“We have used Chelsea many times and we really like her she is so good with Dexter he needs medication and she is very good with that as well. When we leave Dexter will her we have no worries.”

“Rebecca was absolutely wonderful! Her and her family took amazing care of Monty while we were away — sending regular updates, photos, and making sure he got plenty of love, walks, and playtime. It gave us peace of mind knowing our dog was in such good hands. I’d definitely recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Gina was great with Riley. We haven’t left him with people we didn’t know before and she did a great job of watching him and keeping us updated. Riley is quite energetic and he got many walks and time to explore to get his energy out. Highly reccomend Gina to anybody.”

“Krystal's love of dogs is evident and her current bestie, Duke, was a welcoming partner! We left our sweet Piper with Krystal for a week and Piper seemed to adjust well and was in good spirits when we picked her up. I think she even missed Krystal and Duke for a day or so after we returned home! Krystal kept us abreast of how Piper was doing and was responsive to our questions. I was amazed by how unfazed she was by the cold, wet weather that hung over the Fox Valley the week we were away; seemingly taking the additional 4 muddy paws in stride! We would happily re-book with Krystal the next time we need to leave town.”

“Happy to find Robin as we had a last minute need for overnight care for Biko and Bruno. She did an excellent job taking our dogs on walks and engaging them in play. Her knowledge and training skills were such a plus, quickly assuring us that our dogs were in good hands. Her photo and video reports were terrific! We picked up some happy pups and will definitely return. Thank you Robin!”

“This was my puppy’s first night boarding and it went so well and smoothly! Kristina sent several updates with how he was doing and I could tell my pup was having a great time!”

“Karen and Chris were great with our cat! He can be a bit annoying looking for attention but they were patient and he was spoiled and well cared for. Looking forward to booking with them again.”

“Emma was awesome! She had our shetland sheepdog for over two weeks. We did a meet and greet to make sure everyone would get along. It went well and we were very comfortable leaving Nikki for a long time with Emma. Communication was fast for everything. Emma sent pics and an update almost everyday. Nikki was clearly enjoying herself. We would definitely have Emma dogsit Nikki again.”

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was 8, it started with a cat and grew to dogs and snakes and more, working with animals is my dream job. I work factory Monday through Friday but Friday night into Sunday I am available for pet care. I have 2 cats and a dog at my own home, but I am more than happy to dog sit at others homes. I make sure my cats litter boxes are kept clean, I keep their food bowls filled, and I keep their water filled. I walk my dog a lot and I take her out every couple hours to use the bathroom.
“Ram and Anu were fantastic! They sent videos, photos and even brought Nikky to visit me at the hospital for a couple hours. They treated Nikky like their own... plenty of love and interaction and fun. I will definitely book them again. I recommend them to anyone who truly loves their pet. I loved the photos of their daughter reading to Nikky and played with him. Their Chocolate Lab was a great buddy for Nikky. They played very well together.”

“Jasmine was fantastic! She is very professional, always responded quickly to any questions, and took great care of our puppy. She helped with some training (as the puppy was only 12 weeks old) and her own dog, Stryda, was a great playmate and teacher for our puppy.”

About: I have over 15 years of pet sitting experience with a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, birds, turtles, lizards, fish, rabbits, chickens and ducks. I have experience with temperamental or reactive animals as well. Animals are my passion and both friends and family know they can rely on me to provide exceptional care, love and respect to their fur babies while they are away. No animal is too big or too small! I am currently unemployed and in the job searching process so I have a very open and flexible schedule. Whether you need dog walking services or in-home care I can make it work for your needs! I have a beagle/boxer mix who gets daily walks and has a big fenced in yard to enjoy at our home. I also have two cats, a classic brown tabby and a petite tuxedo girly. We are unique as we bring all of our animals camping so they get to experience the outdoors with us! My animals are treated like my children and part of the family which is exactly how I would treat yours. I honestly prefer animals over humans.
“Emma & Jacob (and Cosmo!) took such great care of Lucca while I was out of town. Communication was quick, and they provided regular (and adorable) updated throughout the stay. They were so sweet with her, and obviously had a lot of experience. I can't recommend them enough, especially if you're looking for people with an adorable dog to keep your fur-baby company.”

“Mitzi was so well treated. She was walked and made to feel at home while staying there. I highly recommend Caitlin and Samuel. They are very friendly and I plan to keep them in mind for future needs.”

About: My whole life I’ve lived with and taken care of pets, ranging from puppies and kittens to 13yr doggos and a 17yr old cat who we call granny. My friends and family have always trusted me to babysit and even take in their animals when necessary. I’ve also had a rabbit, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds and taken care of my sisters ferrets so I have a vast animal care knowledge. One of my current dogs is from a shelter and has PTSD so I also am well versed in dogs with anxiety and fears. I love my fur babies and make sure they’re taken care of, but I would love to meet and spoil more! There is always time for extra love! I always make sure everybody has water and has had enough to eat, as well as routine potty breaks to avoid accidents. I will always adapt for each pets needs!
“Brianna did a great job with my pup! She sent updates and pictures and was super easy to work with. I couldn’t be happier with how the weekend went. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a safe and loving home away from home for their pet!”

“We had a great experience with Matthew! He took great care of our dog while we were away, sent photo updates and had great communication. Pickup and dropoff was when he said and when so smooth! Would love to send our pup with him again!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Quinney home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Quinney.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Quinney sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
