About: I have been a pet sitter for about 4 years now! I started in high school and now do it as a part time job. I love taking care of animals especially dogs! I grew up always having a dog in the house ranging from puppies to senior dogs. I have experience walking dogs, giving them their medication, and providing enrichment. Dog sitting has become a huge part of my life, and I truly love it! I am currently in school full time but only go to class Thursday & Friday. Other than those days my schedule is pretty flexible and open! I am able to crate the pet when needed, administer food and medication, and any other accommodations it may need. As well as making sure the animal/s are happy and well taken care of.

About: Dogs have been my passion for as long as I can remember. As a child, I spent much of my free time learning about different breeds, canine behavior, body language, health, grooming, and training. As an adult, that passion has only grown, and I have been fortunate enough to turn my lifelong love of dogs into a career. I have over eight years of professional experience working with dogs, including six years as a groomer and trainer at a boarding, grooming, and training facility, followed by two years as a professional groomer in a veterinary setting. Throughout my career, I have worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. In addition to my hands-on experience, I have completed numerous online and in-person educational programs through organizations such as the American Kennel Club (AKC) and industry conferences including the Pasadena Groom & Kennel Expo. My continuing education has included canine behavior and body language, canine CPR and first aid, breed standards and breed-specific grooming techniques, behavior modification, working safely with aggressive dogs, and training dogs with behavioral challenges. I believe there is always more to learn, and I am passionate about continuing my education so I can provide the highest level of care possible. One of my greatest strengths is understanding canine body language and behavior. I am highly proficient at recognizing stress signals, fear responses, anxiety, overstimulation, excitement, and other behavioral cues. Over the years, I have worked with everything from easygoing family pets to dogs struggling with reactivity, resource guarding, anxiety, fear-based behaviors, and other behavioral challenges. Understanding why a dog is behaving a certain way allows me to create a positive, safe, and low-stress experience tailored to each individual dog. I have also spent years fostering and grooming dogs for our local Humane Society, often taking on dogs that need extra patience, confidence-building, socialization, training, or behavioral support. Helping these dogs grow and succeed has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work. My experience as a groomer has taught me the importance of being observant and proactive. Groomers often see dogs more frequently than veterinarians and spend extended periods of time closely examining a dog's skin, coat, ears, eyes, feet, movement, and overall condition. Throughout my career, I have helped many clients identify potential concerns that later warranted veterinary attention, including food and environmental allergies, chronic skin conditions, ear infections, unusual lumps or bumps, coat changes, mobility concerns, and other health issues. While I never diagnose medical conditions, I take pride in recognizing when something appears unusual and encouraging owners to seek veterinary care. In many cases, early recognition helped owners find answers sooner and allowed their pets to receive treatment before problems became more serious or caused prolonged discomfort. I currently live on 10 acres with my three dogs: two Chihuahua mixes that I adopted as foster failures from the Humane Society and a Standard Poodle who has become somewhat of a local celebrity. Thanks to my grooming experience, he is known for his creative trims and has won local Halloween costume contests. He has also participated in community events where he helped demonstrate proper grooming and brushing techniques for pet owners. His friendly, outgoing personality and love of meeting new people are a reflection of the training, socialization, and care that I believe every dog deserves. If any of the following situations occur, your booking may be adjusted to include the applicable additional fee. Female Dogs in Heat — $10/day An additional $10 per day will apply if a female dog is in heat during her stay, including if her heat cycle begins after drop-off. Dogs in heat require additional cleaning, monitoring, and management and must be kept completely separate from any intact male dogs in the household. Transportation (Pick-Up/Drop-Off): I offer optional pickup and drop-off for boarding/daycare clients located within 60 miles of my home. Transportation is charged at $1 per mile, each way, based on the distance between my home and your pickup/drop-off location. (When booking, you will notice it has a "flat rate" of $100 shown for sitter pickup/drop off. This flat rate will be adjusted once I receive your address and can calculate the correct fee based on the milage.) This helps cover gas, travel time, and vehicle expenses. Pickup and drop-off can be added individually or together, depending on your needs. Excessive Barking — $10 per day An additional $10 per day may be charged for dogs who display excessive or persistent barking throughout their stay. Normal occasional barking, excitement, or a reasonable adjustment period in a new environment will not result in an additional fee. This fee applies when barking is ongoing or excessive enough to require additional supervision, intervention, or management. Not Crate Trained — $10 per day An additional $10 per day may be charged for dogs who are not crate trained or have significant difficulty safely and calmly settling in a crate when needed for short periods of time (30 minutes or less). While dogs spend the majority of their day out and about, crates are used for feeding when necessary, brief periods of separation, and anytime I need to leave the home. Normal whining or a short adjustment period will not result in an additional fee; this fee is intended for dogs who require substantially more supervision or management due to difficulty being crated. Frequent Indoor Accidents — $10/day An additional $10 per day will apply if a dog has three or more indoor potty accidents during their stay, regardless of whether the accidents are due to house-training, marking, illness, stomach upset, or another cause. All large-breed dogs are taken outside for potty breaks at least once every hour, and all small-breed dogs are taken outside at least once every 30 minutes. Additional potty breaks are provided whenever needed. The first two accidents will not result in an additional charge. Once a dog has had three indoor accidents, the $10 daily fee will apply due to the additional cleaning, sanitizing, laundry, and care required. An occasional or isolated accident is understandable and will not result in an additional fee. This policy is specifically intended for recurring accidents that require a significant amount of additional cleaning during your dog’s stay. About: I have always had dogs in my life, I grew up on a ranch with an assortment of different breeds and sizes. I have two pups of my own, Goose is our Mastiff/St. Bernard puppy and Lady is my German Shepherd. They are both rescues, super energetic (but they also will leave other dogs alone if the dog doesn’t want to play), they love every dog under the sun. Growing up I have always had the joy of watching friends, family, and neighbors furry friends. When dogs stay with me you can expect they will have a great time, they have a giant yard/pool to run and play on and in, we also go on hikes in the forest or to the Lake, frequent trips to the park, and of course they will love to explore all that Mendocino County has to offer. What can I say, I love dogs and enjoy spending everyday taking care of them :) I hope to be the dog sitter for you I am a stay at home mom with my two kids, so it is very rare the pups are ever left alone. The only time I leave the house is to pick up my son from preschool 10 min down the road. Our back yard is completely fenced and I have two very friendly dogs that they will get to play with. I treat all dogs like my own so they always get the best care possible.

Day and night I got you, I’m very good with animals I love taking them for walk and to the park I’m free any day or night for a drop in or over night. Park time is fun I’m great with schedules. “Michele responded quickly to my initial request. She came to my house to meet the cats and talk to me, which made me feel comfortable that they would be well taken care of. She sent me frequent pictures and videos, showing the cats playing and having a good time. I suspect they enjoyed their time with her more than the day to day they spend with me. She even informed me that one of my cats likes to participate in yoga. After 9 years, this was new information. When I came home the house was clean and cats were happy. I cook their food, and I am a great housecleaner so your space will be nice when you come back home.
