“This was my first time using Rover or someone I didn’t know to take care of my cat. I was very nervous. Megan was excellent. She was available at very short notice & did a great job with a very fussy cat. I will definitely look to her again should I need someone to look after my girl. She even went through some extreme weather to make sure my pet was fed. She was dedicated.”

“Absolutely awesome!!!! We will definitely hire you against care for our little old lady. Great communication and care for our senior pup! Thank you! Marley says you can come back anytime!!! Thank you for taking such great care of our sweet old lady. ❤️”
“Sitters do not get any better than Julie! She cares for my babies as if they were her own! She goes out of her way to make sure they have everything they need! One of my cats currently has a medical issue, and she even went to pick up a med refill when he ran out! I would give her 10 stars if I could!!”

“Alexis was awesome and kept my Cali company while I had to be away. Cali sure is enjoying the toy Alexis gave her. I will be sure to use Alexis anytime I need assistance with Cali.”

“Grace is a true kind, gentle, compassionate soul. You can see it in how she interacts with your animals. She did an absolutely fantastic job. She came as scheduled and did exactly as instructed. She made all of our animals feel comfortable and safe. We will absolutely use Grace again and would recommend her with the highest regards. We appreciate all she did for us!!”

“Duke was well taken care of by Aubrey and he got plenty of play time. Duke made up to Aubrey very quickly at the meet and greet which let me known he would be happy to spend time with her!”

Afternoons/evenings work best for my schedule, but I can always work around yours to fit your needs the best! Right now, my schedule is very flexible! Even though I do not offer the option of boarding, I will strive to make your pet's safety my number one priority when I am walking them!
“Laylani is amazing! Our pup LOVED her. She was dependable and caring and I felt so much better about being away. The communication and pictures were so reassuring and my kids excitedly awaited her reports. Highly recommend (just not on the days I need her 😂)!”

“She was wonderful with my husky! Spirit is a rescue with a mostly unknown past. She is usually in "Stranger Danger" mode but while she was definitely not happy Lilliana managed to gain her trust and get her bathed with little drama. I am so thankful that Lilliana answered my request.”

“Melanie went out of her way to come meet Olivia and us before her time to dog sit. She was flexible, communicated very well and did an excellent job. This was our first time to use Rover and we are hooked! Thank you!”

“Shanie was amazing! She was great about checking in on our two cats everyday to make sure they were doing well while we were out of town. One is shy and the other a bit sassy, but she did great with both! She gives great updates with photos of everything and even brought in our packages! Perfect!”

“Chyanne was absolutely fantastic! She was always on time, kept us updated with pictures, and went above and beyond by even bringing our trash can back up after trash day while we were out of town. She truly treated our pets like her own, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. I think our pets already miss her! Highly recommend!”

“Lauren was very responsive and took many photos during her drop-in visit with my dog. It made me feel so much better knowing my dog was able to stretch his legs while I was away. Thank you so much!!”

“She was extremely kind and patient with the dogs! Our dog had a few accidents but she was super nice and understanding and cleaned it up for us! We would recommend her!”

“April is incredible. She was so patient with my dog, Mari who is a very nervous girl. She gave me updates all along the way and sent me photos. 10/10 would recommend!!!”

“Lora went above and beyond this past visit and deservingly earned 5 stars. She checked in on Snoopy one extra time because she wasn't sure I made it back home from vacation and she even bought her Snoopy a new toy. Way to go and I can't wait to have her back to care for my pets.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Porter
She was great! Cats were more comfortable with Madison then previous sitters (the one actually came out of hiding). The house and litter were kept clean, she even put away the food in a spot where the pets would not get into it. Will hopefully be booking her again if she is willing to look after my pets.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
