“Susan & Miguel are excellent dog sitters. I regularly get updates and photos. I really appreciate hearing about Maya’s progress socializing with other pups and members of the household. It’s great that Maya is ready to go - all packed up and her harness is on.”

“We have been using daycare and boarding for a few years with Allison. I have been able to drop off before going to the office every morning. Our family relies on her to watch our pup when we need to leave town. We are appreciative that she has been flexible and reliable. We have been happy with her service.”

About: I’ve had dogs as pets since I was a baby. I have two chihuahuas that are 10 and 11 years old. I’ve had them since they were 8 weeks old and they are my babies. They are so spoiled and loved and my whole world. I’m currently taking a break from my full time job. My day depends on what I have scheduled, it’s very fluid and open. I start my day by scooping the cat litter box, letting my dogs outside to potty, taking care of and feeding my beta fish, opening windows and watering plants, and then making meals for my two cats and two dogs. I am at home majority of my day and spend a lot of time with my animals. I walk my two dogs everyday and make them meals. I brush my two cats everyday and give them enrichment activities. I spend the day cuddling with my dogs too. At my clients home, I would follow the directions provided to me as well as using my own discretion when necessary to provide the ultimate care. Your pets will be treated and loved like they are my own.
About: What makes me different is my hands on experience with animals of all ages and temperaments from playful puppies to wise senior pets. Whether it’s training young pets in basic commands, providing gentle senior care, or simply giving your furry friend a safe and loving environment, I tailor my approach to meet their needs. Plus, I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priorities! I’m currently a college student half the day so I can have fun with your furry friends when you need me, I’m available on the weekends and most mornings on the weekdays I have a fence yard so your dog/dogs can play outside and for cats I have two cats, so friendly, I have toys for them too
“Ana is amazing! She is great with keeping me updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. My dog now jumps out of the car and runs to Ana when we arrive she gets so excited. I highly recommend Ana :)”

About: I’ve always had pets of my own all different breeds and sizes. I’ve taken care of many of my clients pets from senior homes when needed. I walk, feed, bathe, play and love pets as my own. I currently work part time so I have a lot of availability I also only live about 5 minutes from my job so it’s never an issue. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I follow each pet’s regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and any special instructions provided by the owner. I make sure pets always have fresh water, plenty of attention, exercise, and a clean environment. I closely monitor their behavior and well-being to ensure they are comfortable and stress-free while their family is away. I also provide lots of affection and companionship, treating every pet with the same care, patience, and love that I give my own pets. Most importantly, I carefully follow every detail and direction requested by the owner so their pet receives personalized care tailored to their needs.

“My elderly dog Charlie spent the day with Steven and had a wonderful time. Steven took excellent care of Charlie, gave him treats, and made sure all of his needs were met. It gave me great peace of mind knowing my dog was in kind and caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“Jasmine had a daytime stay with Rochelle and her lovely family. I was so happy to see how much her children enjoyed having Jasmine. They were all calling her a princess and asking when she could come back. I would highly recommend this sweet sitter ☺️🐾🐾”

“It was the first time using this service both Gerald and Debbie were so welcoming! Chloe was a first time visitor and she made herself right at home. We are looking forward to another visit soon. If we could give a ten star rating we would!!! A huge hug to Baloo for being such a gentle giant with Chloe, I hope the two of them become besties over time!!!”

“Stephanie and her family were there for us when loud work in the neighborhood had us looking for a distraction for our pup. He had a great time in their home for the day and rested well when he got home. Her hospitality keeps us coming back.”

“My girl Luna loves other dogs but is nervous around new people. Ronald was very patient with her, and his two dogs got along well with Luna. She was a happy and healthy dog when I picked her up. He also sent pictures of Luna throughout the day, and you can tell she enjoyed herself. Ronald has a big, fenced back yard for dogs to play. Definitely recommend!”

“Jori was a great dog sitter for our pup. She was responsive and sent updates of our dog playing with hers. I would highly recommend her to care for your dogs and will reach out again when we need our dog to be watched.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 367 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Westley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Westley commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
