It turned out Valentine's day was one of those days. My husband and I were hiking Mt Wilson far from cell signal except for the occasional partial message. Angel was more wobbly and unsteady than usual, she had accidents in the house, didn't want to take her meds. Marissa went above and beyond cleaning up after Angel, was deeply concerned for our girl, and working out contingency plans to make sure she got the missing meds and to account for any delay to our hike. She sent us detailed messages that we could get once we reached the peak and then again once we reached base. She makes it possible for us to support our senior gal with visits evey few hrs and we can still get out of the house now and again.
