Kelsey was very communicative and kept me updated on my puppy's social progress. She arrived very shy and returned the next day with confidence. Thank you, Kelsey, for creating an environment that helped Lila come out of her shell!

We appreciate the communication and flexibility provided esp with a late scramble with another sitter this past couple of weeks. And, most importantly, we were confident our big fur-baby was happy and taken care of with walks and more!

About: Although I’ve never been paid to care for an animal, I assure that I’m well aware of how to take care of puppies to elderly dogs. I have two little fur balls of my own, they are brother and sister and I’ve been lucky to have had them since they were puppies. They both are truly bonded and I cannot imagine not having them around. I also have had bunnies that I adored so much. I never used to like reptiles until my boyfriend’s bearded dragon. He is absolutely adorable and I love love love when I come over and I can see him! It brings me joy getting to know all sorts of different pets and how similar they are to people. I do love all pets but a dog has always been my favorite animal out of them all. I love how they’re never like the other and the love they give without wanting anything in return. At any function or family event, if there’s a dog, I’m more than likely going to be around him/her all day lol. I'm always so happy when I see dogs come into my work, they truly make my day. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always wanted a dog to call my own, a dog I could have adventures with, a dog who I could spoil endlessly, a dog to call my best friend and be there every step of the way. I am 24, I am a brand new homeowner, and cannot wait to have a dog of my own soon… So for now I’d love to help you and your fur baby out until that time! Since I am currently working part time I thought this was the chance to make some money doing something I love, taking care of dogs! My schedule is not consistent but I normally work 3 days a week. My calendar will always be up to date so you know my availability! If you have any questions, always feel free to ask! Thank you;) When it comes to anyone’s animal, I will always treat them like my own. I will always be paying attention to what they do and how they react in situations so nothing happens. Takings walks, giving meals/medicine, cleaning up after them, making sure they aren’t in any danger, looking after them at all times, and being able to keep them comfortable with me is always going to be my priority.

About: What sets me apart from others sitters is the unconditional love that I have for animals in plural, the space they have in my heart. I’m mostly at home, I’m in my second trimester of pregnancy, and I’m most of the time alone because my husband works. Here to help. I just moved to a new apartment and the environment is very friendly, is comfortable, and very peaceful. I speak English and Spanish. Everyone’s welcome.

About: I've been training and caring for dogs professionally for over 15 years. I enjoy caring for dogs and enriching their lives through exercise and training. If your dog needs a walk while you're at work, or you need vacation care for your pets, I'm here for you and your pets. I have trained and titled dogs in Obedience, Rally, Agility and Tricks. I am also a Certified Assistance dog trainer. Along with walks and drop-ins, I also offer day training services that we can discuss at our initial meet and greet, if you're interested in me training with your dog during the day as part of, or instead of, a walk. Walking and training is my full-time job. I'm available weekdays, and some weekends. I'd love to care for your dog while you're at work or away. Exercise, play and train with dogs during the day while their humans are away. Reinforcing good behavior is my specialty. I love training walks and fun training sessions to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated. If you'd like, I can incorporate training into any of my visits for an additional fee. Reach out for more information. I utilize the dogs food and toys to positively reinforce good behaviors that we'd like to see more of. I work on the basics and fun tricks and skills, not behavior problems or aggression.

About: Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m the owner of Unleashed Peaks, a full-time dog training and behavior coaching business built on calm communication, structure, and trust. Along with training, I also offer structured boarding and daycare in a peaceful, home-style environment where dogs can relax, play, and learn safely. Because I’m a trainer first, everything I do — from playgroups to potty breaks — is intentional. Dogs get enrichment, exercise, and clear routines that build confidence while keeping things fun and low-stress. I follow LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) principles to make sure every dog feels safe, understood, and respected. I love working with all types of dogs, especially those who need a little extra support or structure while you’re away. Whether your pup is here for the day or a full board and train, they’ll be treated like family. Quirks, goofiness, and all. My goal is simple: for you to come home to a happy, relaxed, and well-adjusted dog who’s had a fulfilling stay and maybe learned a few new skills along the way. I’m home full-time and spend most of my day working with dogs through my business, Unleashed Peaks. Because training and structured care are what I do every day, your dog is never left unattended for long and always part of a calm, consistent routine. Drop-offs and pick-ups are flexible - mornings and early afternoons usually work best, but I’m happy to coordinate around your schedule. Whether your pup is here for daycare or boarding, they’ll get a balance of play, enrichment, rest, and individualized attention throughout the day. Dogs in my care stay in a calm, structured, and enrichment-based environment that helps them feel secure and relaxed. My home is designed with safety in mind, with separate rest areas, and consistent supervision. We have 5 acres of land. Our fence is in progress right now but we have never had an issue! As a full-time trainer, I understand canine body language and group dynamics deeply. I make sure each dog’s play, rest, and social time match their comfort level. New dogs are introduced slowly and respectfully so they can settle in at their own pace. I keep routines predictable and communication clear so dogs always know what to expect. Whether they are here for a day or an extended stay, every dog is treated like family: safe, understood, and cared for.

About: Growing up on a farm set the stage for providing and caring for all sorts of animals. Many years spent showing horses, lambs, goats, market hogs and all sorts of small animals in 4H. After college I started working with standardbred race horses as a groom. Since then for the past 6 years I have worked with racehorses, broodmares and foals. All the while keeping my loyal canines happy. Since having a sweet baby boy in April, I have quit my full time job. On occasion I still work for my fiancé and his families racehorse stable. I am looking to add some fun and exciting new friends to my daily routine! My family and our two dogs Brandi a 6 year old mountain cur / beagle mix and Iggy a 6 month old mini Aussie/beagle mix live in a quite neighborhood with a recently added privacy that backs up to a woods. Our home is secured by Nest security cameras. Your family members would be welcomed into our home or given their own privacy room or kennel depending on their individual needs. If your 4 legged family member is more comfortable staying at their own home, playing in their own yard and walks in a familiar neighborhood, I also offer that!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Prospect

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 413 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Prospect. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Prospect commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 413 sitters in Prospect, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
