About: Hi! My name is Roisin and I have unwittingly become the go-to dogsitter for family and friends alike. I have watched a variety of dogs — very large ones who need lots of exercise, dogs with nervous stomachs, and 4-month old puppies who needed frequent potty trips in the middle of the night. While housesitting, I make a strong effort to maintain your pet’s routine — including feeding, treats (or lack thereof), walks, medication, and time playing. I am a full-time teacher, so most of my care is best scheduled for afternoons and evenings. On the weekends, I am much more able to keep my schedule open but altogether, I try to be flexible! I think it’s super important for dogs to be played with and given TLC while their families are away. It’s one thing to refill water bowls and take a dog for a walk, and an entirely other thing to make the dog feel at ease and loved. I make it a priority to spend time playing fetch or simply cuddling so you can rest knowing your dog is happy! When housesitting, I make it a goal to keep your house as you would like it! I tidy daily and will strip beds and do a deep clean of the areas I used prior to your arrical home.
About: I am a life-long animal lover. I grew up with dogs, a cat, a rabbit and anything else I could convince my parents to house! I've been riding horses since an early age as well. Connecting with animals has always come very naturally to me. I truly enjoy caring for and loving animals. My first job, at the age of 13, was as a daily after-school dog-walker, for my neighbor's Old English Sheepdog, Winston. That 30 minutes was the highlight of my weekdays. “We have an anxious 15 year old dog who needs lots of love and anxiety medication, so finding the right person to take care of her while we are gone is hard. We had left our cat with Aletris before and she was awesome, so we decided to see how she and our dog would be together and we are over the moon with the care she gave our pup. Not only did my dog, Ellie eat THE WHOLE time we were away, but she was genuinely happy to see and be cared for by Aletris! We were on the other side of the world in Australia and then had a wedding as soon as we got back and every day we got beautifully detailed reports with pictures and videos of how our fur babies were doing! Not only that but she brought in our mail and our many many packages and also disposed of the trash for us that we had forgotten to take with us and you can leave it out because we have bears, so she physically took it with her. We even did weekly puppy play dates with her leading up to the trip so our doggo could get to know her before she came to pet sit for almost two weeks she as so patient with us and Ellie and we are just so incredibly grateful we found Aletris. 🥲♥️ She is the BEST pet sitter you will ever find!
