About: Since I’ve been old enough to remember, I’ve been around animals. I have cared for dogs and cats of all kinds for years. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets while they were out of town or busy. I can do a multitude of tasks from bathing to walking! I work 7-3 daily, which leaves me plenty of time each day to play with your pets! I love walking- I even walk my dog two miles every morning! There is always time in my schedule to play with pups! I live in Milwaukie so I can easily access most of the Portland area! While caring for your pet, I will ensure I keep a close eye on them while they are outside. About: Having grown up on a 20 acre farm for most of my life, I have cared for all shapes and sizes of animals - from horses to snakes, and everything in between! When I moved into an apartment for college, I missed the "dog energy" in our household and set to volunteering hundreds of hours at the Humane Society, which also included basic training skills and walking the most aggressive 100+lb leash pullers. This later evolved into working at a veterinary clinic where I was trained to monitor recovering animals and administer medications safely and with as little stress as possible through Fear Free certification. Animal body language is my second language! I love the outdoors as much as the indoors, and am more than happy to accommodate medical needs. ♡ If you would like extras taken care of during your pets stay or our visit, such as bathing, grooming, nail trims, or a run, just let me know! My dog, Leo, and I are constantly going on hikes and we are more than happy to tucker your pups out with a day trip, just reach out for rates. I currently work as a Braille Librarian for the state and used to teach Low Vision/Blind learners, and I am also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), so I have a soft spot for dogs that may be Deaf, Blind, or DeafBlind. To top it all off, I am working on weaseling my way into Guide Dog puppy raising, and all the training tips that come along with that. ( : I commute to Salem Wednesday and Friday, which means my schedule during those days is usually pretty limited to anything after 430pm. Otherwise, my weekends are typically completely free and ready to be filled with whatever your fur babies need! Using the Fear Free method, I work with a pet's body language to determine what will work best in the current situation, and when methods may be effective versus stressful. I am ready to go at your pet's pace with whatever they may need, and clearly communicate the process along the way.

She was immediately drawn to him during our meet-n-greet and seemed perfectly comfortable in his care for the 5 days we were away. He communicated regularly, sharing updates as he walked, fed, pet, played and socialized her with his broader pack of friendly pup-clients. He was also super patient and accommodating of her dietary, medical and behavioral quirks. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good soul to entrust their furry family with.”
