About: I've been around dogs my whole life and have experience caring for all kinds of dogs—big and small, puppies, adults, and seniors. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one comfortable and happy. While I'm not a certified trainer, I have the patience and consistency to reinforce basic commands and good leash manners when requested. Safety is always my top priority, and I'll treat your dog with the same care, attention, and respect I would give my own. I'm dependable, friendly, and committed to providing a positive experience for both you and your pet. Whether your dog loves long walks, needs a slower pace, or just enjoys extra attention and affection, I'll make sure they receive the care they deserve. Right now, I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day, every day, which allows me to accommodate a variety of walking times and last-minute requests. Once the school year begins, I'll be substitute teaching in the local school district. My availability will become a bit less flexible from day to day, but I'll still be available for dog walks and pet care outside of school hours, on days I'm not substituting, and on weekends. I'll always keep my Rover calendar up to date so you know exactly when I'm available. I understand that every pet has its own routine, personality, and needs, and I do my best to keep them comfortable by following their normal schedule as closely as possible. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or in a client's home, I make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, fresh water, and any specific care instructions provided by their owner. I have an 8-year-old Husky who has been part of our family since he was just 2 months old. He's truly another member of our family, and that's how I believe pets should be treated. For the past two years, we've also cared for a family friend's dog almost every weekend. She requires daily medication, and I make sure she receives each dose exactly as prescribed. That experience has reinforced the importance of consistency, patience, and paying close attention to each pet's individual needs. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away.
About: I have experience raising five dogs from puppyhood from 8 weeks old. I work well engaging dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. I am currently a mom of four large bunting breeds. I have a flexible schedule and can adjust to your needs accordingly. If a client has any special requests, I am generally always able to accommodate. I have a fenced yard with sufficient land for play (about a 1/4 acre). The inside of the house has plenty of room as well the the basement is a designated pet play area.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 12. Family, friends and neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets I currently work full time, but I am able to walk or let your pets out at lunch or after work. I have a flexible schedule. I unfortunately at this time do not have a fenced in yard so I would be unable to watch your pet at my house. I am however able to work with you.
About: I have had the pleasure of taking care of my dog Sokka for five years. He is a loveable high maintenance puggle so I am well prepared for any challenges. I have also owned guinea pigs for years and am open to caring for exotic pets if needed. While I have not had the pleasure of owning my own cat I have cat sit several times before. I used to work at Petco in animal care and at a zoo so I am very knowledgeable about pet care needs. I currently work full-time Monday thru Friday but am available weekends and evenings for all your pet care needs. I can be flexible with scheduling as needed. I am willing to follow any wishes of the client regarding how they would prefer their furbabies to be cared for. Whether this means kenneling when gone or free-roaming the home.
About: I was raised with lots of puppies and other animals. I have two fur babies now, Oakley and Remi! I would love to visit your babies and keep them company while you are away from them. I work full time but have a couple days off a week on a rotating schedule. I am willing to travel and make our schedules work together as best as possible. Leaving your pets is very difficult but I would love to be able to help ease your worries! I am responsible and trustworthy. You would not have to worry about the job not getting done.
About: Hi! I’m Landree, and caring for animals has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I started training horses at 10 years old, began working with exotic animals at 16, attended my first professional dog training course in 2021, and completed another in 2022. My goal is to create a place where every dog feels like they’re on vacation while you’re away. I live in St. James, Missouri, on 7 beautiful acres with a secure fenced yard for safe play and plenty of open fields for supervised walks and exercise. Our property also has a large pond. While it isn’t fenced, dogs are never allowed near it without direct supervision, and if you’d rather your pup avoid the pond completely, I’m happy to accommodate that. I work from home, so your dog will receive lots of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Pets are welcome to relax and roam freely in the house while I’m home. If I ever need to step out for errands, they’ll stay safely in a dog-proof room or a crate, depending on what they’re most comfortable with and what you prefer. I also have both stairs and a ramp leading into the house to help accommodate senior dogs and those with mobility needs. For added convenience, I offer transportation to and from your home for boarding clients. I’m currently working toward opening my dream pet resort, where dogs can enjoy a fun, enriching, and safe stay every time they visit. Until then, I’m excited to welcome your furry family member into my home and care for them as if they were my own. Caring for dogs is my full-time job, not a side hobby, so your pet’s care is my top priority throughout the day. My daily routine is built around providing frequent potty breaks, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, and plenty of one-on-one attention. During the summer, we enjoy the cooler parts of the day outside and spend the hottest hours relaxing indoors in the air conditioning before heading back out for more fun in the evening. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to follow your dog’s normal feeding times, medication schedule, exercise needs, and preferred routine. Whether your pup is full of energy and loves to play or prefers a quieter day filled with naps and cuddles, I’ll tailor their stay to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Because pet care is my full-time profession, your dog won’t simply be checked on throughout the day—they’ll receive consistent supervision, personalized care, and the love and attention they deserve. When your pet stays with me, they become part of the family. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and individual needs so I can provide care that’s as close to home as possible. Whether your dog is playful and energetic, shy and reserved, or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’ll adjust their day to keep them happy and comfortable. Dogs receive frequent potty breaks, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, plenty of fresh water, and lots of love and attention throughout the day. They are welcome to relax inside the house with me, and during the hottest parts of the day we cool off indoors in the air conditioning. If I ever need to leave for a short time, dogs are safely housed in a dog-proof room or a crate based on your preference and what your dog is most comfortable with. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special needs. Safety is always my highest priority, and every outdoor activity is supervised to ensure your dog has a fun, safe, and stress-free stay.
About: I grew up with many different animals. I also intern-shipped on my school farm where I took care of many large animals. I know how to give medications, I’ve taken care of dogs who had different medicines or they needed doggie diapers. I can handle any energetic pets, I don’t shy away. I am currently working part time but I want to pet sit because it would be a fun way to earn some money and meet new pets. I enjoy interacting with new animals. When taking care of other people’s pets I do whatever will keep their fur babies comfortable, I try to keep them in their routine as best as I can. If pets aren’t allowed in certain areas then they won’t be in them. I will never bring other animals in your home. The whole reason to have me help out is to make sure your pets are happy and comfortable. And to bring yourself less stress about how your pets are being cared for. I also try my best to give updates and pictures just so you can see how your pets are doing while you’re gone.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a young child, my passion for animals encouraged me to pursue a career working with animals. In recent years I have worked animal husbandry caring for domestic pets, exotic big cats, wolves, snakes, birds and more. I am comfortable working with all sizes of dogs and as well as other species. I have 5 years vet tech experience so can help with medical issues and medications as needed. I am fully available except when I’m out of town helping my sick father (usually a week each month). I can check in as frequently or long as you need, but I do have an older 30lb (dog friendly) pup who needs medications twice daily and I am the only one that can provide those to him. If he cannot be with me while providing other pets care then I will need to return to him once morning and evening to ensure he is taken care of. Can stay overnight preferably only one night at a time so I can return to my pets. I have recently moved so no longer have a fenced yard, but have a large home with dog runs on trees in the backyard. I have an easy going 30lb Pomeranian mutt named Teddy. My dog is very easy to get along with other dogs, as I have fostered and watched other animals numerous times in the years of me having him. I watch my brother’s pitbull mix named Hercules on a regular basis as well. I do have cats so would prefer if they were used to them, but have an area of my home doggy gated off so they can feel safe when other pets visit my home.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
