I build feeding times, walks or play sessions, potty breaks, and general wellness checks around my work blocks, making sure pets get the care and interaction they need throughout the day. On the days I’m in the office, I plan visits intentionally to keep each pet’s routine stable. Whether it’s morning care, midday enrichment, or evening check‑ins, I make sure every pet gets predictable, comforting attention. Because I’m used to balancing a hybrid schedule with pet responsibilities, I’m very organized and reliable about maintaining consistent care all week long. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine, environment, and comfort exactly the way they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions closely—feeding schedules, walk times, play preferences, medication needs, and any household rules—so pets feel secure and stress‑free. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, whether they need extra play, quiet companionship, or a slow, gentle approach. I keep the home tidy and respectful, making sure food and water areas stay clean, litter boxes or potty routines are maintained, and any messes are handled right away. I also pay attention to small details like closing gates, locking doors, turning lights on or off as requested, and keeping the home feeling lived‑in and safe. Throughout the stay, I send updates and photos so owners always know how their pets are doing.

About: I have had animals since I was a newborn, surrounded by cats, dogs, mice, you name it! Continuing my love for animals, I work full time at a doggy daycare, which I have been at for over a year. I have 2 animals of my own, and work at a doggy daycare. Pet care is LITERALLY a part of my daily routine! Right now, I do have a fairly packed schedule. However, I am 100% willing to make time. :) I have a massive yard, with 20 ft. leashes to roam. I also own a friendly chocolate lab, though he doesn’t play much with other animals. I am able to adjust to any potential special needs or wants!

Dogs evolved with humans, and I understand that relationship and how dogs meet our emotional needs. Please read my first four reviews which I received from pet owners that I served even before signing up with Rover. The pet owner decides when treats are allowed, if table scraps are allowed, and how much food to give. The dog decides when it wants to go potty. 😉 Just in case, I usually take the dog out before it decides and always before any discomfort. Snuggles welcome. 🐾🥰😻 When serving you and your pet, I like to send pictures. We can also use FaceTime or Zoom to check in. 🐶🤩 At age 61, I’ve been a retired teacher for 3 years, and my activity level allows me to run or play with your beloved dog. In your home, I follow instructions and do the routine for your beloved just like you would. However, if I’m allowed to give more snuggles, or more walks, or more training than you normally have time for, I’m at your service.

About: I’ve worked with variety of species, specializing with dogs! I have skills with grooming and training. I have 4 of my own dogs and do dog sports as well! I work from home so I have extra time to care for your pets and am able to move around my schedule. Saturdays are the only days I may not be able to take same day bookings! I understand crate and gate management and will make sure your animals are happy and healthy! As of right now I can’t offer boarding in my own home but maybe in the future

About: Let me know if your dog has any special needs, medications, or behaviors that I can account for or help with. I would love to help. If you have plants that need watering, mail, or packages that need to be brought in, I can help with that too! I'm retired and love traveling around Wisconsin and the world. Slow traveling is my favorite. I can explore new neighborhoods, cities, and local attractions without being rushed. I will follow your directions for your house and loved ones. Let me know the extra duties like watering, mail, or garbage routine. The house is left cleaner than I found it.

About: For years I have walked and taken care of my neighborhoods dogs. I even had a dog myself and would take him on walks everyday. I now have a cat with my significant other and love playing with him. When I get home from work I like to go on walks, but I miss walking my late dog so walking and taking care of someone else animal would make me happy and also them. Making sure the yard is safe and doors or fences are close before letting the animals out. Making sure everything is put away and not in reach of the animals unless it is their toys or things meant for them.

About: I have worked with numerous animals since I was 5 years old. I have owned chickens, rabbits, horses, dogs, and cats my entire life. I am a 4-H leader where I teach children how to train dogs and I help them show and prepare their animals at fair. I also show my own animals at the fair. Additionally, I have pet sat for numerous family members over the years as well as friends. I will always be there for your pet and I will make sure they are well taken care of and loved just like they are my own. I am a teacher who is currently on summer break. So my schedule is pretty open during the summer and I have a lot of availability. During the school year, most of my weekends are free as well as when we have breaks. I am flexible and willing to make things work for you! I live on a little hobby farm with my husband. I have 3 dogs and 3 cats who are very friendly. I have everything needed in my home to take care of a dog including a kennel if needed as well as tie outs. We have a lake that is 5 minutes from our house and if your dog loves to swim, I would be happy to take them. I take my dogs all over in the summer and I would make sure your pet gets a lot of attention and exercise as well. Additionally, we have a huge barn and fenced in pasture as well as rabbit hutches in the barn and a chicken coop! Whatever animal you have they can be comfortable at my property. Additionally, if you feel better about your animal staying at home, I am happy to accommodate to that as well.

About: I’ve been volunteering at animals shelters for 10+ years and have experience with sensitive pets or unique regimens. I’ve also volunteered at the National Aquarium in an animal husbandry role, so I’m a quick learner if you have pets such as reptiles that need unique care. I grew up with cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, snakes, hamsters, chinchillas, and a frog named Fred. I probably enjoy the walks more than the pups and I’ve never met a cat I didn’t like! My name is Melissa and I’m the proud human to three cats - Rosie, Griffon, & Minerva. I became the human to my first cat when I was 6 months old and maintained a wonderful bond with my Princess until she died at the old age of 21. I will treat any companion like they are my own and continue to love them in your absence. I’m always looking for a companion to go on adventures with, if your dog is up for the challenge. But if your cat prefers to nap together - or even ignore me entirely, I can do that, too!

About: I have taken care of many different types of animals in animal shelter settings and have worked at Blue Pearl Emergency Vet. This included potty breaks, play-time and giving them food and their medications when needed. I have taken care of diabetic animals and animals with injuries, etc. I have also had many different types of animals since the day I was born. I have a flexible schedule and am willing to work around different work schedules or vacation times, etc. I am interested in helping whenever needed. I will follow different directions as given or told depending on the animals needs and what is best for the family and animal. It will vary depending on what is needed.

About: I have trained puppies, and dealt with animals who needed medicine or injections daily and blind dogs! I’ve also worked with different breeds because i volunteered at a shelter for awhile! I currently only work part time, so I do have lots of time to be taking great care and spending time with your pet! monday-sunday i’m available, after 2pm works best for me! I have a big fenced in yard, and two other dogs as well to keep your pet company, I also own a crate for big and small dogs if needed, I have many treats and lots of toys as well!

About: I've grown up with dogs and once I lived on my own, soon adopted 3 cats. I've had several dogs and cats throughout my life, loving them as my children. Every animal I meet melts my heart in their own special way and I fall in love every time. I would be honored to care for your fur [or scale!] baby/ies! I will feed your animal the directed amount in the directed time. I will play with your cat/dog several times throughout the day. For dogs, potty breaks every 2 hours minimum. About: I have had a love for dogs my entire life! I was blessed to grow up with the sweetest Black Lab and my family welcomed a toy poodle to our family when I was 12. In the last couple of years, the family dogs have gone from 2 to 6 with the addition of my in-laws. I am at my happiest when we are all in the same house, each of us with a dog on our lap or at our feet. I don't know what life is like without a dog in it! I lost my 4 year old mini dachshund unexpectedly in 2020. Since then my love for dogs has only grown. I would love to hangout with your furbaby! I currently work a hybrid schedule, working from home most days. My role allows me flexibility throughout the day. I would love to fit in a couple of dog walks and cuddles into my schedule. All dogs are part of the family in my home. I will never treat them differently. I grew up with runners, so have no fear that keeping your dogs safe and home is my number one priority.
