About: I've had a number of pets throughout my life that I have taken care of including dogs of all sizes. I hold a special place in my heart for pitbulls as my sweetest girl was a pittie mix. I'm also used to anxious animals and can manage a pet who doesn't appreciate human contact very much. I'm currently in graduate school, looking for work over the summer and hopefully continuing into weekends and evenings once classes begin again. I work part time in senior care. I believe every animal deserves a kind and loving home, regardless or species, breed, or temperament. I approach every animal with respect for their personal space but will happily pet and play with the ones who are comfortable.

Creating a relaxing environment for a dog to feel safe when away from home is exactly what I strive to provide. I value offering predictable routines to significantly reduce anxiety, play time outdoors, puzzle toys for mental stimulation, and meeting your dog's needs in ways that are specific to them. As someone who has provided pet care throughout the last twenty years, and having two dogs myself for the last 5 years, I understand how valuable it is to find a sitter that is reliable, trustworthy, and observant. I will create a plan of care specific to your dog in order to recreate the consistencies of their home life and ensure a comfortable experience. I am a stay at home parent with minimal commitments outside of the home, which makes my schedule very flexible and accommodating. I do have some weekday morning appointments that may require me to leave the house for 1-2 hours. If boarding, I am available for last minute bookings. For dog walking or services that require being out of the home, I will need a few day notice to ensure I am not busy with other clients as I plan to only work with one family at a time. Please note that I have two older children that may accompany me for dog walking and drop in visits, but I will personally be responsible for handling all pet care. I have two friendly dogs who are both crate trained but prefer to roam freely. I keep a gate on the staircase to keep pets on the main level. This is for safety to ensure they are better supervised and not left unattended. My main level is very clear and clutter free. I have a gate on the back deck so the dogs can lounge safely outdoors. I do not have a fenced yard as our dogs are trained to stay within the boundary of the back yard, but I do have a dog play pen attached to the deck in the yard for potty breaks (this was set up to house train my puppy in a more confined area outside). Please let me know preference for your dog being outside as I am happy to take them out on a leash or let them in the play pen area if they aren't jumpers.

I’ve had animals my whole life from dogs, cats, horses, and exotic birds. I am the designated care giver for my friends’ and family’s pets and wanted to give Rover a try to put those skills to more use. I currently have two cats of my own and will not be accepting to board animals in my home at this time, but am more than happy to care for your furry or feathered friends in their current space and make sure they’re exercised, fed, and not missing you too much while you’re away! I currently work remotely part time during the week and have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to drive and visit your pets to care for them. Drop in visits typically take about 15-20 minutes, walking or exercising can be 1-2 hours, and sitting can be booked for multiple days. Since I will be only caring for pets in their own homes, my care is fully personalized and customizable to meet your specific needs and requirements. I am comfortable giving medication to pets and am experienced with reactive and emotionally triggered animals.

About: I am new to utilizing Rover and am trying to learn the ropes currently. I have grown up around dogs my entire life and have cared for friends dog’s throughout the years (walking, giving baths, lending cuddles, playtime, etc.) but have not taken this into a professional setting yet. I have three sweetie pie pit bulls at home (8 months, 7 years, and 12years old) and love them more than life itself! I have cared for many breeds big and small including a mastiff, chihuahua mixes, many pit bulls, all the colored labs, a border collie, and many more. My goal is to care for your pets as I care for my own and am looking forward to meeting new friends! ***P.S.*** I do not provide care for cats, as I am allergic to them! I have a pretty flexible availability during weekdays with no availability on weekends, as that is when I work at my serving job. I have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but can find work arounds before and after each. I will be sure to update my availability regularly. About: I have worked in the pet care industry, specializing in dogs, since 2013. From daycare and boarding to training and behavior modification- from grooming to veterinary care- I have seen it all and worked closely with a wide variety of experts in these fields. For several years, I even owned and ran my own in-home dog training business before deciding to move to the veterinary side- utilizing my years of experience to now help care for the health of people’s beloved dogs- and cats- in as fear free a way as possible. I am very excited to expand to offer walks and nail trims in this format and for the new relationships I will build!
