“Alison was wonderful! We met ahead of time so she could meet my pups and learn how to navigate using Mickey’s wheelchair prior to her first drop-in visit with them. Alison sent plenty of pictures and kept me updated during her visits, which was great. My pups enjoyed their walks and cuddles with her!”

About: 11+ years of personal experience with cats and dogs and also grew up with both cats and dogs in home. Now live in a super comfortable house in Lake Oswego with 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 kids under five. I work full time from home so am flexible with when I can visit or board a pet. Plenty of time to walk your animal or spend time with them while we hang inside. I have 2 large patios for lounging and live on a quiet street, which is perfect for taking a long walk. Love spending time and cuddling with animals.

“I hired Justin to care for both my kitties while I was gone for a weekend. One of my girls needs medication 2 x daily. Justin did an amazing job taking care of both cats!! In fact, one who is extremely shy and skittish was all over Justin!😻 And my sick kitty was happy and healthy when I returned. He’s s cat whisperer!!!😺😺 I had many photos of the cats on his visits to my house, and an ongoing report on the details of the care they received. Thank you Justin for putting my mind and soul at ease!! You did an outstanding job!!☺️”

“Great with the pups! Prompt and excellent communication. Also went above and beyond by bringing in our many packages that were delivered while we were away. : )”

“Charlie is very kind and was super attentive to my cats and their needs! You can automatically tell he really loves animals and wants to give them the best care possible. He will be my go-to cat sitter from here on out! :)”

“Just so wonderful. I already left a review but I wanted to leave another one so I could give more information. I came home about 15 minutes before when I had planned for Leah to show up because I forgot some thing and I saw that my little dogs dewclaw must have gotten stuck on something because it was bleeding. Sure enough Leah came right through the door as expected, all smiles. She made me feel so much calmer about the injury and even had materials in her bag that I needed to wrap my pup’s claw. She is truly a gift to dogs and people everywhere.”

“Lucinda was great! She checked in on my cat Buster when I was out of town. He totally bonded with her and she gave him lots of love. The pictures and descriptions of their time together was wonderful. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Sydney is excellent. She was very reliable and loving to my kitty. She also helped with cleaning up messes he made and being willing to help out with extras we needed while gone. Highly recommend.”

“Oh my gosh Rachel is so sweet and cool. She came in ready to take notes and bonded so well with my two shy guys. She really is a quality person and I’d recommend her to anyone and everyone. She was timely, thorough, accommodating, and takes the cutest photos while pet sitting. Five stars, no notes! Thanks again Rachel!”

“We were so grateful that Christa was able to help us out for a last minute day trip! As always, she was easy to communicate with and spent quality time with our pups. I will always recommend her!”

“Charlie did an excellent job of taking care of our Husky, Bulleit. She was right on time, and he was very comfortable with her. I asked her to bring along her service dog (who is such a cutie!) and Bulleit loved the company. Thank you, Charlie!”

“This was my first time using Rover and a dog sitter, so I was a little nervous at first — but Kathy immediately put me at ease! She was warm, professional, and clearly experienced with dogs. My pups were relaxed and enjoyed their time with her. I appreciated the updates and photos she sent, which really helped me relax while I was away. I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience — thank you, Kathy!”

About: I watch one animal at a time and am selective to house trained dogs that are used to a feeding/bathroom schedule. I have experience watching big dogs and small dogs as well as dogs with reactivities. I get along with animals well and I don’t have any pets of my own. I work online for a state related nonprofit as my day job and am available to give attention to one dog at a time throughout the day as a sitter or for boarding. I’m fairly active individually and happy to walk/run with your dog if that is something you would like them to do. I’m also very happy keeping company with more chill/older dogs too. For pet sitting I will work with the routine and needs of your pet including any special health considerations or needs. I’ll ask for you to share what your dog is trained to do and details like how you use treats, etc.

