“Ashley was great. This was the first time having a sitter for my 3 dogs. She had a total of 5 visits over 3 days. Ashley was on time & quick to respond with pictures of all 3 dogs plus 2 cats. I will book her again.”

“Mia is great. She immediately bonded with Fancy and her services were top notch. She is very prompt arriving each day when we asked. She took care of Fancy’s food and water each day. When I had to stay away longer she gladly took the extra day and told me how to add it to my Rover order. She communicated with us each day with texts and photos. She immediately replied to any questions we had. We would strongly recommend Mia for your pet.”

“Tessie is awesome! She takes excellent care of Zoe. I get a great summary of Zoe’s day and she follows all of my instructions. She even modifies according to Zoe’s needs when it makes sense.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for my family for the past three years. I walk them, feed them, let them out to potty and I play with them. I also have a dog of my own. Her name is Isabella who is like a child to my husband and I. I have been around dogs my whole life. I am available on weekends and also some days during the week after 5 p.m.. I would walk, feed, play and give your pup my undivided attention. When I go to your home to walk your dog I would make sure your dog has his or her collar and leash on, and I will also feed and give water to your pup based on your feeding instructions. If your dog is kenneled I would make sure he or she is secured in the kennel.
About: I grew up with with at least 2 dogs (from chihuahuas all the way to Great Danes). I love going to the dog park with my pups and running around the yard with them. I also have experience in dog grooming. My family is in the process of renovating their house, so I unfortunately don’t have the space to board any animals, but in the next year I will have the space to board 5 animals. In our family our dogs aren’t pets they are family. I’d love to have the opportunity to get to know your fur babies and have play dates with my fur babies. Thank you for your time, and I can’t wait to get to know you and you fur family!
“Daylen was very accommodating with meeting before hand with my crazy schedule! She communicated each visit with lots of details and spent time with each of my pets individually! She sent lots of pictures each day and kept me very updated! Would definitely recommend!”

“Christen did such an amazing job taking care of our dog and cat! I really appreciated the walks and photos. I definitely felt that Mango and Virgo were getting great care with Christen, allowing for me and my girls to have a wonderful vacation.”

“On time and very thorough, plus my animals loved Katie from the very moment they met her!! If I ever need animal care again I’ll definitely re-book if she’s available 😊”

“Lisa did a fantastic job with our dog, Dewey. Not only was she on time and kept us informed every visit, she also went out of her way to give him special treats to help with storm anxiety. I highly recommend Lisa as your next Rover sitter!”
About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds since I can remember. I grew up with at least 3-4 dogs in my household at all times, volunteered at the local animal shelter to help take care of the overflow of dogs, fostered a litter of puppies, and of course the occasional dog sitting for a neighbor or family friend. I am currently working 2 part time jobs at the moment, but they usually include short days and hours. I am mostly available from mid afternoon to nighttime on any given day, especially weekends! Schedule is subject to change weekly. I have a big kennel in my home if it’s ever needed. I also have plenty of toys, treats, and other equipment like poop bags, leashes, or harnesses.
“Eric took great care of our dog while we were away. He was very respectful of our home, as this was our first time using Rover. Our pet is a senior dog who can be grumpy at times, but he and Eric became besties over the course of his drop-in visits. I would definitely choose Eric again if we need this service again. Thanks again, Eric!”

“Mrs. Porsha’s personality is second to none! You can tell she loves what she does and it showed in the quality of her visit. I was nervous having never used Rover, but after meeting her I was happy to leave my puppy in her hands. I think it’s safe to say my puppy felt the same!”

About: I’ve owned 3 dogs throughout my life and they have taught me that I am an absolute lover of all dogs. I’ve had a German Shepherd/Pit Bull mix, a Boxer, and a Shih Tzu. I am comfortable with ALL dog sizes. Last summer I had the privilege of being able to job shadow my dogs vet at her All Pets Animal Hospital which was a very interesting and unique experience. Since starting college, I have started volunteering with an animal shelter to walk and take care of dogs, giving me experiences with young dogs and old, hyper and anxious etc. I am currently an intern at an animal shelter for the summer. I assist the vet techs with tasks such as giving dogs and cats their medicine, give vaccines, prep them for surgery, etc. As of now, I do work a summer job along with my internship but it does allow time for pet sitting. As my job isn’t full time and my internship is only a few days a week. Being able to fill in the extra time taking care of dogs and cats would keep me occupied until I return to school on the fall. I have had a few animals of my own over the years. I treat all dogs as if they were my own because I know I would want the same treatment if I had a pet sitter. They deserve love, respect and comfort. I will respect their boundaries while making sure they get everything they need plus some.
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in Prairieville is $20

We are so thankful for Amanda! She watches our sweet almost 1 year old kitten every time we go out of town! Our kitten who is shy at first, always warms up to her and enjoys cuddling with her. She is organized and always keeps us updated while she is away! Thank you, Amanda!!!

Otis and I love Daylen! She provides such good communication before, during, and after her drop in visits. She is great with Otis! She makes sure he is having a good time by playing with him with his toys and taking him for walks. She also makes sure he eats his food because sometimes he doesn’t like to when we’re out of town. She sends a lot of photos and videos to let me know how the pup is doing, which I love. :) We love her and try to request her for every time we’re out of town!

The photos and communication we receive are top notch. Porsha takes better pictures than we do of our dogs and more of them. Both dogs are perched at the door in the morning. I think waiting for her to get here. She is truly part of the family.! if anyone reading this review has had second thoughts about having someone to care for your dog please do not hesitate. It is life-changing to be able to find someone as fantastic as Porsha!
Kyler was not only incredibly sweet but she was wonderful with our pup on our weekend getaway. She sent us so many photos reassuring us that he was well taken care of and happy. It gave us absolute peace of mind. We will definitely be using her services again!

Mollie was a superstar sitter on my recent trip to Mexico. My house is on the market and, due to crosswires, a realtor showed up to give a tour without either of knowing about it and she handled it like a professional. She also sent me daily updates and pictures so I never felt guilty about leaving and was able to relax and enjoy my trip. We love Mollie! :) <3

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
