“Sam is truly the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. Our pups absolutely adored her and had the most wonderful time. She didn’t just board them — she welcomed them into her home and treated them like family. They had endless space to play, explore, and burn off energy, and it was clear they loved every minute of it. Sam was incredibly patient with my rescue pup, too. He’s usually very shy, but she took the time to help him warm up, and he ended up so happy and completely in love with her. We honestly wouldn’t want anyone else caring for our dogs. She’s amazing!”

“Christina and Jason were lovely folks to meet, and Emma, my pup, sure agrees! Emma had a great time and I loved seeing updates of their time together. 10/10 would recommmend!”

“Joseph was wonderful with my dog. He made it a point to build trust with her before introducing her to the other puppers in his home. He sent frequent pictures and updates during her stay. I was able to enjoy my time out of town knowing sunny was being well cared for the entire time. Communication was always easy and timely. She had all of her items with her when I picked her up and she was happy and healthy. I would 100% recommend Joseph and would return as a repeat customer!”

“My dog Ziggy was well cared for, many videos and updates, recommend Gwynn highly. The property is beautiful so Ziggy had all the exercise he needed. Thank you Gwynn! The communication before during and after was easy and responsive.”

About: Growing up around a wide variety of animals has given me the skills and passion needed to be an attentive and responsible carer of all kinds of pets. I've owned several dogs, cats, rodents, and horses. I was responsible for administering medications, accommodating pets with special needs, becoming attuned to various behaviors and habits, and adhering to specific individualized training methods. I'm currently working full-time from home as a customer service rep for a small, local company and mothering my 2 year old toddler (who is very gentle and respectful around all animals). I'm fortunately very flexible with my schedule and can accommodate both last-minute and long-term schedules! Being a sincere animal lover, I'm always enthusiastically willing to tend to the needs of any pets that are under my care. I believe that both people and animals benefit from living in a clean and comfortable space, so I seek to maintain and accommodate that kind of positive atmosphere in your pet's home.
“Benjamin and Laura did such a wonderful job taking care our 4-year-old dog over a holiday weekend. They were professional, responsible, kind, and flexible. They were also very responsive, quickly responding to our questions/comments and sending frequent text updates and pictures, which really put us at ease while we were out of town. Our dog had a fantastic time with and got along well with their two dogs. We highly recommend Benjamin and Laura to anyone looking for a dogsitter in the area, and we would absolutely use them again the next time we're in need of a dogsitter. Thank you for everything!”

“Steve is awesome! He’s so nice and really knows his stuff when it comes to dogs. He sent lots of photos and kept us updated throughout the stay, which made me feel great while Mango was with him. Mango had a really good time and came home happy and tired. We’ll definitely be booking with Steve again!”

“AnnaRose was fantastic. She was flexible on pickup and drop off, very communicative, took note of my special requests, and took great care of Harper. Harper really enjoyed her walks in the woods and playing in the snow with AnnaRose’s other dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Michele was the perfect host for our goldendoodle while we were in the area for graduation weekend. Based on the photos she sent me, he appeared to enjoy looking at the wildlife out her windows, going for walks with her dog and stretching out on her sofa. Michele was very flexible about drop off and pickup times as well. A great experience for everyone!”

About: I have had many breeds and ages of dogs my whole life. I look forward to assisting you with your best friend. From feeding to training and walks to the river I can’t wait to meet your best friend. Need more than dog care? I have plenty of experience with all sorts of farm animals! Currently have a flexible schedule and looking to add more dogs to my dog walk. I have a great spot to take by my house or we could head to some more well known trails. Your pup can come hang in my fenced in yard and join my pups in watching the chickens roam around. Otherwise we can stay in the comfort of their own space.

“Diana was a fabulous host! She was very responsive throughout the whole process and was really helpful in working with us to make arrangements for our 2 dogs for a long-term stay. One of our dogs had a pre-existing health problem flare up during their stay, and Diana notified us immediately and went above and beyond in making the necessary arrangements and keeping us informed. We will definitely be using Diana again!”
“Jericho had a wonderful week-long stay with Kevin, and we loved the easy communication, flexibility, and pictures that Kevin sent. During the stay, Jericho seemed to be right at home with Kevin's other dogs, and got to go to some of his favourite parks and off-leash trails. We've already re-booked for next time, and we highly recommend Kevin!”
“Ann is not just a dog-sitter. She is someone who understands every dog is different, and gives special attention to meet their needs and make sure they are loved. She spent extra time to sooth our nervous rescue dog Cleo, and bring her out of her shell until she was comfortable running around playing with the other sweet dogs at Ann’s home. She has a perfect set-up with nice backyard, and lounging area inside with lots of sun. Her many updates and photos gave us peace-of-mind that our dog was happy and well cared for during our time away. We will definitely be back!”

“Jessica was fantastic, watching with our 8yo pup while we were at a celebration in Vermont for the weekend! She was even able to take him out for a long walk/hike and sent pics—he had a great time. We will definitely seek her out next time we are in the area and need overnight care.”

