“Amy was great with my little pooch. I can tell that she treated her like one of her own! She was easy going and very understanding when I showed up late due to a flat tire.”

About: I’ve owned and cared for many types of animals throughout my life. I have experience with dogs, cats, small animals, some birds and reptiles. I am my family’s and neighbors go-to pet sitter. I am looking forward to taking care of your loved pet as well! As a full time caregiver, my schedule can be flexible to fit your specific pet sitting needs. I have a 3 year old Shepard/ Husky mix and a cat that likes to keep to himself. I'd love to stick to your routine as much as possible. If boarding with me, it is important all animals get along and are kid friendly. Please provide any toys/blankets that may help comfort your pup while they stay. Outside time can be on a leash in the backyard, a troll down the sidewalk, or a trip to the park.
“Sara set our minds at ease with her obvious compassion for our pet. The photos and video she sent us convinced us that Coco had found his new "Favorite Place". Thank you Sara, we look forward to seeing you again soon!”

About: I have 10 years of experience in the pet industry from Dog Walking & Pet sitting to grooming, retail and pet nutrition. Dogs are my life long love. I currently share my home with my 3 year old golden retriever, my 7 year old daughter and my husband. Besides clients’ dogs and cats, I have taken care of many friends and family members’ pets as well over the years. Taking care of dogs and cats are my true therapy. I love to take walks with the pups, trips to the parks, and do yard romps; enrichment toys & activities. I am currently a stay at home mom. I am available for midday walks and drop in visits for your fur babies. During those visits we can manage a long walk, or a yard romp, all depending on your dog's needs. Pups that stay with me have to be friendly with children and other dogs. Please contact me in advance for boarding as I like to set up a free Meet & Great visit so your pup and I can get to know each other as well as my other family members. Unfortunately I am not able to board aggressive or reactive dogs.
“This was Abbey’s first visit with Carolyn. Abbey was happy both in arriving and when I came to pick her up. Carolyn took her for a good walk, and did some quality sofa cuddle time, a favorite for Abbey. Will be bringing Abbey back again. Thank you Carolyn for giving Abbey such good care.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, from little to giant! Over the past 3 years I have also fostered over 80 dogs of different ages, sizes and energy levels! I am currently working from home full time so i will have lots of time to hang with your pups and give them lots of playtime! I have a large yard that is fully fenced for playtime and potty breaks! Inside I have multiple spare rooms for pups if they need to be separated or just want a quiet place to nap.
“I can't say enough about how awesome Elliot & Dominque were with my very active Husky! They seemed to have as much fun as she did which is absolutely wonderful and I know that Denali is in fantastic hands when she is with them. Thank you guys again and see you soon!”

“Maria and her family are fantastic! Our dog Chloe has separation anxiety that gets worse in new places. They must be dog whisperers because Chloe settled right in and clearly was having a blast! Would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a dog sitter.”

“This is my first time to use the app. Leah did a great job to take care Winnie. She was able to make the schedule flexible to fit my needs and took Winnie to dog park and walked outdoor multiple times. I definitely will rebook with her next time.”

About: Hi, I am a volunteer EMT and have a life long passion for dogs and all animals. On my spare time, my wife (Melinda) and I enjoy various aspects of the outdoors, no matter the season. We frequently pet sit for my brother-in law's German Shepard, who is full of energy, of which I have learned all the commands and public interaction techniques. This has been ongoing for approximately the past 4 years. * Melinda and I extensively clean and disinfect our house not only before and after each dog but also on a regular basis as well. We are excited to be part of your dog care needs and you can be sure your pets will be well taken care of with us as a smooth transition. Whether it is walking, playing, or pet sitting, we are here to help! Please message us as you know your plans. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing from you! Conveniently I work very close to home and can come home to check on the puppy on my lunch break though that time varies from day to day. We have a long lead in our backyard that we can adjust accordingly and we are always outside with your fur-baby. We also have friendly neighbors and multiple eyes checking in periodically. My wife and I have a fleece-lined jacket 4 any puppy to help combat the weather. Additionally we have couch protectors, Memory Foam bed, a basket of toys, and food and water dish set up
“Jodi, was great with our boxer Elsie. She clearly loves the fur babies that she gets to take care of. Elsie was with Jodi for daycare for 5 days. She was always happy to jump out of the car and run up the driveway to great Jodi at the door. She was very accommodating with our time schedule. Elsie had lots of play time and enjoyed her afternoon naps on the comfy sofas. We would definitely recommend Jodi to care for your pets.”

“This was our second visit to Jeffery’s farm and my dogs got so excited when we rounded the corner! My 2 dogs, Birdie, a pittie mix , age 2 and our new gal Pippa, a 5 month old chihuahua mix enjoyed their visit. Jefferey is a natural caregiver and I feel confident that my babies are in the best hands. Jefferey even did an ink and paw print project with my girls and presented the girls will harvest bandanas as a parting gift. Don’t hesitate to book Jefferey for a visit. You will have piece of mind and your pups will thank you!”

“Doggy daycare at Sara’s house was wonderful. They spoiled my dog. He loved playing with the other dogs and chickens too. She sent me lots of pictures and updates all day. I didn’t have to worry about a thing! My dog was exhausted when he got home from playing and exploring all day.”

“Andriana was great with Monte while we went to the PGA tournament this weekend. He had a great time playing outside and went on a walk. Thanks again, we will definitely be using her again if we are back in Rochester.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 197 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Pultneyville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pultneyville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 197 sitters in Pultneyville, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
