Plus, I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities! I’m currently a college student half the day so I can have fun with your furry friends when you need me, I’m available on the weekends and most mornings on the weekdays I have a fence yard so your dog/dogs can play outside and for cats I have two cats, so friendly, I have toys for them too
“Jori was a great dog sitter for our pup. She was responsive and sent updates of our dog playing with hers. I would highly recommend her to care for your dogs and will reach out again when we need our dog to be watched.”

“She was able to take on my last minute request , thankfully because she works from home. I really appreciate the flexibility for my literal last minute request. We appreciate her working around our late night pick up. She was nice enough to communicate and coordinate with me around her kid’s evening activities, which I appreciate a lot given the fact that I ended up being late for my original pick up time.”

“Steve is an excellent dog sitter, would highly recommend. He’s well versed in dog caretaking and went above and beyond keeping us updated throughout the day. Drop off and pick up was seamless, our dog was so happy at the end of the day. Zero stress! Absolutely will ask Steve to dog sit again!”

“We are grateful that we have been able to depend on Allison to help with caring for our pup while we work and when we are out of town. She is very flexible when our travel times have had to change. We have a pandemic rescue that has bouts of anxiety. We appreciate that she is patient and loving with him and understands his behavior. We highly recommend her as a sitter.”

About: Hi, I'm Katelyn! 🐾 As a lifelong animal lover and experienced caregiver, I know that your pets aren't just animals—they are cherished members of your family. My goal is to give you total peace of mind while you're away by providing the exact same love, attention, and structured care that you do. Whether your dog needs a high-energy walk around the neighborhood, your cat prefers quiet companionship, or your furry friend thrives on a strict feeding and routine schedule, I’ve got you covered. I pride myself on being reliable, highly communicative, and attentive to every detail of your pet's needs. I can't wait to meet your fur babies! I’m a stay at home mom and have plenty of time to make sure your pet has regular potty and play breaks and plenty of love. We have a fenced back yard and plenty of room for your fur baby to run around. I can also take your pet for walks if requested.

“Did a trial run for our Yorkie, Max, with Amy today and I think he had a good time. He didn't look stressed coming home. We will definitely bring Max back for future boarding and day care. Thank you Amy for taking care of Max.”

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I was relied on to take care of them with feeding them, walking, bathing them and training them. Etc. I’m currently not working but I am a stay at home mom , So I’m able to have time to play with pets and make sure to do anything necessary to help out, I’m able to house sit, boarding, and foster. We do have a small male dog in the house that we can keep separate from the dogs/cats. I always check fence gates before letting a dog outside. Always lock the doors, and make sure I don't step outside without the key incase I get locked out. Providing pets with food and fresh water. Administering medication to pets according to the instructions provided by pet owners. Cleaning out litter boxes and crates. We do prefer the animal to have a crate we can put them in or we can provide one too.
“Ana is absolutely phenomenal! Vaylah definitely enjoyed her time cause she was wiped out when I picked her up! Ana sent tons of photos and videos during the day too which was so nice!! Highly recommend!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Riverdale Park
Jori was AMAZING! When I dropped Enzo off he felt right at home. Her house is fully equipped for dogs. She was so sweet and even sent me off with a coffee delicious coffee to go. She kept me updated all day and sent me pictures. When I picked Enzo up she had him ready to go and offered my kids homemade cookies. I can tell he had a great time because now he keeps going to the front door waiting for me to take him back to her house! I would definitely recommend her and will be happy to bring Enzo back to play at Jori’s house again sometime!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 285 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Riverdale Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Riverdale Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 285 sitters in Riverdale Park, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
