About: I’ve been around animals my entire life, including horses, pigs, goats, dogs, cats, and reptiles. My most recent experience has been in both general practice and emergency veterinary medicine, which has made me very comfortable administering medications, recognizing medical concerns, and caring for pets with special needs. I understand that every animal is unique, so I like to take the time to learn each pet’s routine and personality to provide safe, compassionate care. Animals are my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own I work at a veterinary day practice 3 days a week and rotating Saturdays. So my availability is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, most Saturdays, and Sundays, plus any evening after 7 p.m. I do try to be flexible, so feel free to message me if you need something outside of those hours I love helping pets stay comfortable in their normal routine while their owners are away! I provide safe, attentive care during walks and drop-ins, including feeding, playtime, potty breaks, medications if needed, and lots of affection. I’m mindful about leash safety and making sure each pet feels secure.
“Josephine did a great job taking care of our senior dog and two cats. We got daily updates on how they were doing and came home to them happy and healthy. Highly recommend if you're looking for a house sitter!”
“She was excellent with my high energy aussiedoodle! Even taught him a couple commands in a weekend. Left my home just as it was when she arrived, Will definitely rebook without hesitation, she met & exceeded our expectations!! Thank you 🙂”

About: My years of experience is for professional experience. Years personal experience is well over 20. I’ve had pets all my life growing up from exotics to cats and dogs. Professionally I’ve been a pet groomer (can do small animals, dogs and cats) and a shift manager at a pet store where I was a pet specialist, dog groomer, and pet nutritionalist. I have experience with fish, dogs, cats, pocket pets (hamsters, rats, mice, Guinea pigs, rabbits ect.), reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, arachnids. I have certifications in pet grooming, animal body language, and pet care. Formerly a fear certified pet groomer (not activity grooming anymore but I plan to get that back). Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns you may have. I’m going to school full time all online so when pet sitting I am able to take my course work with me while I take care of your pets. I will follow all instructions, I have slip leads that I will use over the collars so that way if anything happens during walks outside there’ll be extra protection. I will pick up after your dog. Make sure water is available 24/7 and make sure feeding schedules are on time. I can also take care of exotic pets, fish, and I have an amazing green thumb! So even your plants will get the best care.
About: Hi, my name is Lilie! I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was little and love to be around them. I am currently in school for Medical Ultrasound so I am pretty busy, but if you need someone to watch your pet during nights, mornings, or weekends I’m you’re girl! I have 4 dogs and 2 cats of my own and I have experience working in a doggy daycare for 2 years, so you can be sure that your animal is in good hands :) I’m currently in clinicals full time during the week, so I work 4 10 hour shifts sometime Monday-Friday. Every other weekend I work a part time job from 5:30 in the morning to 1 or 2 in the afternoon Saturday and Sunday. If you are willing to work around these hours, I would love to take care of your animals and help out where I can! I usually like to do a visit before with pet owners to see if I’m a good match for them. Also, I will never take on more than one job at a time so I will always be able to give your pets my full time and attention. When booking me for housesitting, I can stay at your house and watch your animal or I can come by to check on them at set times. I do not offer any services in my own home.
“Monica was absolutely wonderful. She was very kind, always responsive, and kept us updated the entire time. We were able to fully enjoy our vacation because we had a great feeling about her from the very beginning. When we came back, the cats were happy — and that’s all we could ever ask for. She also sent us very cute pictures throughout the stay. Thank you so much, Monica!”

“Sierra watched out two dogs for the first time and we could not be happier! We received updates and pictures of our pups and felt very comfortable having her watch them! We will be using Sierra again!”

“Elisha did a great job during her stay with our dog Molly. She is a caring and calm person, which is ideal for this. She kept in touch about things, and I felt that she was in good hands with Elisha.”

About: I went to FCCC and had worked with dogs for as long as I can remember. I love animals and will take good care of your pets! I am currently not doing anything for work so I am free any week day and some weekends. I am on a travel softball team so some weekends I will be busy. I live in the country down a long lane so we don’t have a fence, we just let our dogs run free. They are pretty trained but if you are not comfortable with this I can put your dogs on a lease or just watch them at your house.
About: I’ve been taking care of all different types of dogs for my entire life! I’m very knowledgeable on certain training skills, but also any needs for your dog. I currently work at a vets office if that gives you more comfort! And 100% guaranteed to give your pet the care and loving they need while you’re away! I am currently working in Wapakoneta at Auglaize Animal Hospital. I’m also a student taking classes at Franklin University online. My current free days are Sundays, Wednesdays, and every other Saturday! For previous pets, I was responsible for feeding, exercising, and showing love and care to the animals! However, my #1 concern is always the safety and health of the animals.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rawson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rawson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rawson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
