About: I grew up with 4 dogs and 8 cats on a farm, so I learned how to take care of animals at a very young age. Throughout my 28 years of life, I've been lucky enough to love and take care of several varieties of animals: cats, dogs, horses, bunnies, exotic birds, and fish - many being rescues. My dream has always been to work in a Veterinarian office, which I accomplished and obtained so many skills just within a 2 year span at Veterinary Specialists of BHM. It would be an honor to have the opportunity to take care of your pets in a time of need. It is truly my passion! About: Growing up we always had dogs in our family. My Experience in pet care is from having my own pets and caring for friends and families. I love animals and have over a decade of experience in caring for dogs, cats, horses, mules, donkey's and pigs. Now I just have my two dogs but the are like our family. I have 5 years experience caring for elderly dog (my own) that needed special care and medications. I am currently not working any other jobs at this time and will have plenty of time to spend with you sweet fur baby or babies. I have a fenced in back yard with 2 of my own fur babies. I love spending time with them in the back yard, going for walks and playing fetch. I live close to a nature trail with a lake and love to take the dogs for walks there. We love that outside time. Inside I have room to play with toys and chill with your buddies.

About: Ive taken care of the family's animals since I was 8 years old. I have experience with a wide array of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, lizards and birds. Currently I am the mama to a lovable 145lb English Mastiff and two fabulous felines. I am comfortable walking/caring for/playing with every size doggy! About: I have been dog sitting and walking for the past 5 years as a side hustle! I just moved to the area due to just getting married and could definitely use the work and pup time! A sense of companionship with animals began for me at a young age and continued through my teen years when I had a golden retriever named Sammy and cared for my aunt's animals (dogs, cats, sometimes chickens) when she was out of town, on into adulthood when I became the regular dog sitter for two geriatric dogs belonging to an older couple who became like another set of grandparents when I was in college. I worked on basic training for my own dog with my aunt's help and am eager to learn more about dog training as I gain more experience. I am currently working from home and have a flexible schedule into which caring for your pet is a welcome part of my routine during the week! I am generally available Monday through Friday during typical work hours, with earlier care occasionally available. I will sometimes be available on Saturday mornings and afternoons, though this availability will not be as frequent as Monday through Friday. I welcome detailed care instructions for your pet and how they function inside and around your home. If you have boundaries for where your pet goes inside or outside the home, I will work to uphold those. Also, please let me know of anything that I need to keep an eye out for, like destructive chewing habits or signs of stress that you know your pet has exhibited in the past so I can inform you promptly. I grew up in a household with an array of pets- birds, rodents, fish, dogs, cats, rabbits- and have had dogs, cats, and a chicken on my own. Even in college, I had a pet fish because I missed having a critter companion! I love senior pets (the oldies are the goodies), pets with disabilities, one eye, no teeth, etc. I provide pet sitting in your home (no overnights), so your pets can stay where they are most comfortable! I am conscious about locking up your home, sending an update and/or photo of your pet, and following your instructions for your pet’s care. I can let dogs out in your own yard, or we can take a walk around the block. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I am typically available over holidays and weekends. I can accommodate once a day visits, and sometimes can come by twice a day. I double check that all pets are accounted for prior to leaving your home - and will notify you if I did not see a pet during my visit. Since cats are super adept at hiding, I like to know their typical hangout spots before you leave so that I can look for them there. I verify that I have secured my entrance/exit points and will send photos or videos locking up so that you can also share this peace of mind.
