(In terms of actual reference, i have a dog and cat that she has cared for for me for almost a decade) Take my word for it, your pet will be in GREAT hands!”

We had a few rotations of sitters to cover the several weeks we were gone (family and a neighbor), and Valerie was definitely the most experienced of them all. Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. About: Over the past fifteen years, I have provided all levels of care for pets of many kinds. Throughout high school and college, I worked at a commercial horse barn feeding, providing basic first-aid, turning horses in and out, and cleaning stalls. In addition to my extensive experience with horses, I have also owned and cared for several dogs, including a few fosters that have come through my home over the years. I currently have two of my own cats (Mia and Gus), a long term foster cat (Junior), and a golden retriever (Riggs). I currently work full-time as a Research Scientist at a local biotech company. I am able to provide services on weekends mostly, but I am also available early mornings and later in the evening as needed. Mostly able to provide care in owners' homes; however, my condo is near a large field on the Connecticut River, which is a great place for dog-walking.

About: Growing up with dogs, I've always had a love for taking care of and making sure all dogs - big or small - feel loved, safe, and comfortable. At previous places of work, I often watched my coworkers dogs in their homes while they were away. Whether its couch snuggles or early morning walks, I'm here for it! My ability to really listen to and hear what a dog needs sets me apart from other sitters; I firmly believe that there is so much more to a dog than people give them credit. They are such intelligent individuals with a raw sense of joy that it would be an absolute honor to get to spend time watching your furry friend! This fall, I am between full-time job commitments and my schedule is fairly flexible in terms of when I can take care of your furry friend! I am otherwise recording my first studio album - with ukulele and my voice so that is pretty exciting. While my current apartment does not allow me to board animals, I am more than happy to stay in your home and care for your pet! As I mentioned, I cannot currently offer boarding services -- but I am eager to help out and take care of a pet in a client's home (check-ins/overnights). Not only will I be respectful of the space itself, but I will also be sure to attune to the needs of the dog in their home as I am a guest while I am there. This includes learning all necessary information head of time about the home, how to access needed things, and asking any lingering questions so that there is no question of your pet's comfort and safety in your time away.

As an adult she has worked many different places individual people and at a rescue daycare for dogs and basically took over for the owner and ran the place giving each dog her tender loving care. She’s firm and commanding but absolutely loving and gentle. You would be fortunate to have Sara take care of your baby.”
