“My sister and I were heading to Stowe with our dogs for a ski trip when we found out the house wasn't dog friendly. Oh no! Luckily we found Gwynn who lives close to Stowe. She only takes two dogs at a time which was perfect for my dog and my sister's since they're best friends! Gwynn was great with initial introductions with my somewhat skittish dog and her dogs. We were in contact with her everyday with photos and a video of them frolicking in the snow. She always responded quickly via phone or text. After picking them up, our dogs ended up sleeping the entire next day from having too much fun. My dog in particular did not want to leave Gwynn's chickens! I would highly recommend Gwynn, especially if your dog needs personal attention, lots of exercise and outdoor time.”

She has a big fenced in yard. Yada yada yada. Tl;dr - she is dope, and I never have a second thought after dropping up my pups with her for up to a week stay while I'm away on business. We had a few rotations of sitters to cover the several weeks we were gone (family and a neighbor), and Valerie was definitely the most experienced of them all. Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. We'd highly recommend her if you want peace of mind that someone experienced and compassionate is taking care of your fur children!”

Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. I adopted Cameo six months ago and she has gradually warmed to her new life with me. When I returned from being away Cameo was even a little more relaxed and friendly than before I left. About: My parents and friends know they can rely on me for animal sitting. Ive taken care of dogs and cats consistently for 15 years. I have experience with all sized dogs for I’ve helped train my German Shepard and toy poodle alongside with my mom. I am going to be home until mid June but will back to animal in early August. I am very flexible with time as long as I am scheduled 3 days in advanced. The closest main road to my house is 3/4 of mile so cars won’t be an issue. I love trail walking and running which sometimes my dogs will accompany me; there are a lot of no car friendly trails to venture on. I do it all the time with my German Shepard and my neighbors German Shepard who are dog friendly. At home it is easy to give the dogs space to themselves for I have my own room where they can eat and sleep.

Besides personal experience, I am my friends and families go to person when it comes to pet-sitting. Walking, feeding, bathing… you name it! My patience and love for dogs will ensure your bff has a happy and safe time away from home. I currently am working from home. This means I can easily take pee breaks as often as needed. Additionally, I will be able to take longer breaks for a mid day stretch. After work, my schedule is free to play and entertain with the pups. I have a nice backyard with easily usable for pee breaks. The neighborhood I live in is small and quiet. I live alone in an house and don’t currently have any other pets.

About: Besides working at a dog groomers business as a dog bather, I have had pets all throughout my life and absolutely love being around animals! I am currently working at SORO elementary school. I work 8-3 but am looking to add on pet-sitting again since I miss working with animals! In my own home, I treat my pets as if they are my children. For my cat, I spend a lot of time with her, give her treats and kisses and make sure to frequently clean her litter box. I give her the highest care that I can. About: I have had dogs in my life my whole life, and your dogs will act like part of my family all the time! Your pup will come home happy and tired, perfect for the snuggles you want without making them tired! Get the fun without the work! I am so excited to meet your furry friend and make them my friend too. I have experience with puppies, older dogs, active dogs, and calm dogs. All dogs deserve to have a good long walk- but don’t forget about the sniffing! That’s important too! I am open to any suggestions and whatever way you want your dog to be cared for!
