“Elyea will have your pets saying "hell yeah!" We have a people reactive American Bully mix who comes from a background of trauma. She takes a very long time to adjust to new humans and makes boarding (and thus going out of town) very difficult. Elyea was up for the challenge and willing to work with us on adjustment so when we actually got to our time to go out of town, both her and Freya would do well with it. Elyea came over for four meet and greets within a couple of weeks leading up to our travel, and each time, Freya got a bit more comfortable with her. Elyea's animal handling experience shined through, as she understood the intricacies of Freya's needs and didn't just dismiss instruction with a "it's fine, I love dogs," aa many people do. When it came time for us to actually go out of town, everyone got along great and all was well. Patient, caring, and flexible. 💯 Will be booking again.”

About: I grew up on the family farm surrounded by dogs and cats and all kinds of animals - caring for them was part of my life. That lifelong connection led me to volunteer at a local dog and cat shelter where I've gained even more experience with pets of all temperaments and needs. I treat every animal like family and I willl give your pet loving care whether it's for a quick walk or an overnight stay. I have a very flexible schedule so I can fully prioritize pet care. My days naturally revolve around the animals I am caring for and I enjoy creating routine that suits their needs. About: I had a dog for 10 years, helping with training like sit and shake, all the way to helping my dog as a senior. I frequently volunteer on KC Pet Project animal shelter where I have given dogs of all sizes dog day outs! I know how to handle a very excited pup all the way to a mellowed out dog! I am very patient with all animals and love giving them the attention that they need. While my own dog was going through cancer in his final months I took him to all his vet appointments, kept on top of all his medicine and physical care. I am currently a college student at the University of Kansas. My class schedule allows me to visit/walk your furry friends starting at 10:30 in the morning all the way to the late hours of the night! Helping your pet will allow me and your pup to get the exercise and fresh air that we both need. With my class schedule I can ensure your pet will walk in the morning before it becomes too hot and drop in any time of the day. I will make it a priority to visit your pet 3-5 times a day. Providing them with walks, playtime, snuggles and food. I will ensure safety for your pet by taking them out regularly, making sure their water bowl is replenished and hopefully keeping them a happy dog while the client is away! If your pet is a senior dog I have experience with administering oral pills for your pup, applying cream, eye drops, or any other kind of medication. If you pet is a pup I can provide safety from other dogs to reduce the risk of harm to your pup and the other pooch.

My 3 dogs are shy and slow to accept new people but within just a couple of days, they were following Hailie all over the house. I was away for 3 weeks and she sent several photos which helped alleviate my anxiety over leaving them. I highly recommend Hailie and will definitely ask her to take care of my dogs the next time I need a pet sitter.”

Shanelle is the first person who we have ever had housesit with our pets. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. We have had her stay 2 or 3 times, and one time for over a week. She is wonderful! She is the sweetest, kindest person, and really seems to care about our home and our pets. Her fiance helps her from time to time and he is also very nice and reliable. Besides doing everything that was expected, she also made sure our newly planted grass was watered every day, and took our 9 month old puppy to her own home for a playdate with her own dogs. Our house was clean and in perfect order when we got home. We can't thank Shanelle enough for such a great experience, and we highly recommend her! We will have her stay again, for sure!”

About: Animals have always had an extremely special place in my heart. Ever since I was a kid I’ve helped care for my family’s own pets: feeding them, caring for their health, giving baths, taking them outside and on walks, and pretty much anything else having a pet entails. I also am in the process of beginning volunteering with the cats and dogs at Lawrence Humane Society! I am a full-time student, but I am available whenever I am not busy with classes. I also have a few volunteering shifts throughout each week that I need to work around, and a job (that I will be done with next month). About: I’ve been dog sitting everyone’s pets in my neighborhood since I was 10. I love to be around any kind of dog! I’m always active I’m currently only doing rover so I have plenty of availability and time to make sure your dog is my top priority all the time! About: I'm especially good with timid animals, and I love making them feel more at ease. I have a soft presence and a lot of patience. I'm good at reading dog language. I'm super responsible, so you can count on me to follow your dog's preferred daily schedule and to send you updates. I work from home, in a neighborhood that's pleasant for dog walking, and we have a fenced backyard. I grew up with small dogs, wanted to be a vet. I've cared for my current doggo for 9 years. I work from home, and my time AWAY from home is flexible. I can definitely be here as your dog is getting used to our home. About your dog's experience in our home: My home office is on the main floor, and I'm aware of all activity in my small-ish house. Your dog can rest on the sofa, futon, rugs, or the big dog bed--or in a kennel if they prefer. I have a fenced yard with room to run. Our friendly 10-year-old, 35-pound boxer mutt, Kiri, enjoys playing with small dogs. But she's not at all pushy. :-) About caring for timid animals: I had a deep, deep bond with a very timid cat, and I just have a super soft spot in my heart for them. I had a shy young kiddo. One of my "day jobs" is a coach for introverted people: I help people honor their introversion, including their need for quiet, calm, and solitude. About: I am a canine enrichment coordinator at a boarding facility and I teach basic and intermediate manners training classes. I have a degree in behavior science and I'm hoping to complete my KPA training certification in the near future. Ask about enrichment and basic training add-ons! I work as a full-time enrichment coordinator and dog trainer. As such, I have restricted availability. In general I am free Monday, Tuesday, and Friday evenings and all day on Saturdays. I am available for dog walking, check-in visits, and house sitting. I can also offer enrichment and basic training services as add-ons.
