About: I have always had dogs and have hade a wide variety of breeds throughout my life. I have always loved animals in general but especially dogs. I am that person who will find the dog at a party and spend my entire time loving on him/her. I have a decent sized fenced in back yard. I keep my dogs inside most of the day unless they want to be outside. Food and water is always available to them! My children are very well manadered with dogs and enjoy throwing the ball for them to play fetch or digging in our sand box with them. I have experience with special needs dogs and giving injections. I am a former vet tech as well. I’m a stay-at-home mom with two school-aged children, which allows me the flexibility to offer consistent and attentive care for your pets. I share my home with two senior dogs and a young cat, so I fully understand the unique needs that come with different ages and personalities. My availability is open throughout most of the day, with the only exceptions being school drop-off and pick-up times. I usually have childcare available, so schedule flexibility is rarely an issue. If anything ever comes up that requires a change during a visit, I will always reach out and communicate with you in advance. While it’s very rare, if I absolutely must bring my children during a visit, it would only be under extreme circumstances—and never without your permission. I prioritize your pet’s comfort and well-being and do everything I can to ensure a calm, stress-free experience during every visit. When I’m caring for your pets in your home, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. With my background as a former veterinary technician, I tend to be a little more cautious and attentive to pet safety standards—because even small details can make a big difference. For example, during the hotter months, I limit outdoor time for dogs unless they are outdoor-only pets. I’m happy to take them on short walks to do their business, but I avoid long walks in the heat, as hot pavement can burn their paws and extreme temperatures can quickly exhaust them—especially if they aren’t used to extended outdoor time. In cooler weather, I’m more than happy to extend walks or spend extra time playing outside if they enjoy it. Before I leave any visit, I always double-check that your pet’s space is secure and safe—whether that’s ensuring gates are latched, food and water are topped off, or checking that the environment is calm and comfortable. You can trust that your pet will be in caring, responsible hands every time I visit.
“I was having a difficult time scheduling someone to walk Milo. Victoria and I were able to do a quick phone chat to discribe Milo’s route and my location. Everything turned out great for Milo.”

About: Hi! My love for animals began at a very young age and I can't remember when pets haven't been a part of my life. I am a proud pet mama to Roxy, an English lab. I have several references who will gladly speak of my compassion and abilities to care for animals and my dedication. I provide the utmost quality pet care for responsible pet parents. As a pet lover myself, I understand the difficulty of finding someone who will care for your pets. My clients can rest assured that they will be provided the highest degree of professionalism and heartfelt pet care for their four-legged family members. I work from my home full time, so I will be available to meet your beloved fur baby's needs. I recently relocated from Austin, TX, where I had a very successful Rover business for 6 years. Please read my reviews, and I have Rover Star Sitter status. I have a fenced yard that is great for dogs to play in. I can also do walks if requested. Senior dog experience as well as oral medication.
“Meagan was GREAT! She took excellent care of my special needs dogs and kept me updated on how they were doing throughout my trip. She even brought something to my notice that she and I hadn’t specifically discussed. She washed the towels and sheets before she left and even took out the trash and recycling for me. SUCH a good sitter! Will definitely rebook.”

“Jackie went above and beyond for my kitties! I really appreciated the consistent updates and her care and attention for my cats, especially with the one who becomes aggressive when bored or stressed. She also left the house in spotless condition. Many thanks! :)”

“Reven did a great job house sitting and taking care of my pets. Both pets received a lot of care and attention and she followed my instructions and kept me updated the whole time. Quick response time and everything went smooth.”

“Amanda was very attentive to our 2 dogs while we are vacation. Always keeping us posted of their days and whereabouts. She even asked questions if something might not be normal behavior for our pet. Very honest, professional, and informative. She’s a keeper for sitting out pets. Thank you Amanda!”

About: Biology college graduate with a deep love for animals. I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals ever since I was little, from lizards, lovebirds, turtles, and of course the humble cat and dog! Pet and house sitting has been an on and off job I’m always happy to help with, let me know what you need, and I’ll be more than happy to work with you and your little ones! I’m currently a freelance artist, and help my elderly parents at home. Whether you need me to stop by or need me to hunker down while you’re away, I’ll be there! Having taken care of all kinds of fur babies, I’m very aware of all things that need to be monitored to make sure your pet is safe and happy! I’ll be sure that little mouths only eat what’s safe for them, and make sure little noses aren’t where they shouldn’t be! I also take pride in making sure your pet is comfortable and happy, earning their trust so there’s no unnecessary stress.
About: Two years with rover ✨✨🤩 I’ve taken care of my dogs for about 9 years now. Over the years I’ve learned so much “dog language” and needs dogs have in order to stay happy. I’ve taken care of friends, family’s, and clients pets as they relied on me to train a puppy, feed their pets, take them outside for playtime, and much more. I’m currently a part-time associate but I don’t go in too long or often. I have plenty of available time to play/care for my pets and possibly others. I have two small dogs so I’m definitely open to care for more. ❗️Flea season. It’s recommended to have flea preventative medication for your pets :) 💊I have a fenced yard and two small, friendly dogs who are playful. I have my dogs by my side at all times because it’s important that they are supervised in order to ensure their needs are met.

About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and know how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. I currently have four Dalmatians of my own, so I’m very comfortable with active, energetic dogs, but I’ve also had smaller dogs who lived long lives with me. I especially enjoy spending time with puppies, senior dogs, and pets who need a little extra patience and attention. What sets me apart is the way I care for each pet as an individual. I’m patient, attentive, reliable, and active, and I take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, and what makes them comfortable. Whether your dog needs a good walk and playtime, a senior pet needs a slower pace and extra attention, or your cat simply wants some quiet companionship, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I know it can be stressful leaving your pets with someone new, so my goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and daycare in your pet’s home environment, so they can stay comfortable in a familiar place while getting the attention and care they deserve. Pet care is something I’d love to make a regular part of my weekly routine. I’m looking for consistent opportunities to care for pets and build long-term relationships with both pets and their owners. I’m dependable and able to plan my schedule around my clients’ needs. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in visits, dog walking, and daycare in the pet’s home, and I’m happy to work with owners who need recurring or ongoing care. My goal is to provide consistent, dependable care so your pet can become familiar and comfortable with me. I value building trust over time and becoming someone you feel confident relying on for your pet’s care. I am also available nights and weekends for now. When caring for your pets in your home, my priority is keeping them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I’ll follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, medications, potty breaks, playtime, and any special needs your pet may have. I’m attentive to doors, gates, leashes, and anything else that could affect your pet’s safety. I also take the time to get to know your pet’s personality and comfort level rather than assuming every pet needs the same type of care. I understand that I’m also being trusted with your home, so I’ll treat it with the same respect and care I would want someone to show my own home. I’ll keep things clean, secure, and in the condition I found them. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing and can have peace of mind knowing they’re being well cared for.
“Claudia was fantastic, went above and beyond for our girl. She was super responsive and sent pictures and videos throughout the day. We will definitely be having her come stay again, she made leaving our dog a breeze. 🩷”

“Megan was an ideal house sitter. She followed all instructions for my slightly high maintenance reactive girl, was communicative, and left the house better than she found it. Will definitely book again!”

“We had peace of mind on our vacation. Rubi sent us daily pics and updates. The girls seemed to be happy and at ease with her. Rubi is a very sweet girl we felt comfortable with her since the meet and greet. We will definitely book her again! Thank you Rubi ! :)”

“Starr was great. She communicated throughout the time. She did extra things in the home cleaning. She was consistent and compassionate with my doggos. She made traveling so much easier for me. Recommend.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Primera walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Primera maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Primera choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