“Absolutely fantastic! Lika is kind, and truly gifted with animals. She helped put my worried mind at ease with so many photos and videos! She is truly a professional, and her home is like a vacation for your pets- where they are pampered and well taken care of. Thank you 1000 times Lika!!!”

About: Hi my name is Sean. I recently graduated from RIT with a BFA in illustration. I love all animals and currently have a lot of flexibility to care for your pets while I am working from home. I grew up with two labradoodles and I have also cared for friends' animals while they have been away. One of my dogs has Addison's disease, so I am familiar with giving medication to pets. Spending time with animals brings me joy and does not seem like work - I enjoy playing with your animals, going on walks and I give a great belly rub! I am extremely responsible and will love your animals like my own...you might also find some sketches of your pet when you return home. I am an artist that is currently working from home in Quechee. I am extremely flexible and am available during the week and on weekends. I make my own hours so can work around your schedule. I live with my parents and two friendly labradoodles ages 8 and 12. I could board a dog in my home if he/she gets along well with other dogs and is house-trained. I prefer to care for your animals in your own home: I can do drop-in visits, walks and daytime or overnight house-sitting.
“We loved working with Isabella to take care of our sweet fur baby. She immediately put our new dog parent worries at ease by applying effective, efficient communication and giving photos/updates throughout his boarding experience. Would highly recommend to others and will use her services again in the future.”

“Payton did drop in visits for our two cats while we went on a two week vacation. She was great with communication and sending photos for each visit. The cats were well taken care of while we were away. I recommend Payton as a friendly and reliable person. Thanks Payton!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets of all energy levels and ages for over 10 years, ranging from energetic puppies to anxious seniors. I’ve had my own dogs for 15 years, and I love spending time with all pets whenever I get the chance! I’m also happy to care for cats and/or exotic pets. If you're looking for an attentive, reliable, and gentle pet sitter, I'm your person! I'm currently residing in the Upper Valley, and I work daily as a high school teacher. I can provide check-ins and walks during the afternoon. I’m not able to keep animals in my own home, but I am more than happy to stay in your home overnight to keep your pets comfortable.
“Lexi is wonderful! We had a meet and greet and a drop in visit for a walk so far! "Tessa" our doberman pincher loves Lexi, we just say her name and Tessa is looking for her!! Rover is awesome aswell, we can trac the walk and received a picture after. We can't say enough as to how comfortable this has been! Looking forward to Lexi and her positive and comfortable professional nature!”

About: I've cared for cats of all ages and personalities, from playful kittens to senior cats. I'm attentive, patient, and understand that every cat has unique needs. Whether it's feeding, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, or simply keeping them company, I'll make sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away.
“We are especially grateful for Evelyn’s flexibility when we needed a last minute change for the additional visits per day. She was very accommodating and handled everything smoothly. Her reliability and kindness gave us great peace of mind. Would absolutely book again.”

“Courtney is absolutely wonderful to work with!! Two of our cats are on medication every 12 hours and she jumped in and learned their routine so quickly! She did a fabulous job administering insulin, an inhaler and a pill! Courtney kept us updated and sent cute photos each visit. Thank you Courtney for taking such great care of our kitties, we appreciate you!”

“Katie did an awesome job looking after my cats while I was away! She was super sweet, and both kitties were well taken care of—even my shy cat came out a few times while she was dropping in to check on them throughout the week!”

“Caitlin was prompt and attentive. I appreciated the daily photos. Max looked relaxed and content. It was great to have our senior kitty looked after in our home, since he doesn’t like to travel at all.”

About: If my rates are an obstacle in caring for your pet then I’m happy to provide a sliding scale and have a discussion upon request. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. I love exercising animals as much as it is tolerated by them. I currently work per diem as a staff nurse in Lebanon NH which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets. I am happy to abide by your house rules and expectations for your pet(s). I enjoy walks to dog parks, trails, playing in fenced yards and practicing obedience and tricks!
“Julia was great with my cats! Her drop in visits were much appreciated and she made sure my cats were fed, had clean water, and clean litter. She left the place clean and made sure to check in with me about any questions. We really appreciated her help!”
“Hariala was very responsive and timely in communicating. She took good care of our cat during holiday and the cold storms, and helped us get food refill when the feeder was running low. Excellent sitter!”

“Sue took great care of Rocky while we were away. He's an old cat and he worries a lot when we're gone, but he looked happy and relaxed when we returned. The house looked great too! I'll definitely book Sue again.”

