“Jorden was great asset to us by agreeing to drop in on our dogs at the very last minute of a holiday weekend. Our dogs are mixed rescues and very odd - but Jorden showed up and even stayed a bit longer than requested to see if the dogs would potty, even though they decided not to- Jorden tried and that speaks volumes to us. We were already comfortable with Jorden around our pets and home from all the previous feedback on Rover. Jorden gets accurate reviews and with our experience would say never hesitate to book Jorden as your sitter.”

“Devon has been great! She's gone out of her way to work with us and our dog, between coming out multiple times for meet and greets and different scenarios, and just overall making sure he's comfortable with her. I would highly recommend Devon and am so happy we found her.”

“Amanda is a thoughtful and capable pet sitter. Also helped with our mail and feeding my wild critters that visit the yard, too. Highly recommend. Very trustworthy in our home.”

“Margaret & Dawson were great and took care of our pets like they were their own. Very trustworthy, dependable and communicative. They sent us pictures and videos of the pets with each visit. We recommend booking with them and we will book with them again in the future!”

“Amie was a rockstar! She was very thorough and asked appropriate questions to ensure the best possible care for my cat. She is knowledgeable, has excellent communication, and provided detailed updates. She was incredibly kind and patient with my anxious kitty, and I am so grateful to her!”

“Emily was wonderful! She came over for a meet and greet before taking care of our three cats. I appreciated her taking the time to do that. She was extremely thorough and very communicative which I also appreciate it. She took great care of the cats and my house! She really went above and beyond. I appreciate her and definitely recommend hiring her.”

“Colin is the best with Remi! He takes the time to walk and feed him and even do tricks with him for treats during his weekly visit. All the communication and pictures Colin shares are the best and I always know Remi is well taken care of! Colin is and will remain our go to sitter in the area!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful, kind, reliable, and very responsive. She was available on short notice, which was a huge help for us. She took great care of not only our cat, Nuggets, but also our 4 chickens! We felt completely at ease knowing our babies were in such good hands. We were so happy with her care that we have already hired her again for our next vacation. Highly recommend!”

About: Owned and taken care of dogs and cats since I was young. Can’t remember a time without having pets! Currently own two crazy pups and two pretty kitties, and can’t wait to meet yours. Have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and everything in between. I am a full time firefighter/EMT, so I only work two 24hr shifts a week, and the rest of the time I get to play with yours, and my own animals! Love to hike or be outdoors with as many pets as possible! If they’re happy, I’m happy! I will follow all rules set for your pet, and be sure to keep their safety at the top of the list! As a pet owner, I can’t imagine something happening to my own animals, and I would never want to let anything happen to yours!
About: I’ve had dogs all my life and my philosophy is “the bigger, the better!” I have experience caring for big, medium and small dogs, cats, turtles, and other pets. And I give every animal I meet a personalized nickname! I’m currently working 40 hours a week. I leave around 7:30AM for work and get back around 4PM. With my current schedule, I could do weekend pet care or pet care for those who don’t need as much attention during the day (ie. don’t need to go outside to use the bathroom). To keep your pets safe in your home, I will follow all instructions regarding feeding, medication and routines to the letter! I also have a dog at my family home and a cat in my own apartment, so I am very vigilant about keeping doors closed and locked so no pets escape. I am also down to send update photos and messages if wanted!!
“Nadine did an amazing job with our cat. Lots of playtime and pets when she stopped by for an evening drop-in. She kindly sent videos and pictures too! We hope to use Nadine again in the future!”

About: I have had a passion for taking care of animals since a young age. I have experience with all types of animals. I worked as a doggy daycare attendant and a veterinary assistant, as well as shelter experience. I'm available for drop in visits and dog walking. I do not have a set schedule at work yet so I will have different availability every week. We do have a backyard which is not fenced in and a porch that I usually block off to let my dogs get outside for some fresh air.
“I highly recommend Kayla G. My dogs are very spoiled and do not really like people who do not live in our house, but they love her. I have asked Kayla back a few times so I could go away on vacation and she was very communicative and took great care of them.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, starting my pet care career in high school at a doggie daycare, and ending up here, with 6 years of professional experience and the same love of animals I’ve had since the beginning. I do have a full time job that prevents me from doing any jobs between the hours of 7am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday. Friday/Saturday I am available beginning at 2pm, and Sunday/Monday I have open availability. I treat all animals the way I would hope someone would take care of my girls when I go on vacation. There’s nothing more important to me than knowing they’re in good hands with someone who will not only stop by and feed them, but spend time with them, maybe cuddle on the couch or just keep them company. I understand that your pets are family, and I will always treat them as such.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rindge. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
