“Super sweet and treated my pets like they were her own! Came to some very content little ladies. Tessie has fantastic communication and handled their meds professionally as well. Will definitely be using her again in the future!”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for my family for the past three years. I walk them, feed them, let them out to potty and I play with them. I also have a dog of my own. Her name is Isabella who is like a child to my husband and I. I have been around dogs my whole life. I am available on weekends and also some days during the week after 5 p.m.. I would walk, feed, play and give your pup my undivided attention. When I go to your home to walk your dog I would make sure your dog has his or her collar and leash on, and I will also feed and give water to your pup based on your feeding instructions. If your dog is kenneled I would make sure he or she is secured in the kennel.
“Christen did such an amazing job taking care of our dog and cat! I really appreciated the walks and photos. I definitely felt that Mango and Virgo were getting great care with Christen, allowing for me and my girls to have a wonderful vacation.”

“Daylen was so great with Otis! I tend to worry whenever we go out of town, especially since we’re new to the area, but I looked forward to getting all the pictures and videos during her check-in with him. Otis seemed to have a great time with her and that really helped me worry less. She had great communication the whole time and went out of her way with taking care of him. She is the best and we will definitely book again! :)”

“Mia is a wonderful pet sitter. She is always on time and spends all of the drop in time plus extra with your pet. Fancy loves her and anticipates her visits. Thank you Mia. We strongly recommend Mia.”

About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds since I can remember. I grew up with at least 3-4 dogs in my household at all times, volunteered at the local animal shelter to help take care of the overflow of dogs, fostered a litter of puppies, and of course the occasional dog sitting for a neighbor or family friend. I am currently working 2 part time jobs at the moment, but they usually include short days and hours. I am mostly available from mid afternoon to nighttime on any given day, especially weekends! Schedule is subject to change weekly. I have a big kennel in my home if it’s ever needed. I also have plenty of toys, treats, and other equipment like poop bags, leashes, or harnesses.
“Amanda took care of Binx again for us and was wonderful again. We highly recommend her - she is reliable and conscientious and we feel confident that Binx is VERY well cared for while we are away.”

About: I grew up with with at least 2 dogs (from chihuahuas all the way to Great Danes). I love going to the dog park with my pups and running around the yard with them. I also have experience in dog grooming. My family is in the process of renovating their house, so I unfortunately don’t have the space to board any animals, but in the next year I will have the space to board 5 animals. In our family our dogs aren’t pets they are family. I’d love to have the opportunity to get to know your fur babies and have play dates with my fur babies. Thank you for your time, and I can’t wait to get to know you and you fur family!
“Porsha was fantastic, well worth more than 5 stars! Not only did she provide expert care for our two senior kitties, she managed unexpected challenges with grace, humor & common sense. We were in the mountains & did not always have cell service, but she figured out solutions & problems solved! Porsha's communication skills were A+, a class act all the way. Porsha has our highest recommendation.”

“Lisa is wonderful. She and Fancy became friends immediately. Her love for animals and calm demeanor is exactly what we looked for when booking a drop in. She came on time and handled all of Fancy’s needs for food and water. Everything went perfectly. Fancy can’t wait for Lisa’s next drop in opportunity.”

“Eric took great care of our dog while we were away. He was very respectful of our home, as this was our first time using Rover. Our pet is a senior dog who can be grumpy at times, but he and Eric became besties over the course of his drop-in visits. I would definitely choose Eric again if we need this service again. Thanks again, Eric!”

About: I grew up in a house with 6 dogs and have taken care of 5 cats and 1 dog when I was living on my own. My schedule is pretty flexible for the next month, feel free to message me whenever with any questions, concerns or requests. I can almost always move around my schedule to make room. I always like to meet new pets and learn more about their personalities and take into account their individual needs and preferences when caring for them.
“Amazing sitter. Communicative, attentive, punctual and a real live Snow White. I had one of my cats pass away the day before she was to start her visits and it was breaking my heart to have to go in and remove him from the booking, she took charge and just did it for me. She just intuitively knew and I’m so thankful for that. I will absolutely use her anytime I have to go out of town again. I didn’t worry for a moment while I was gone. I just can’t say enough great things about her.”

About: I have years of hands on experience caring for dogs for friends, neighbors, and family, often stepping in for walks, feeding, and daily care when they're out of town. I'm dependable, detail oriented, and I make sure each dog's routine is followed so they stay comfortable and stress free while their owners are away. At home I have a mini schnauzer and a sheepadoodle, so I'm very familiar with both smaller, high energy personalities and larger, playful dogs. Managing both has taught me patience, consistency, and how to read different temperaments quickly. I'm comfortable adjusting to each dog's needs and making sure they get the right mix of exercise, attention, and care. I work in dental sales, which gives me a flexible schedule that I can easily work around pet care needs. I’m able to stop by for walks, feedings, and check-ins throughout the day and adjust my schedule as needed. This flexibility also allows me to take on regular or last-minute bookings and be reliable for pets and their owners. I follow each pet’s routine and instructions closely to keep things consistent and stress free. I handle feeding, walks, and basic care in the client’s home, and make sure pets get the attention and exercise they need based on their normal habits, personality, and daily routine.

We are so thankful for Amanda! She watches our sweet almost 1 year old kitten every time we go out of town! Our kitten who is shy at first, always warms up to her and enjoys cuddling with her. She is organized and always keeps us updated while she is away! Thank you, Amanda!!!

Otis and I love Daylen! She provides such good communication before, during, and after her drop in visits. She is great with Otis! She makes sure he is having a good time by playing with him with his toys and taking him for walks. She also makes sure he eats his food because sometimes he doesn’t like to when we’re out of town. She sends a lot of photos and videos to let me know how the pup is doing, which I love. :) We love her and try to request her for every time we’re out of town!

The photos and communication we receive are top notch. Porsha takes better pictures than we do of our dogs and more of them. Both dogs are perched at the door in the morning. I think waiting for her to get here. She is truly part of the family.! if anyone reading this review has had second thoughts about having someone to care for your dog please do not hesitate. It is life-changing to be able to find someone as fantastic as Porsha!
Kyler was not only incredibly sweet but she was wonderful with our pup on our weekend getaway. She sent us so many photos reassuring us that he was well taken care of and happy. It gave us absolute peace of mind. We will definitely be using her services again!

Mollie was a superstar sitter on my recent trip to Mexico. My house is on the market and, due to crosswires, a realtor showed up to give a tour without either of knowing about it and she handled it like a professional. She also sent me daily updates and pictures so I never felt guilty about leaving and was able to relax and enjoy my trip. We love Mollie! :) <3

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