“Samantha was a wonderful companion for my cat Cameo. This was her first visit. She came twice a day for three days. She spent about an hour here each time and in addition to food, water, litter Samantha spent time with Cameo and kept her company. She played with Cameo and brushed her and Cameo responded with love. I adopted Cameo six months ago and she has gradually warmed to her new life with me. When I returned from being away Cameo was even a little more relaxed and friendly than before I left. Cameo and I look forward to the next time Samantha comes to visit in June.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and have done house sitting for 4 years. I love doing this kind of stuff. I can walk them, go for walks all that fun stuff. Im doing babysitting right now but can house sit whenever and can be with the dogs/cats whenever. I am always free to take them out whenever needed. I will watch pets in your home and or/ stay in your home for house sitting overnight. I will keep them safe and follow any rules.
About: I have had dogs in my life since I can remember, from family dogs to dog sitting for friends in high school, to now owning my own two little creatures. I am knowledgeable and comfortable with high-anxiety dogs and leash-reactive dogs (one of mine is both of these and more!) and am comfortable and confident with all sizes, breeds, and ages. There's nothing better than plugging into a good podcast and taking a nice, long walk with a furry friend. I have experience with all types of dogs, especially bully breed dogs (pit bulls, boxers, etc) and everything from high anxiety dogs to puppies to elder care dogs. I can administer oral medication, and have given humans shots before so with some owner coaching, would definitely be comfortable administering injected medication if needed. I'm currently working part time, so I have lots of time to take your pup on a walk during the day or hang with them while you’re out of town. I live in Burlington, VT, but I'm willing to travel. I am happy to come to your home where your dog is already comfortable and familiar. Having two dogs who have utilized Rover for this reason, I believe it is the best option for some high-anxiety dogs not to be put into an unfamiliar situation when their parents are gone. I am also available for drop in visits and/or neighborhood walks during the weekday! There’s nothing better than plugging in a podcast and taking a long walk with a pup!

“Sean is an excellent dog daycare provider. He is personable, kind and very reliable. Hamish loved not only Sean, but also Sean’s family — which includes two Labradoodles, Penny and Finn, Hamish’s daily playmates around the family’s generous off-road property.”

About: Growing up, I have never been without a pet to come home to. I truly believe pets have the ability to alter someone’s life, and thus deserve the best care. I can assure you I will treat your pets with utmost care and love. I ran my own pet sitting business in high school, and am very comfortable with new dogs and cats. I am currently an M1 at Dartmouth med school. My schedule is quite flexible, just reach out for specific quests about your pet sitting needs. I live in a house with 5 other medical students so it’s difficult to host animals in my house but I am happy to stay in your home!
“Enzo loved his time at Joe’s for daycare. He came home super tired and played with the other pups quite a bit it seems. Lots of photos and info on his Rover card was awesome!”

“Kevin watched our pug for two days while we attended the Quechee Balloon Festival. He was incredibly flexible with our plans and let us stay out much longer than originally planned. Our pup had a good time, evidenced by the 2nd day when we dropped him off and he ran right to Kevin! The other dogs were a bit noisy and inquisitive but settled right down so it wasn’t a problem. Kevin sent a few photos and video which we much appreciated. If we were in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to leave our dog with Kevin once again.”

About: I have been caring for unwanted and wayward animals for 30 years. All of our pets have been adopted as strays, from shelters or rehoming. Now, I bring these years of experience and love to your furry family members. With a team of of veterinary providers, groomers and emergency contacts in place, you can rest assured that your pets will receive the best possible attention and care. Because I much prefer to care for animals than greet customers at a WalMart, I joined Rover as my retirement job :) It's a great way to pursue my love for dogs and cats. l'm almost always available with a little notice. My home is open to your dog. Jump up on the couch, sleep on the bed, no problem unless you prefer a more structured environment and routine. Your dog will be one of the family here and will have company most all of the time. I also offer a very nice space for cats or for dogs that do not get along well with others. Not a cage or kennel but a finished 20x20 heated and furnished room in my barn loft where we can play and visit one on one.
“Sarah and Ben are terrific hosts! Cooper felt right at home, loved playing with their sweet dog Bean, and had plenty of room to roam in their big backyard. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommend!”
“Annie was very nice and understanding when our daughter came down with a fever. Our pups seemed happy and well cared for when we picked them up. We'd happily book with Annie again!”

About: I've been caring for animals for over 11 years. I got my first family dog when I was 7 and my second dog at 13, giving me experience with dogs of different ages and personalities. About: Besides working at a dog groomers business as a dog bather, I have had pets all throughout my life and absolutely love being around animals! I am currently working at SORO elementary school. I work 8-3 but am looking to add on pet-sitting again since I miss working with animals! In my own home, I treat my pets as if they are my children. For my cat, I spend a lot of time with her, give her treats and kisses and make sure to frequently clean her litter box. I give her the highest care that I can. I also do this for my dog (who is my family-dog, so she gets extra love), and try to ensure that she gets enough social/play time throughout each day!

“Our Great Pyrénées had a great time at Sarah’s house. Her dog is the perfect playmate for Charlotte and the fenced in backyard gives her plenty of space to play freely and safely. Sarah was kind enough to send me pictures and give updates on how Charlotte was doing. Charlotte can be a picky and unpredictable eater so I really appreciated Sarah’s patience and perseverance during mealtimes. Charlotte and I look forward to her next overnight!”

“Harry had a blast with Katherine and her fur babies! I really appreciated Katherine welcoming Harry into her home as if he were her own and providing me updates on how he was doing throughout the weekend!”
