“We hired Morgan to house sit and care for our Yuki over the weekend, and she did an amazing job. This was actually the second time we’ve trusted her, and once again she exceeded our expectations. She is reliable, attentive, and clearly cares deeply about the pets she looks after. Our dog was happy, well cared for, and everything at home was just as we left it. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Morgan was there. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter—we will definitely continue to book her in the future!”

“Mira did such a great job caring for our pups in our home while we were out of town! She sent picture updates and let us know how they were doing the whole time! When we arrived home everything was clean and perfectly in order. She’s a great addition to any family!! We will definitely use Mira again!”

About: Hello I have been caring for family dogs since I was 15 between walks, training, and dog sitting. My goal is to make sure your dog is will taken care of and happy. My schedule is very open currently so until that changes I am more than capable of caring for fur babies. So until that changes here we go! I have a fenced yard and 3 dogs from a Yorkie Siberian Husky and Ratterrior. We let them out every 2 hrs of the day and keep them on a good food basis. Making sure they are comfortable and protected in the environment they are in. Which is my goal in a client's home making sure the dogs feel safe around me and comfortable.
About: Over 10 years of experience has taught me the ins and outs of keeping your furry friend happy and healthy. I can ensure a stress-free experience for both you and your pet! My pets are a cherished part of my daily and weekly routine! Each morning starts with a walk or playtime session, keeping them happy and energized. Throughout the day, I sprinkle in quick check-ins to ensure they have fresh water, a clean litter box (if applicable), and maybe even a quick cuddle session. Evenings often involve another walk or playtime, followed by feeding and quality bonding time. Weekends can be filled with longer adventures like hikes or trips to the dog park. Your pet's comfort is my top priority! When caring for your furry friend in their own home, I seamlessly integrate into their daily routine. Mornings begin with fresh food, water refills, and a walk or playtime session to keep them energized. Throughout the day, I provide potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles (of course!), ensuring they feel loved and secure. Evenings involve another walk or playtime, followed by feeding and quality bonding time. This consistent schedule minimizes stress for your pet while you're away.
“Raylin did an outstanding job caring for our pups while I was out of town. Jaxon & Maggie seemed happy & content when I returned home after 5 days. I would highly recommend Raylin!”

“Alyssa is phenomenal! Truly just a sweet person who really cares for animals! We were super nervous about leaving our puppy for the first time but she eased our nerves and sent so many detailed updates! I would highly recommend to anyone!”

“Kimberly was great!! We loved her but most importantly, Daisy loved her. We will be booking with her when we are in the area again. She is prompt and dependable- 5 stars all the way!”

About: Retired from law enforcement and have the time to spend with your pets! I have had dogs my whole life, I’ve had cats too but it has been a while. I love all animals and will treat yours like they are my own. I do not have a full time job other than being a wife and mom to two teens. I can assist you with your pet when you can’t! Whether is a quick walk or check in on your animal, I can take care of it. I can check on your house, collect your mail etc. while you are an away. I will take care of your home and pets as if they were my own. Whatever you need to be taken care of to make your absence easier on you and your pet.
“Gabrielle provides excellent care for my 3 dogs and goes way above and beyond what most dog sitters do. She is the ultimate 5 star in pet care: top notch attention, loving, thorough, caring and genuinely loves her 4 legged clients. I can’t recommend her highly enough. Peace of mind and lots of photos and videos of my doggos is guaranteed when I book Gabrielle. We are extremely fortunate to have her in the Fairhope area!”

“Abigail did an excellent job staying at my house and taking care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we went out of town. She is very trustworthy and I really appreciated the daily photos!! I will call Abby next time for sure. Thanks Abby!!”

About: I’ve had a dog for as long as I can remember and have trained my last 3 dogs (a mutt, a lab/pit mix, and a husky mix) myself. Daily walks and trips to the dog park are a regular occurrence, and we spend hours playing fetch at the parks. I also take them on frequent runs. I currently only have the husky mix as the others passed. I’m available just about any time, any day of the week. I’m comfortable with all dog sizes and breeds and am happy to accommodate you and your precious pup! I’m also very comfortable with cats and have my own. I have a full-time job and work fully remotely. I dedicate at least 3 hours a day to playing with my dog and working on training. I also spend the weekends going on hikes and longer expeditions with her. Exercise is crucial for both dogs and cats. I make sure my cat has play toys so I’m able to engage with her and I take my dog to parks and on runs frequently to help let her energy out. I also do puzzles to keep her mentally stimulated.
“We are all happy us the pet parents and our fur babies! Olivia was just what we were looking for and more I hope she posted the pictures because they say it all you can see just how happy the babies are. Can't wait for our next get away and they can't wait to see their new best friend....”
“Bo was an exceptional sitter!! I would give her more stars if I could. I have an extremely high maintenance senior cat who requires medication, a special diet (like preparing a buffet twice a day) and a list of other instructions. Bo took care of all of her needs. She gave me several updates per day and also sent a bunch of photos - great communication. Bo cared for my little diva like she was her own!”

“Claire was fantastic with Delta. She was very prompt in answering any questions, and followed all of the instructions that were asked of her. I will gladly use her again to watch Delta. Thank you Claire!”

About: I am a cat person through and through. I have 4 cats of my own - 2 British shorthairs and 2 rescues. I make sure to give them as much stimulation and play as possible and I’ll treat your cats as if they were my own. I know how hard it can be to find sitters who prioritize cats, and too often kitty care is an afterthought. But not for me! I’ll give your babies the attention and playtime they deserve. Though I am most passionate about cats, I will make sure all the animals in your home are fully taken care of and happy while you’re away. I have experience administering medication, caring for kittens and senior cats, as well as dogs, fish, reptiles, and birds. I work as a freelance media buyer and have full control of my remote schedule. My husband and I used to travel a lot for work, and I really struggled to find quality care for my own 4 cats when we went away. As someone who has dealt firsthand with some not-so-great cat sitters, I really know what it takes to give pet owners peace of mind while away from home. My schedule is completely moldable to your needs. If caring for pets in your home is not an option, I have a spare bedroom with a window and a cat tree, window perch and toys that I have reserved for fostering cats. While I prefer to care for animals in your own home, I will happily take them in if it would be beneficial for your situation.
“Caroline was very sweet with our babies! She was communicative and was able to balance her job and caring for our animals well! We were worried getting back on time because of flight delays but she made us feel at ease that she would ensure our babies were taken care of! She’s the first person I’ve hired to care for our pets that stripped the bed, washed the sheets and towels and remade the bed, so a huge plus getting back from a work trip! Would def hire again!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Belforest
I can’t recommend Debra enough! She stayed overnight with our dogs for several nights, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. From the very beginning, her communication was wonderful. She made scheduling easy, kept us updated throughout our trip, and sent plenty of photos and messages so we always knew our dogs were happy and well cared for. She went above and beyond by taking them on lots of walks, spending so much time playing with them, and giving them all the love and attention they needed. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were not only being cared for but were genuinely having a great time while we were away. We’re so grateful for everything Debra did and will absolutely be booking with her again. If you’re looking for someone who is kind, reliable, communicative, and truly cares about your pets, I highly recommend Debra!

Jaclyn is a life saver! Not only did she agree to a last minute booking, she went above and beyond to ensure our babies were well taken care of! They were all comfortable with her, which put our minds at ease, and we absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for help with their babies!
I live in the Bellaton community in Daphne. If you are needing a pet sitter and don't want to worry about a thing.... Olivia is wonderful! We have used her services twice now and have been so pleased with the condition of our pets when coming home. Thank you Olivia

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Belforest walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Belforest maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Belforest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belforest. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
