About: With many years of experience caring for and loving animals, I’ve worked with everything from puppies, dogs, kittens, cats, and small animals like guinea pigs and bunnies to larger farm animals like horses and alpacas. I take pride in providing attentive, reliable care and always prioritize each animal’s well-being, comfort, and routine—whether they live in a cozy home or a barn. I have lots of free time during the day and am looking to spend it caring for animals so pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I place a massive emphasis on making sure that your furry companion feels comfortable and one way I do this is by keeping their routine as similar as possible to what they experience with their own owner.

“Isabelle is always very sweet and attentive with our older pup. We were excited to have her return for a drop in visit to care for both our older pup and her new puppy sister. She was very communicative and responsive, and I know the girls were well cared for. The picture updates were super cute and appreciated as well!”

About: Animals are my life— I’ve been a pet-sitter for most of it! I’ve had dogs and horses of my own, worked on a farm, at a zoo, and rehab facilities! I have two wonderful pups who are very friendly and welcoming. I just finished my graduate degree, moved to Portsmouth, and I’m currently looking for a career in marine conservation field. In the meantime, I’d love to watch your pets! I’m currently working for The Nature Conservancy, in-office only 2-3 days a week. My partner works from home and is able to help out with any needs if/when I’m away from the house. We spend a lot of time playing both inside and outside with the dogs, keeping the dogs entertained with new toys, chews, and puzzles. I have a partially fenced in yard, where my own dogs are trained to play within limits. If your dog can be trusted, I can do the same or keep them leashed!

About: Caring for animals is what I love to do. With an extensive background in animal care, I have worked at animal shelters, humane societies, zoos, aquariums, and many wildlife rehabilitation centers throughout my life. I have cared for animals of all shapes and sizes ranging from dogs to birds to tortoises and even to gorillas. Of course, I have had furry friends of my own and currently own the cutest little kitty, Sprout. I grew up with my childhood pups, Rosie and Moses. They always enjoyed cuddling up on the couch next to me, loved taking weekend trips to the dog park, and they especially always looked forward to some new fluffy toys that they could destroy. I don't want to use the term spoiled, but my animals are just that, and I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I just moved to the area so my schedule is very flexible during the week and I can help take care of your furry friend whenever needed. I am also always available anytime on the weekends. Your pet will be treated as a part of my furry family. I provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for your pet, ensuring they feel at home while you're away. This includes lots of play time and plenty of affection, and yes all pets are allowed to cuddle up on the couch or sleep in the bed at my house. I also follow any specific routines or special care instructions to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Jerrod C.

“We are very happy to say that Jarrod was responsible with Pepprel’s care and schedule. When need be, we will not hesitate to call on him again.”

Jamie M.

“Provided such incredible care for my pup! Will definitely book again!”

Kathleen F.
“Kathleen has pet/house sat for our family multiple times over the past few years, for as long as ten days, for as many as seven cats and a dog. She is completely reliable and dependable, but more than that she has an incredible rapport with animals and wants to give them the comfort and fun they deserve. She takes our dog on walks and lets him explore and sniff to his hearts content. She is also amazing with cats and plays with them, brushes them, and spends quality time enriching their lives, and gaining their trust. In addition, she kept our house pristine. Kathleen also does a great job with horses as she has her own horse, who was a rescue, and she has worked tirelessly to form a special bond of love and trust with him over many years. She’s been riding and spending time at barns since childhood. She has experience with rabbits and guinea pigs also.”

Isabelle P.

“Isabelle is always very sweet and attentive with our older pup. We were excited to have her return for a drop in visit to care for both our older pup and her new puppy sister. She was very communicative and responsive, and I know the girls were well cared for. The picture updates were super cute and appreciated as well!”

Jessica D.

“Jessica took great care of our cats while we were away for a long weekend. She was very professional and reliable, and the kitties enjoyed her company — even the timid one! Thanks again!”

