About: My name is Emily. I work full time in public service and I am a dog mom to a Golden Doodle named Rudy. I have 4+ years of working in animal care from working in shelters, as a veterinary assistant, and have cared for my neighbor's pets when needed. I am able to administer medications and care for any pets that have special needs due to having experienced working in both small and large animal clinics. I will treat your fur baby like my own! I currently have availability on week days in the evening and weekends all day. In the summer from end of June to mid - July I will have all day availability as well. My dog Rudy is very friendly and can accompany on visits if permitted or requested. I have a park close to my house and can commute to any area for a needed walk.

About: I have had pets for my whole life. Most of my friends called my house a "zoo" growing up because of the wide range of animals we had around the house, from puppies to snakes to pigs- we had it all. When caring for another animal, I treat it like it were my own. I always saw my pets as an extension of my own family and want to treat all animals the same way. I am currently home from college right now, so I am flexible. I have 3 pets of my own who I take care of, other than that I am free. It depends on the pet and their individual needs. I have a dog, but he is extremely active and loves being outdoors, so letting him out every hour or couple minutes is important for him. Whereas, another dog may not enjoy. being outside as much or have certain medical needs that prevents them from running. I love cuddling up on the couch with my pets (dog and two cats), and giving them affection. I also enjoy spending time with them by getting them active and playing their favorite games/ toys.

I currently work a corporate 9-5 job that is fully remote, so I can really make the schedule around my plans for that day to give all the love to your pets! When caring for pets in a home, my goal is to keep them as comfortable and happy as possible while sticking to their normal routine! I make sure they have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, and plenty of attention. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
