My mother is a veterinarian so I am very familiar with various breeds of dogs, different temperaments, medications, etc. Our house has a large fenced in yard for your dog to play around in and explore. I would love to provide a safe, and fun experience for your dog! I am willing to provide a calm experience for the more timid dogs and an active lifestyle for those who need a walk each day! I have a passion for working with senior pets and experience working with pets that have conditions such as hip dysplasia, epilepsy, deafness, blindness, urinary issues, and more. I'm patient with animals that have anxiety and am comfortable administering medications. I have experience caring for variety of animals with different personalities and I hope to be your pet's new best friend! I work part time while I'm finishing my bachelor's degree, so I am flexible am able to adapt to fit into you and your pet's schedule! I am currently unable to offer boarding in my home, but I am able to accept bookings in your home. I will send periodic updates and am able to do other small chores, such as grabbing the mail or taking garbage out, as a part of my visit. Safety is important to me and I will always report any issues ASAP.

Since I work from home, I can give your pups plenty of attention and take them out for bathroom breaks throughout the day. Most days, I take the dogs for a walk at least once or twice, depending on the weather. On weekends, my girl, Lenny, and I love hitting up the nearby dog park to let off some steam and play with other neighborhood pups. I live in a cozy single-family home with my sweet girl, Lenny, an 8-year-old dachshund mix. Our backyard is fully fenced with a sturdy, recently built wooden fence, giving pups a safe space to run, play, and take bathroom breaks. While Lenny enjoys roaming freely when I’m away, I’m happy to adjust to whatever setup makes you and your pup most comfortable. I also have built-in dog gates on hand, perfect for managing those moments when things get a little extra playful! Additionally, I’m experienced with administering medications and providing any special care your pup may need during their stay.

About: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am a huge animal lover and have grown up/cared for dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with mostly Norwegian Elkhounds but had one Carin terrier find his way to my family. Currently I have 1 Norwegian Elkhound named Bear who is about 6 years old and my best friend. My boyfriend and I recently adopted 2 cats from the animal Humane Society named Jack and Lucas. I have been pet sitting since high school and have taken care of cats, dogs, rabbit, fish and hamsters. When I am not with animals I can be found hiking, reading, knitting or playing video games. I am currently making my way through the Nancy Drew series and hoping to finish a scarf by Christmas time. I try to stay active and like taking my dog on long walks especially in the summer. I am currently working full time as an Ophthalmic Technician but working on reducing my hours as I try and go back to school. Even while working full time make it a priority to take care of my pets and hopefully yours soon! My pets currently run the home. They have free reign of the entire house and nap, eat and sometimes even potty where ever they like.
