About: I take care of pets for family when they need it and have experience caring for older pets, puppies, and those with special care instructions. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can take time to walk dogs during the day. I’m most available during the weekend and after 5 pm for over night boarding, but can potentially accommodate other schedules. I have no pets, so my home is perfect for less friendly pets. Crates will need to provided if they are needed for your pet, but I’m willing to keep up with their routine.

The owners are very forthcoming with information before taking your animals to board there. It was worth the 40 minute drive. About: I've watched dogs and cats with all different personalities and needs (i.e. blind, diabetic, anxious, etc.). I believe in understanding a pet's needs from the perspective of the pet and responding with compassion. I work full time, but can usually work from home if needed. I will talk with you before we commit to pet sitting to ensure my schedule works for your needs (if that's getting off early, working from home every day during the time of the sitting, going home over lunch for a walk, etc). I have no fur babies (or kids) of my own, so your babies will get my undivided attention and I will shower them with all the love I wish I could give to my own fur baby if I had one. (Know I recognize that love looks different for different critters - for some it may mean keeping a respectful distance!)

“Shannon was wonderful! Her home is a perfect dog palace - very dog friendly with lots of room and a great, fenced backyard! She has nice large areas indoors to be able to separate them as needed. She was super accommodating in setting up a meet n greet prior to Gemma's stay. I think it's always nice to let dogs meet and sniff things out before just dropping them off at a strangers home! Gemma is slow to warm up to other dogs and Shannon allowed her space to do that, which I greatly appreciate. Her own two dogs are very friendly and well behaved - good energy to have when your dog might be nervous in a new place. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back. Thanks so much, Shannon!!”
