About: I have plenty of sitting experience ranging from short stays of 3-4 days to long stays for more than 30 days in Europe for friends and family (first time turning my hobby as a job, if you need recommendation don't hesitate to ask me). Dogs, cats, I get along with them all and can handle any necessary household task. To me pets are members of the family. My purpose is to keep things running smoothly while you're away and provide necessary care. I am extremely responsible and resourceful, so I am usually good at quickly fitting into a new place. I'm also a home and flat owner so I understand the responsibilities that come with both and am super tidy and considerate. I'm an international (from Portugal/Switzerland) part time student at KCC, since I have a lot of virtual classes I spend a lot of time staring at my computer screen and greatly appreciate it when I’ve animals about to distract me. I’ve had some house-sitting cats take the role of supervisor very seriously over the years, and my class mates always enjoy the feline interruptions during video meetings. Animals have always inspired me and spending time with them is one of my favorite things. I’m happy to answer any questions you have, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

About: As a former dog mom of three for over 10 years, I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals, my flexibility (I’m available every day of the week!), and my attention to detail. Also I have reliable transportation. I’m here to make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I am currently taking a break from work (I am a teacher). So I am available any day of the week. I love to go to the beach, run, go on hikes. So if you prefer I can take the dog with me. Me and my boyfriend live in the house on the North Shore. We don’t have a fence in our house. I am available to walk the dog 3 times a day. I love going for a walk and I have plenty of free time.

About: I have had dogs my entire life, but what truly sets me apart is my professional, hands-on experience working with them every day. I spent over three years at a dog daycare, where I grew from a daycare attendant to a dog trainer, and eventually became the daycare manager. This experience gave me the opportunity to work with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and personalities in a structured and supervised environment. In addition to my daycare and training background, I have been a responsible dog breeder since 2022, raising four successful litters of Golden Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers. This has given me an even deeper understanding of canine behavior, development, and attentive, hands-on care from early life stages through adulthood. I have a strong understanding of dog body language and behavior, which allows me to safely handle everything from high-energy dogs to more nervous or reactive ones. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and positive experience for every dog in my care. Dogs are not just a job to me, they are a huge part of who I am. I currently have a Golden Retriever and a Labrador Retriever, and they continue to deepen my love and understanding of what dogs need to feel secure, happy, and well cared for. When caring for your pet, I treat them as if they were my own. You can expect consistent communication, reliability, and attentive care throughout your time away. If you have any questions about my experience or would like to see if I’m a good fit for your pet, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would love to connect with you. Pet care is a consistent and important part of my daily routine. I structure my schedule around providing dependable, attentive care, including regular feeding times, exercise, and enrichment tailored to each dog’s needs. While I do have dogs of my own, they are on a stable routine and well cared for, which allows me to plan my time responsibly and show up fully for the pets in my care. Because of this, I am mindful about how long I am away from home at a time, but I ensure that every visit and stay is intentional, reliable, and focused on your pet’s comfort and well-being. Whether your dog needs structured walks, playtime, or a calm and consistent presence, I am able to incorporate their routine seamlessly into my day. At this time, I provide care exclusively in my client’s home so that your pet can remain comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I take pride in following each dog’s specific needs, whether that includes feeding schedules, walks, playtime, training reinforcement, or simply providing a calm and attentive presence. I am very mindful of safety, structure, and reading dog body language to ensure your pet feels secure and well cared for at all times. If your dog enjoys walks, I am happy to take them around your neighborhood or to appropriate outdoor areas, depending on your preferences. I tailor each visit to match your dog’s energy level and routine. I offer a range of services including drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting depending on availability. My goal is to provide reliable, thoughtful care while keeping your pet happy, safe, and comfortable in your absence. If you have any questions, special requests, or concerns, I am always happy to communicate and make sure I am the right fit for you and your pet.

About: Aloha! I’m Lisa, and caring for pets has always been a joyful part of my life. I grew up with a family dog from my teenage years through early adulthood, and I was responsible for feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of love. More recently, I’ve been trusted to pet sit for friends in their homes, making sure their pets felt safe and cared for while their owners were away. What sets me apart is the attention I give to both pets and their people—I’m happy to send photos, video updates, or do video calls so you feel comfortable and connected while you’re away. Because I work from home in Human Resources, I can be with your pet throughout the day, giving them companionship, care, and attention. I pride myself on being loving, reliable, and attentive to details—whether that’s sticking to a routine, noticing changes in behavior, or giving extra cuddles. My goal is for you to return home to a happy, healthy, and well-cared-for pet. Since I work from home full-time, I can easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. I’m home throughout the day, which means I can provide regular walks, play breaks, and plenty of attention between my work tasks. Mornings and evenings are flexible for longer walks, and I’m available on weekends as well. Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches—I’ll be around to keep them company, stick to their routine, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make safety, trust, and comfort my top priorities. I follow all instructions carefully—feeding schedules, walks, medications, and play routines—so your pet stays on their normal schedule and feels secure. I’m mindful about keeping your home safe as well, always checking that doors, gates, and leashes are secure. I know that inviting someone into your home is a matter of trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. I respect your space by keeping things tidy, cleaning up after pets, and leaving everything as I found it. While I don’t provide general housekeeping or cleaning services, I do make sure food and water areas are refreshed and that your pet’s space is clean and comfortable. You can also count on me for open communication—I’ll send photos, updates, or video calls if you’d like—so you feel reassured that your pet and home are in caring, reliable hands. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own: with love, patience, and attention.

