During one of my sits for a sweet senior Golden Retriever, I noticed some unusual lumps that her owners hadn't yet seen. I advocated for her and urged them to take her to the vet, where she was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer. A short time later, while her parents had to travel for an essential work trip, I watched her again. Within a couple of days, I could sense a deep shift in her energy—I knew the signs, and I knew she was declining. Though I make it a strict rule to never unnecessarily disrupt a client's trip, I followed my intuition and called them, gently but firmly explaining that they needed to come home ASAP. They arrived the next day, and she peacefully passed away the very next morning. Her parents were profoundly grateful; they couldn't imagine the heartbreak of not being there for her final moments. I bring that same protective vigilance to your aging companions. ​Rescuing Boomer: My home has always been a sanctuary for those who need it. I once rescued a scrawny, struggling young cat named Boomer in a parking lot. She was so incredibly grateful for the food and safety I offered that she kept coming right back to my front door (hence her name, "Boomer" for boomerang). Eventually, I made her an official indoor cat, and she spent the rest of her days as the happiest, most pampered girl. ​The Miracle on the Roadside: My respect for life extends to all of nature's creatures. I once pulled over for an armadillo on the side of the road that had unfortunately been hit by a car. Though she had passed, I noticed her stomach moving. Her pouch was full of live babies. We rescued them, brought them home, and successfully bottle-fed them. ​Every Life Matters: On another occasion, I spotted a tiny squirrel lying motionless on the sidewalk after falling from a tree. I carefully wrapped her in a towel, secured her in a large, comfortable box to give her room, and spent hours calling resources until I connected with a local squirrel sanctuary that took her in. About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life. I have been with inside dogs to outside. No size scares me and have dealt with dogs that have required full 24/7 care with timed medications. I have plenty of time to work around your schedule! I’d love to pick up some walks daily. I love closing my Apple Watch rings😁 so daily walks are a must for me. Even better with a doggy! I don’t prefer to do over nights or in my home since I don’t have the friendliest environment for a dog. However, I would love taking them on walks.

About: I have had pets for as long as I can remember and over the years I have pet sat and house sat for many people. I am an early to rise and a late to bed. Mornings and evenings are the easiest for me to work into my regular schedule, but with enough notice I will try to adjust my regular schedule. Keeping pets in their own homes and with their usual routine is very important to me. It helps to keep them comfortable while their human is away. If there is no fenced in backyard going for long walks is my favorite. If you do not have a leash I have plenty I can bring since I have 3 dogs in my own home .

About: l've had over 10 dogs throughout my life and I currently have 4 (2 at each of my parents houses). I also have a cat and I love them all so much! I've always been an avid animal lover and would love to meet your pets and help take care of them! I can board them at my home if they are dog and cat friendly and I can also come to your home to care for them! I am at home full time and am currently taking a gap between school so 1 am fully capable of giving your pet the care and love it needs 24/7 while you are away! I live in a large neighborhood with sidewalks and lots of grass which is great for walking your pup and I have a large backyard for your animals to play in!! I am able to do full day care all days! I currently am taking a break from work and schooling so I can take care of you dog or cat at any time any day of the week! I can walk you pup, do drop in visits, overnight care, or anything needed! (my profile says my house has 4 dogs but the house I board any pets at only has 2! my other two dogs live with my mom!) I have no preference between boarding and sitting! I live in a private residential home with lots of room for your pet to play and/or relax! I have a large, fenced yard for them to play in as well. I have two dogs and a cat, all of which are very friendly! My two dogs are large dogs, (Golden Retriever and Bernese Mountain Dog) so if your pet is afraid of large dogs and/or doesn't like high energy dogs, they may not enjoy their stay! They are very sweet and don't fight with other dogs unless provoked and my Bernese is very skittish. Some animals could get overwhelmed from their high energy behavior. They calm down fairly quickly (10-20 minutes) then become very relaxed and lazy dogs. My cat is very sweet and loves dogs as well. She was raised by a Collie and loves to play with dogs if they let her. Your pet can sleep in a kennel if that's preferred but I'm also perfectly fine with them sleeping and staying around the house at all times if you prefer that as well!
