“Rio is an excellent house and dog sitter! She stayed at our home with our 20 months old lab who has a lot of energy and is not used to being away from us. Rio walked her twice a day, took her to get a lot of exercise at the dog park, and treated her like a princess! We got several videos and pictures of our happy dog while we were away for 5 days. We came home to a tidy house and a very happy dog! I highly recommend Rio as a pet and house sitter and I will definitely use her again!”

About: I have owned and cared for animals my entire life. I have experience with dogs, cats, bunnies and some livestock animals. Dogs are my favorite and I have had the most experience owning and caring for them. I’m experienced with all different kinds of breeds, temperament and age dogs. I always care for them like I would my own animals (spoiled! Lol). I am currently not accepting animals in my home but am happy to do drop ins, walks and house sitting. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I am almost always home and pay attention to cues that dogs need attention or to the go outside. I have one dog who is treated like a family and spoiled like a prince. Animals are allowed on the couch and to sleep in bed if you desire. There is always plenty of fresh water, treats, toys and room to play.

About: I have always had dogs in my life, I grew up on a ranch with an assortment of different breeds and sizes. I have two pups of my own, Goose is our Mastiff/St. Bernard puppy and Lady is my German Shepherd. They are both rescues, super energetic (but they also will leave other dogs alone if the dog doesn’t want to play), they love every dog under the sun. Growing up I have always had the joy of watching friends, family, and neighbors furry friends. When dogs stay with me you can expect they will have a great time, they have a giant yard/pool to run and play on and in, we also go on hikes in the forest or to the Lake, frequent trips to the park, and of course they will love to explore all that Mendocino County has to offer. What can I say, I love dogs and enjoy spending everyday taking care of them :) I hope to be the dog sitter for you I am a stay at home mom with my two kids, so it is very rare the pups are ever left alone. The only time I leave the house is to pick up my son from preschool 10 min down the road. Our back yard is completely fenced and I have two very friendly dogs that they will get to play with. I treat all dogs like my own so they always get the best care possible.

About: I’ve taken care of various dogs since I was young , my family has 6 dogs and 1 cat and my neighbors have dogs as well so since I was young I would help take care of them if they went away on holidays or just needed some help. During high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter so I got to take care of even more dogs and cats!! I’m currently enrolled in college full time, however I’m looking to make extra money and connections in the community and thought this would be a great way to start! Many of my classes are in the morning so I’ll have plenty of availability during the afternoons and weekends I am excellent at following any rules pet owners have for their animals and will take excellent care of your pets! I won’t be bringing any home with me, however I will take care of clients home with care

“Michele responded quickly to my initial request. She came to my house to meet the cats and talk to me, which made me feel comfortable that they would be well taken care of. She sent me frequent pictures and videos, showing the cats playing and having a good time. I suspect they enjoyed their time with her more than the day to day they spend with me. She even informed me that one of my cats likes to participate in yoga. After 9 years, this was new information. When I came home the house was clean and cats were happy. I would highly recommend Michele.Hopefully she is available the next time I go out of town.”

About: I have many years experience in caring for client pets and farm animals! I have house-sat at many homes for dogs of many breeds, cats, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and more. I volunteer at the animal shelter in my free time and enjoy walking and caring for the animals there. I work remotely from my laptop, so I am very flexible and can work from your home as long as there is reliable wifi. I can fit in feedings, walks, medications, etc with your pet's routine schedule. For house-sits, I always take thorough notes from the owners, and happily check in as often or seldom as requested to ensure the owners are comfortable with their pet's experience while they are away.

About: Growing up in a rural home with dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, cows, goats, etc. came a strong passion for animals and caring for them came naturally. Always a lover of all animals big or small, old or young - at age 12, I began pet sitting / dog walking for neighbors, friends, family, etc. I have boarded, walked, fed, bathed, administered medications, etc. for dozens of animals over the years. About: I’ve taken early retirement and have a lot of time in my hands. I have been pet sitting for a client with four dogs, a chihuahua , two frenchies and occasionally a German shepherd in their home. I cook their food, and I am a great housecleaner so your space will be nice when you come back home. I will take loving care of your cat or dog, only one pet at a time unless they are from the same household. I do not have any pets of my own at this time, which allows me flexibility in my schedule to be able to pet sit. I look forward to taking care of your fur baby. I took early retirement, so I will be home with the pet all day and night for whatever is needed. I have experience with senior dogs and frenchies.