About: With over 30 years of dedicated pet care, I've had the joy of raising puppies and hold a special place in my heart for our wise senior companions – I have two of my own! I understand the unique needs of every dog and am skilled in administering medications (pills included), managing specific feeding schedules, and catering to their preferred choice of exercise, whether it's a gentle stroll or a more energetic adventure. Plus, with flexible walking hours starting as early as 4 am – the early bird gets the worm! – I can ensure your dog gets their steps in whenever best suits their routine. Your furry family member will be treated with the same love and attention I give my own. Being just one block from the beach at Aweoweo, we love treating our pups (and yours!) to some refreshing "swimmies" and sunshine! Imagine your dog enjoying the sand between their paws and a dip in the ocean (always with safety as our top priority, of course!). As home-based business owners with central working hours, our schedule is incredibly flexible. We're early birds, up by 4 am and available until 9 pm, easily fitting in early morning holoholo before it gets too warm. Because we're always local, your dog will have fantastic access to the outdoors throughout the day. I pride myself on my ability to accommodate pretty much any request. Need an extra early walk? A late-night potty break? Specific playtime preferences? Just let me know! Im here to create a schedule that perfectly suits your dog's needs and your peace of mind. Your dog's well-being is my absolute priority. At our tucked-away fourplex, your furry friend will have plenty of room to roam and play in our unfenced yard. I believe in providing a stimulating and engaging environment, whether it's through leisurely walking in the scenic Wailua neighborhoods or exciting outings in our "top dog jeep" to explore the town's bike paths with Ken and me. Beach days, walks in nature, or cozy cuddle sessions on the couch with a good movie – your dog will be treated like one of my own and integrated into our daily island life. Just like my Tucker and Mel, your pup is welcome on the furniture and even in bed for ultimate comfort! You can trust that your dog will receive attentive, personalized care. With over 30 years of experience as a dedicated pet parent, I understand the importance of routine and will adhere to your dog's specific needs and preferences, ensuring they feel secure and happy in my care and Kens. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and enriching environment for your precious pup.

About: Hi! I’m Jason, a lifelong animal lover with over 22 years of experience caring for pets. I’ve worked with dogs, cats, birds, fish, and ferrets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply lots of love and attention, I’m happy to help. I’m also just as happy spending quiet time with senior pets or cuddly cats who prefer a slower pace. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family members, and my goal is to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your pet is happy and in good hands. I’m available all week and on the weekends. My schedule is very flexible. About: Hi, My name is Heather. I have taken care of animals ever since I was a kid, my family, friends, neighbors, and yes even my own! I grew up around a doxin (got him as a pup) and a boxer/mix (rescued). But now that I am moved out of my home and in my own apartment I have gotten my own little baby, an Australian Shepherd, 7 months old named Zen, we are always on walks, playing fetch and going to the beach he is very active and needs a lot of attention so he would be around too. I have also volunteered at the local SPCA multiple times and would even just go in there to show all the animals some love. I have always grown up loving dogs and cannot wait to take care of your fur baby! I only work part-time because I have a pup of my own that I have to be with, so I am very flexible for whenever you need me! I live in a pet friendly apartment complex with a dog yard in the center, also I live right next to the school where there is a big yard and I take my pup there to play fetch. My puppy is great with other dogs he loves to play with them, he just get a little shy around people!

About: I love dogs. Just do. I always had a dog growing up, and I’ve owned my dog Eddie for 4 years now. I’ve been pet sitting for as long as I can remember - it was my first job! In addition, I went to school for wildlife biology and have taught pre-veterinary medicine. My childhood dog was diabetic and had a liver issue, so I’m more than comfortable administering shots, pills, and treatments. Also, I’m a pro-walker. My parents say I started walking early, and I’ve been doing it ever since. But in all honesty, I just want to give your dog some attention and pets and would like you to let me.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