Shane C.
“Shane is a fantastic dog caretaker - he has been immensely helpful with my partner's dog and my own dog as well. I know he has many years experience caring for dogs and cats. My dog can be fairly reactive to people who come into our home, but Shane demonstrates an intuitive ability to meet her where she's at unflinchingly. She immediately calmed down, which is very unusual for her with most visitors. Shane would make a great dog walker with other dogs, and I imagine other typically-skittish dogs like my own will respond particularly well to his presence!”

Robert D.
“Bob is fantastic! Our dogs have a variety of special needs (including leash reactivity and requiring medications) and he has handled their challenges and caretaking instructions with ease. His patience, compassion, and experience shine through in his care for the pets that he watches, and as a lover of the outdoors, the dogs always love going on adventures with him. I highly recommend Bob to anyone looking for a reliable, responsible sitter!”

Megan S.
“Megan was wonderful with my cats while I was vacationing. I left instructions for her for the medication that needed to be given to two of my cats and she followed them perfectly. I trust her with my fur babies. She's extremely reliable and trustworthy. Megan also sent me pictures and videos while she spent time caring for my cats. She's a true animal lover and shows compassion and love to all animals.”

Tati D.Star Sitter

“Tati is wonderful. Very responsive and so good with my Stella! Will definitely book again.”

Kate D.
“Kate is the nicest person you’ll ever meet and so loving with all dogs. The way she lights up when greeting a dog is enough to make anyone smile. Kate is always prompt and on time. If she says she is going to be there, she will be! Rest assured, if you choose Kate to walk your dog, she will surely have her full attention, big heart, and positive energy ready for you.”

Katarina N.
“Kat has taken care of my dog, Mollie, on several occasions when I'm out of town for a few days. She is reliable and treats Mollie with lots of love and care. Mollie gets excited when Kat comes over to visit or pick her up. Kat loves animals and she is always respectful of their presence when we hike together.”

Brianna F.
“I can’t recommend Brianna enough when it comes to caring for dogs. She’s incredibly dependable, always on time, and communicates so well that I never have to worry when my pup is in her hands. What really sets her apart is how naturally loving and attentive she is with animals—she doesn’t just walk dogs, she connects with them. You can tell she genuinely cares, and that kind of trust and warmth is rare to find. Whether it’s a daily walk or just checking in, Brianna treats every dog like her own.”

Ashley H.
“Ashley grew up in the dog show, dog training, dog sports, dog grooming, and working in a show kennel...grooming, bathing, training , boarding all types of K9s. She has many hours with care, cleaning, walking training and grooming dogs . She is the best helper. She has knowledge for all areas where dogs and other animals are concerned. trustworthy and good driver too”

Amanda R.

“Amanda is amazing! She took great care of my cat while I was out of town. She was very responsive and friendly. I will absolutely book again with her in the future!”

Caitlyn R.
“Cait is a loving, deeply caring, and highly responsible pet owner! She is amazing with her dogs Walter and Farley and always gives them the utmost attention and care. She is so good with animals, and she always treats her friend's dogs like her own. She would make an amazing (and probably the best) dog walker and sitter for your pups. Highly, highly recommend. :)”

Riley P.
“Best. Dog. Walker. Ever. My dog is very high energy and is always excited to see Riley! She takes Milo for long walks and he is always tired out by the end. She is great at following instructions I have left for her for Milo's care. I will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend Riley for your dog walking needs!”

Ally G.
“Ally has babysat for my dogs, while I am away, for years. She is incredibly kind and patient with animals, and cares for my dogs with all the love as if they were her own. She communicates effectively with me and there has never been an issue. She stays over at the house and I trust her without question. Anyone would be lucky to have her watch their pets.”

Karissa B.
“I can't say enough good things about Karissa! She has a genuine passion for all dogs and she treats each dog as if they were her own by going above and beyond to make sure they are safe, very happy, and loved. Seeing and knowing her own dog, Kahlua, who was such a friendly, loving and healthy girl, it's abundantly obvious that caring for dogs is something she not only loves doing but comes naturally to her. Karissa is always punctual and reliable in regards to scheduling and sharing updates. She will take plenty of great pictures and clearly communicate with you you have peace of mind that your dog is in great hands and having a good time. Your dog will also love her ear scratches! I highly recommend Karissa to anyone looking to provide excellent care for their pups!”
