Maria is especially good at coaxing our dog out on walks when the pup doesn't want to go. We also appreciate that she submits Rover cards for each visit and leaves the house exactly as she found it. We feel so much better about being at work all day knowing Maria is spending time with our dog.

Manuela has been such a blessing to my dogs and my family. She was an emotional support when one of my dogs almost had to be put down and she believed with me every step of the way that his life could be saved and it was. She has become a shoulder to cry on and a friend. She is exceptional with my dogs, young and old and has an incredible, friendly personality that can warm any child and dog. She is compassionate, caring, nurturing and professional and her wonderful personality is a magnet for my family. I would highly recommend her.

This was my first time using Rover because I’ve always been terrified of the idea of strangers taking care of my dog yet alone going into my home while I’m not there to care for my dog but Claire made me feel comfortable! Her kind energy, quick responses and love for animals made it easy for me to choose her. My dog absolutely loved her! I will be rebooking with Claire in the future.

Liza is great! Most importantly, our Abby loves her and Liza likes Abby an awful lot, too. Liza is reliable, responsive to questions and keeps me informed. She has been so kind during a family member’s serious health problems. Because they were hospitalized unexpectedly, there was and the uncertainty of how long the overnights booking would last since it was dependent on how things went after surgery.

About: Hi. I know it can be a bit scary allowing someone in your home to care for your 4 legged baby. I am a very trustworthy, responsible individual. I have just moved to Washington State. I have happily been pet sitting for over 20 years. I've cared for animals of all ages and special needs. I am also comfortable administering medication by pill or injection. I listen closely to what the pet owners are looking for so that I will meet the needs of their precious pet. I understand how important good communication is with owners especially during vacation care so daily notes or messages are done. Animals bring me so much joy so I feel very lucky to spend my days doing what I love. Pet sitting is my full time job so I'm available for daily dog walks, occasional walks, playtime, vacation care and drop ins. I try to be a flexible as possible to meet your needs. Your home will always be treated with respect. I pay attention to detail therefore if you have a dog they will be kept safe on walks and if you have a cat they will be safe and secure in your home upon arrival and departure. No matter what kind of pet you have they will be handled with great love and care.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and currently have two dogs and two cats of my own. I started walking dogs at 12 years old and spent multiple summers walking dogs to earn money for trips. Since I was 13, I have also provided in-home dog sitting for various families. I have hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playtime, cleaning up after pets, and providing attentive care while owners are away. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Because I work part-time as a backup, my schedule has great built-in flexibility. While my exact hours can vary week to week, pet care is a top priority for me, and I can easily adapt to fit your pet's needs. I am available for early morning, evening, and weekend care, as well as flexible drop-in visits and house sitting. I always communicate my availability in advance and aim to accommodate your preferred feeding, walking, and care routines as smoothly as possible. Safety and peace of mind are my absolute top priorities when caring for your pets in your home. I strictly follow all owner instructions to maintain your pet's regular routine and keep them feeling secure in their home environment. I pay close attention to safety during walks, double-check that doors and gates are secure, and ensure hazardous items stay out of reach. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