About: I enjoy connecting to animals not just watching them as they need TLC daily to know they’re loved and wanted. I do this by softly petting their fur or engaging in light indoor playfulness or hugging them while they lay there, so they feel the love:) In past I owned two dogs, 11y/o (he was 12 weeks old when we had him) and the other 8. Red heeler pittie mix and border collie mix. A few cats and even gerbils. I’m very attuned to their needs and feel them out by allowing them to adjust to me and read their energy to know how to engage. At this time I’m available 7 days a week open availability so if you’re planning to be away for a while I’d be happy to keep your fur babies company, with lots of affection and attention! I only care for pets outside my home however I have been a pet owner one was a Border collie mix and the other a heeler pittie. I owned a few cats and gerbils as well, in past. I’m very in tune if a pet needs attention for example with ears being cleaned or noticing more itching, which I can provide details as well of anything new noticed if you’d like.

“Consistent communication, mishap on my part and she worked around it to make sure my boy was taken care of. Always cheerful and happy to come out check up on chief. 10/10 will request again.”

About: Friends and family chose me to pet sit because they know the care and attention to detail I’ll give their beloved pets. I have experience walking reactive and non-reactive dogs of all sizes. I’ll treat your fury family like my own. I work full time, 8 to 5-ish, M-F in the Tualatin area. Weekends I am in SE PDX. I’m available for before/after work and weekend visits/walks. My home is not currently set up for visits, but I’ll be happy to drive to yours. I’ll be happy to follow whatever instructions you have and I walk with a safety belt that includes noise maker, compressed air, air horn, and humane mace.

About: I am an experienced cat/dog parent and am familiar with the world of anxious pets. I know how particular some animals can be, and am always paying attention to my beast's needs. As a college student on summer break, I can devote myself completely to pet care. I sit every day of the week all the time. I walk, feed, play with, and otherwise make sure your animals are getting what they need. I'm happy to adapt to exactly what your pet is comfortable with or provide them with a special treat.

Heather P.
“For over 13 years, Heather was the most loving and attentive dog mom to our two dogs, Banksy and Kora. From the moment they came into our lives, she treated them with nothing short of unconditional love, care, and patience. Whether it was preparing their food just the way they liked it, taking them on long walks no matter the weather, or simply sitting with them when they were scared or sick, Heather always put their needs first. She has a natural ability to connect with animals… understanding their emotions, energy, and unspoken needs. Banksy and Kora always felt safe, calm, and incredibly loved in her care, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help raise them alongside me. Heather would be an incredible pet sitter or dog walker for anyone lucky enough to book her. She’s reliable, nurturing, and treats every animal like family. I wholeheartedly recommend her through Rover… your pets will be in the best hands.”

“Isa is a very reliable and independent person. She is able to follow instructions and maintain responsibilities that would make her a reliable pettsitter. She also is very playful and funny, which I think would make her a great match to care for high energy pets.”
Riverwood pet parents share their Rover experiences
Andi went above and beyond in caring for our kitties. When they got sick while we were away, she worked in tandem with the vet tech to make sure they had the medicine and care they needed. We got thorough updates until the issue was resolved. Our cats trust Andi and love to snuggle and play with her, even our shy kitty loves her!

Chloe was outstanding! She far exceeded our expectations in every way. We received great pictures and updates throughout our trip, which put us at ease. The best part? Coming home. Our pets were so calm and relaxed. After a week away they greeted us at the door just like normal. Proof in how well Chloe took care of them while we were away. What a gift Chloe's service was!

I couldn’t be happier with the care my elderly cats received! Ciara was absolutely wonderful—her communication was excellent, and she kept me informed every step of the way. She sent regular updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she truly cared for my pets and took the time to understand their specific needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, thoughtful, and reliable pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!

We have left our older pup with Terrall when we travel for over 3 years now, typically for a week or two at a time several times a year. He is always excited to see Terrall, the other pups, and have a yard to play in. Terrall is incredibly conscientious of all his meds, and his constantly changing protocols around exercise for his health. Terrall takes fantastic care of him!
