Damarilys was absolutely wonderful!! We needed a dog sitter last minute and she was super responsive and capable. She took great care of my dog - not only walking him on his usual route, but also giving him lovins while I was gone. Would definitely recommend!

About: I’ve had many dogs throughout my childhood and I just love how they are and I’ve actually trained some of them growing up. I currently don’t have a job right now and looking for one. I usually start my day bright and early so I have a lot of time available. I only have one dog right now her name is Luna, she has been my baby since she was a baby and she knows when to go outside to use the restroom, as well as some tricks I taught her and she loves when I pet her.

About: Grew up on a farm and had/have dogs my entire life. I also within the last 2 years have volunteered with working dog training facilities and horses at an equine therapy program. It has been great learning how to train and approach dogs, make them feel at ease along with challenging their brains. I have an extremely flexible work schedule which allows for lots of time with your furry family member(s). Fetch, walks, brushing, treats and feeding are all part of the daily activities. I have one amazing dog of my own he is 7 years old and neutered. He enjoys playing with other dogs. Safety for the dog and peace of mind for the traveling owner is always number 1. Plus lots of photos and storyboards of your loved dog’s day.

About: Hello, I am a huge dog lover and have been a pet owner for 18 years. They are not just my pets but they are part of the family. This is how I will treat your fur babies when they are in my care. I have raised 3 corgis since they were puppies and currently have 2 corgis who are 6 and 2 years old. My first corgi was with us for 14 years and I cared for her through her senior years. I look forward to meeting your furry family members! Additional info: I am currently booked Monday-Friday for one check in, morning and one check in, afternoon. Mon-Thurs I will not accept anything past 8 pm. Fri-Sun I am more flexible, if available. I am a SAHM and am flexible. I would love to help anyone who needs any additional help to their busy schedules, I know how chaotic life can get. I have experience at home by also being a pet owner to 2 dogs so I know how much responsibility goes into caring for dogs on a daily basis. I prefer helping in the clients home and also don’t mind helping with potty breaks or walks. Let me know how I can help you. I may be able to do day of bookings, depending on my morning/afternoon schedule.

About: Hi my name is Allison! I’m 22 and would love to hangout with some fury friends! I have had dogs my whole life and love being around them. I have taken care of family and friends pets for years and I absolutely love it! I recently moved to Austin and miss my family dogs dearly. That’s why I wanted to try Rover out! I have so much love and care to give I figured helping people out with their pets would be the perfect way I can express that! I just recently got a new puppy and know what it’s like trying to get them outside and active with a busy schedule. I go running as often as I can and would love a running partner as well as a pup that just wants to hangout! Not only do I love dogs, but I have also had cats for most of my life as well and can’t get enough of them! I can take your fur baby for runs, walks, car rides, or whatever they or you would like me to do! My sister worked for Rover for 2 years and had the best experience! She recommended it to me, as she knows my love and care for animals! I will be sure your pets have lots of fun, stay safe, and be sure to keep you updated! My current schedule is very flexible! I have open availability all week and would be thrilled to spend the day with a new fur friend! I have brought my own puppy to a dog park near where I live and know it is super safe! I would be sure to keep a close eye on your fur baby as I know I have done for my own. I would also be sure to send pictures and keep you updated as we hangout so you feel your baby is in safe hands!

About: I have had many types of experience through-out my life caring for pets. Just to name a few, I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, and a chinchilla. I have potty trained my pups, and simple commands/tricks. Currently my schedule is open so I am able to care for pets anytime weekdays and weekends. Animals with a more rigorous/timed schedule are welcomed as well. I have two friendly, loving doodles who are always trying to make friends. We regularly bring them to the beach, parks and long walks. They love making new friends and playing fetch. They have a large backyard to play in at times but they are usually in the house because they are spoiled and this Texas heat is savage. I can crate pets if needed, it just depends on your preference.

While at work, I have three family members that can care for your pets while I am gone. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room for them to play. Megan is an amazing dog walker. I am a middle school teacher, and I needed help making sure my dog gets plenty of exercise. Now, I am able to guarantee that he gets his walks in on top of his training and enrichment. She's always on time and leaves good summaries of the walk.

FAQs for Dog Walking - Port Arthur

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 105 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Port Arthur. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Port Arthur. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Port Arthur.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
