About: I grew up around dogs my entire life! My dad used to breed rottweiler puppies! I also have a puppy of my own (she’s 1.5 now so not so puppy) but I am experienced! I got her all on my own so all of her training was with me. She earned her good citizens certificate! I know that every dog has a routine and when I come into a home I try to mimic that routine as best as i can so that the dogs feel completely comfortable I currently work from 7am to about 2pm. But I am available to let them out before work and then once I am out of work my full attention is on your pets! I also have weekends off and when pet sitting I stay home aside from a quick trip to get food or something I do not offer at my home services. I unfortunately have 4 dogs in my home and it is already so chaotic! But I will absolutely take care of your pet in your home and respect your home like my own! At a meet and greet I try to get the dogs exact routine memorized so that while your away he feels more comfortable and hopefully safe with me. I love to play fetch with dogs or tug o war. i’m also all for snuggles!

About: My entire life I’ve had the blessing to care for pets. From my Rottweiler Roxie, to my sweet kitty Nala, I’ve learned what to look for to provide the best care to my animals. I’ve also had extensive training in caring for livestock. During my undergrad I spent three years as a pig farmer and I loved every minute of it. I’m hoping to work most days after 3pm but no later than 10pm. I have some flexibility on most weekends. Would prefer mornings during the weekend but I am flexible. Back home, I had friends and family begging me to go on vacation so they could dog sit my dog, but here, without knowing too many people, finding a dog sitter was a really difficult ordeal. Thankfully, Rover and other apps helped, especially when I was able to travel again. I'm looking to help out in the same way this app and others helped me. I live in a large home with my wife Kelly, two dog friendly cats, and a very chill dog of our own. Pearl and Boy are our orange kitties and Candy is a 55lb brown lab mix. Candy and I used to be a certified therapy animal team when we had more time on our hands. All three animals love company (mostly human company but other animals are more than welcome, too) so your pet will definitely not be alone while you're away between us five. We do have a fenced-in yard and all dogs are welcome to roam the entire house - especially if you also allow that in your home. But if your animal needs their own space, we have a loft area, the yard, and various dog beds to decompress throughout the house. The old owners of our home used to be dog breeders and the home came with amenities specifically catered to hosting dogs. While we don’t and won’t breed ourselves, these features of the home make a great dog-friendly home for any pet while you’re away! We both work full time but Kelly is home three days a week and I’m home the other two. Typically my day revolves around when I should take the dogs out anyway. Usually one walk around 7am, another around noon, another around 5 when I get back and one before bed. How we care for your pet will be completely up to you and how you normally care for them. My youngest dog is being trained for competitive obedience, one who recently retired and one who retired 2 years ago and works as a therapy dog as well as demonstration dog. He helps many dogs overcome their obstacles to becoming the well mannered pet many families crave. He is a gentle giant, I've learned much from him. He is always happy to see another dog, and understands respectful greetings, he is mild mannered and loves to play when released to do so.
