I contacted LiDan and she accepted my short notice booking for a two night stay for our 6 month old English Cream Golden Retriever. I was impressed when we were sent great photos and updates, as well as fast text replies. My dog May-C was relaxed, well-fed, and happy when we returned to pick her up. I can tell that she didn’t feel lonely without us because she had companions by her side the whole time. Finally, I would book LiDan again and recommend her to my friends and family who have beloved pets that need good care.

Tally had a great time with Mary and her family! Mary and her daughter came to the gate to greet us for drop off and pick up, and we got picture updates every day of Tally’s stay. Definitely recommended.

Suzanne and her family took great care of my timid Brittany. We had never been separated before, and it was only the 2nd time in her 6 years of life that she spent nights away from home. Suzanne's son spent a lot of time with her, coaxing her into trusting him and feeling safe with the new situation. Suzanne sent me pictures and text updates, letting me know how my dog was doing at settling in with them. By the time I returned from my trip, Jolie was feeling at home with Suzanne and her family. My ability to enjoy my vacation with my family was made possible by the care and attentiveness Suzanne focused on my dog. I would definitely board Jolie with Suzanne again. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a good, caring home environment for their dog when they have to leave them for a while.

Serena was able to help me out by watching Leo for a week on short notice. She was very pleasant to communicate with and attentive to my pup's needs. I received prompt responses to my questions and was updated with photos of Leo enjoying his time at her home. I especially loved seeing him waking up and doing his silly morning dance, which made me feel at ease during his boarding. Serena and I were also able to arrange transport for drop off which was a huge help. Thank you Serena!

About: Hi! I’m Morgan, and I’ve grown up surrounded by animals my entire life. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds, from Chihuahuas/ Jack Russells to Great Danes, and I absolutely love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I also have experience caring for cats and would be happy to give them the love and attention they deserve while you’re away. I currently have three dogs of my own, but they will be kept separate from your pet and crated when appropriate to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. I have two children, ages 13 and 8, who have grown up around animals and love them just as much as I do. We understand that every pet has different needs and boundaries, and we’ll respect their space while making them feel welcome and loved. When your pet stays with us, my goal is for them to feel like they’re at a home away from home. They’ll receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship while you’re away. I know how hard it can be to leave your furry family member, so I want you to feel confident that they’re being well cared for. I would love the opportunity to spoil your pet with lots of love and attention while you’re away! 🐶🐱❤️ A Little About Me 🐾 I work part-time, and my husband works from home, so there is usually someone home throughout the week to give your pet plenty of attention and care. We love having animals around and want every pet who stays with us to feel comfortable, safe, and at home. We are available to care for pets throughout the week. Due to our religious observance, we do not offer pick-up or drop-off from Friday sundown through Saturday sundown. We’re happy to coordinate drop-off and pick-up times around this schedule. We look forward to welcoming your furry family member into our home! ❤️🐶🐱 We live on 5 beautiful acres with plenty of room for your pet to explore and enjoy walks. Our property is not fenced, so pets will always be supervised outside and kept safely on a leash. We also live on a quiet gravel road, which gives us a great opportunity to take pets on walks. Our goal is to provide your pet with lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. Tell us about your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, walking habits, and any special instructions, and we will do our best to keep their routine as familiar as possible. My husband does need to pick up and drop off our children from school during the day. For your pet’s safety, they will be securely crated during those brief times when no one is home. Otherwise, we are home frequently and able to give your pet plenty of companionship and attention. We want you to feel confident knowing your pet is staying with a family who will treat them like one of our own! ❤️🐶🐱

About: I am a college student looking to make a little extra money while I work from home. I think pets are family, and they make life ever so much more enjoyable! Pets reflect a lot about who we are and how big our hearts are to care for those around us. My sister and I since we were little sought every opportunity to help stray dogs out, help find their owners, or rehome them. Our dream was to one day house over 10 dogs when we built our home together and of course we would never ever get married... haha. things change, but our love for dogs stays the same! Because I am currently working online and studying, pet sitting is quite an easy task to do at the same time and an enjoyable break for me I am currently working online and tagging my masters program so pet sitting works great with my schedule! I find joy taking work breaks to be with my furry pets and get some time outside in nature. I love my luna so much, she accompanies me on any adventure I embark on and makes time so much more enjoyable. While she loves being outside in our big backyard, she thoroughly enjoys being able to relax inside with me and our family. I currently work part time from home and my husband is often home as well working, so together we make a great team of loving on the animals in our care. While we are planning on getting pets of our own soon, since we recently got married, pet sitting has been my way of feeling “at home” since I was involved with my sister efforts for dog rescue shelters, and organizations, having anywhere from 2-6 dogs in our home at all times. The dogs will remain indoors most of the time, as we have an unfenced yard, however, I make daily walks part of my routine as a therapist to get myself on the move, so between myself and my husband, we will make sure they are properly fed, comfortable, safe, and getting the exercise they need

Miriam was absolutely wonderful with my dog Daisy. Miriam and her entire family worked around Daisy’s special needs and gave her the best time ever. I’m pretty sure Daisy did not want to return home after spending 3 days in doggy heaven with Miriam.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ponderay home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ponderay.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Ponderay sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
