About: I have taken care of animals my whole life. I have had two dogs, a bunny, two guinea pigs, and fish. My dog Fifi is my best friend I administer meds, feed, and care for her. I have worked at Mays Country Kennel, caring for dogs and cats of all breeds. I am a current student at the University of Findlay for pre-vet and animal sciences. I work weekends and the time varies but I am free afternoons after 2pm during the weekdays. I know my schedule three weeks in advance and I plan accordingly. I respect other people's living space and would care for the space and the pet. I would treat your pet like my own! Whatever the client asks I will follow.

Bobbie was amazing- dedicated, thorough, and so great with the pets! I have a senior dog and two cats and she immediately put them at ease and sent lots of pictures and updates that reassured me that my babies were in good hands. I’m so grateful for her dedication and care- it’s never easy to be away from my pets, but it’s easier when I know that the person with them truly enjoys them, and Bobbie does. She has a gift, and we’re lucky to have found her!

About: My years of experience is for professional experience. Years personal experience is well over 20. I’ve had pets all my life growing up from exotics to cats and dogs. Professionally I’ve been a pet groomer (can do small animals, dogs and cats) and a shift manager at a pet store where I was a pet specialist, dog groomer, and pet nutritionalist. I have experience with fish, dogs, cats, pocket pets (hamsters, rats, mice, Guinea pigs, rabbits ect.), reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, arachnids. I have certifications in pet grooming, animal body language, and pet care. Formerly a fear certified pet groomer (not activity grooming anymore but I plan to get that back). Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns you may have. I’m going to school full time all online so when pet sitting I am able to take my course work with me while I take care of your pets. I will follow all instructions, I have slip leads that I will use over the collars so that way if anything happens during walks outside there’ll be extra protection. I will pick up after your dog. Make sure water is available 24/7 and make sure feeding schedules are on time. I can also take care of exotic pets, fish, and I have an amazing green thumb! So even your plants will get the best care.

About: Growing up in a home filled with pets, I learned from an early age just how much love, companionship, and joy animals bring into our lives. Caring for pets has always been a natural and meaningful part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether your pet is young and playful, a senior who needs a little extra patience, or anywhere in between, I’m committed to providing them with the love, attention, and care they deserve. I genuinely love animals of all kinds and will treat your pets with the same kindness and care I would give my own. 🐾❤️ I look forward to making sure your furry family members feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! I currently have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the pets in my care. Pet care can easily fit into my daily routine, whether that means morning and evening walks, regular feeding times, playtime, potty breaks, or simply spending time keeping a pet company. I’m able to work around each pet’s individual routine and needs rather than trying to fit them into a rigid schedule. I’m also available for longer visits and can provide consistent care throughout the week. My goal is to make sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, companionship, and love they need to feel happy and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and cared for. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and individual needs so I can provide care that fits them—not just a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, give medications or special care when needed, keep pets active with walks and playtime, and make sure they receive plenty of affection and attention. For senior pets or younger animals, I’m patient and attentive to their different needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’ll also respect their space and keep things clean and tidy. My goal is for your pets to feel relaxed and loved while you’re away, and for you to have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands.

About: Ever since I was a little girl I knew working with animals was what I wanted to do. I started with family members pets, then moved on to friends and friends of friends now I have lots of experience. I grew up on a farm, raising farm animals, participating in 4h, and racing horses. I’ve owned almost every small pet you could have while growing up. I take my care with animals extremely serious and I take pride in the exceptional care I can proved for animals. Pets have a huge soft spot in my heart and there is nothing more I’d rather do in life. I have experience with reptiles as well as administering medications. I have lots of reviews and references and a page on Facebook called “Happy Paws” you can feel free to check out as well! I’m a full time pet sitter, therefore I have open availability. I work a lot of odd hours so early mornings or late nights doesn’t bother me! I have a fenced in yard and a friendly fur baby to keep your pets company. I don’t do crates unless requested by the owner. I’m home with your pet 24/7 so no need to worry about that. I have lots of toys and treats and I always separate during feeding time. I have a separate area your pet can be alone if they are nervous and need a calm environment!

FAQs for House Sitting - Findlay

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Findlay on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 160 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Findlay. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Findlay walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Findlay maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Findlay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Findlay. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
