well!”

About: I have lived with many different dogs over the years and like being around them. I currently don't own a dog because I live in an apartment and want to have a yard if I plan on owning one. So walking and caring for them gives me the experience I need for my own someday. Right now it's just part time but by summer I am hoping for full-time. I can take Dogs for walks or spend time playing with them. I am also more than willing to pet sit if needed. I also enjoy just chilling with cats. I currently do not own any pets although I have owned cats and horses in the past. I am currently just enjoying taking care of others peoples pets as that fits my lifestyle best at the moment. I am more than willing to give meds if needed and if I am sitting with take time to walk dogs or cats if they need it. I also don't mind grooming daily if needed as well.

“Megan was great! She made me feel so comfortable leaving our dog at home and she took great care of him. She also provided me with lots of updates and pictures, which I really appreciated!”

“Debra was a terrific sitter/companion for our 4 yr old Springer Spaniel rescue. She took great care of him and of our house for 5 nights. We received wonderful photos of their good time together. Came home to a happy dog and an immaculate house. Can’t say enough good things! We feel so lucky to have found her! Just hope she’s available when next we are in need!!!”

About: I've taken care of many dogs for friends and family members. Trained puppies for family as well as my own. Cared for older dogs who needed extensive care. Provided all types of care such as, walking, feeding, bathing, playing, and sitting. My schedule is very flexible so I have lots of availability. Morning drop offs and pick ups are great but can adjust as needed. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions. I have a spacious yard and only one small dog who gets along well with other dogs. My home does have space for a crate if needed.
About: After getting my family pitbull/boxer 8 years ago, I’ve become extremely confident and comfortable with animals. I absolutely LOVE caring for animals! For a couple years I worked as a pet care technician, so I know all about pet care. Along with caring for my own dog, I’ve also cared for my neighbors cat and family friend’s dogs for years. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine, ensuring companionship, health, and happiness for my furry friend through feeding, walks, playtime, and affectionate moments. I will care for my clients pets like they are my own babies. I’ll give them as much love and attention as they’re willing to receive :)
“We were on vacation for 8 days which CodiBrianne stayed at our home caring for our elderly doggie. She was an excellent sitter as she was in contact with us and her love for our lil guy was so important to us. We came home to a happy dog and Codi took great care of our home?”

“Becki was super responsive and kept us updated with all the pictures during our week away. Arya was happy and well cared for the entire time!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Robinson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Robinson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Robinson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Robinson. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
