“Emily was really wonderful with our cats, super responsive to messages, and made me feel at ease leaving my kitties in her care while we were gone. She even tried to befriend my shy kitty and made sure I got photos of everyone. We will definitely have Emily back again!”

“Shania did an excellent job looking after my cat. She sent multiple pictures and videos and I really felt like she spent quality time making sure my cat was well taken care of and I was informed. I highly recommend her and will definitely be booking again!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since I could walk and have owned and cared for a wide variety of animals my whole life. I was that kid who brought home sick and injured animals and nursed them back to help and my love for them has only grown as an adult. I’d love the opportunity to love your pets as much as you do! I’m currently a stay at home mom to three daughters so my schedule is pretty open and I can make most times and days work, I’d be happy to work with your schedule! I currently own a dog, tortoise, hamster, snake and fish and work hard to meet their needs in every way while also teaching my daughters the importance of care and respect for pets. I’m the go to for a lot of my friends and family when it comes to pet care and have been hired to care for dogs, cats, birds, snakes and rabbits.
“Our dog Ruby LOVES Jennifer! This is our second time using Jennifer to do house visits for our dog. She is wonderful! Jennifer is professional and conscientious in our home. But also so warm and friendly to us and to Ruby. She sends great feedback anld gives good communication during set up and after each visit. She is also great at sending photos of Ruby after each visit. We love that. Ruby is excited to see her each time and won’t leave Jennifer’s side. We will definitely use Jennifer again!”

About: I have loved pets for longer than I can remember and I have taken care of pets for family and friends for a very long time. I've had dogs, cats, lizards and even chickens under my care. I always try my best to respect the wants and needs of animals and stay a responsible & caring pet handler. I am available most days of the week; able to care for pets more often than not. I let clients know beforehand if any scheduling conflicts arrive. I am open to walking pets, playing with them, staying over night, and caring for pets several days in a row. I will always make sure your pets are well fed, hydrated, and loved. :]
“Kenly is fantastic. She takes such good care of my dogs. This is the first time I have used Rover and I am glad I found her. She went above and beyond for my puppy when he was sick. She gave him a bath and cleaned out his crate when he had an accident prior to her getting there. She is the best and I would recommend her to others as well as rehire her.”

“Mitchell and Lindsey were wonderful ! They made us feel so comfortable leaving our little cat Georgia for the first time . They are great communicators and kept us updated with pictures as well . Five stars and a a big recommendation from us ( and Georgia ☺️) .”

About: My entire life I've taken care of animals, especially dogs. I was a dog and wolf lover all throughout my childhood. I also have experience taking care of horses, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs (including pregnant ones), hamsters, parakeets, chickens, snakes, lizards, fish, tarantulas, cows, goats, and other farm animals. Growing up I loved to take in lost cats and birds with broken wings. I also have experience taking care of sick or geriatric dogs. As a teen I volunteered as a "Zoo Teen" at the Hogle Zoo. I also went to work on my aunt's friend's horse ranch in Oklahoma for a summer gaining valuable experience in taking care of farm animals. I also have been volunteering for the past 6 months as a foster parent at Ruff Haven Crisis Sheltering (temporarily babysitting people's dogs when their humans are not able to watch them). *Starting July 8th I will be going back to work in-office* I am available to sit in your home or board your animal at mine. I can take out dogs to go potty before or after work and give lots of love and attention to all your fur babies. I am no longer working remotely, so I am not available during work hours for your pet. The ideal situation would be that I provide care for a pet who is okay being unsupervised during the work day. I can take dogs out before and after work. I live in a townhouse without a true fence, however there is a rock wall surrounding the back of the townhouses and a ledge around the front that almost all dogs cannot climb down (it's way too high) so it is hard for dogs to leave the property, and I carefully watch them (or leash them, for escape artist doggos) to make sure they don't walk down too far and figure out how to escape. My dog is fine without a leash however, I will keep your pet leashed if your dog is curious and likes to wander too much. I live by the Ogden Nature Trail and everyday I can be found there with my dog. I would love to take your dog out there with us! If I sit in your own home, I will make sure your home is well looked after and I will follow your home instructions to ensure that you don't need to worry while you are gone.

“Booked again, and as always, Miko was well taken care of. I appreciate the updates and pictures while I’m away, great pictures btw, brings peace of mind. Thank you for going above and beyond and taking time to supervise Miko outside, which is his favorite. He loves going outside several times a day, and it meant a lot that they were so patient and attentive with him. Thank you again for always following instructions carefully and taking such thoughtful care of Miko. Very grateful!”

About: Because of allergies in my own home, I don’t have pets of my own. This means that when I am with your dog or cat, they have my 100% undivided attention and affection. I’m not just a sitter; I’m someone who truly cherishes the time I get to spend with animals. I treat every walk and every visit as the 'pet fix' I don't get at home, giving your furry family member the extra belly rubs, long walks, and genuine companionship they deserve. I offer a consistent routine that fits perfectly into a busy work week, along with the flexibility needed for those long weekend getaways: • Weekdays: I am available for evening walks, feedings, and playtime to help your pet unwind after you’ve had a long day at the office. • Weekends (Friday – Sunday): I have full flexibility! Whether it’s an extra-long hike on a Saturday morning or full-day companionship while you're out of town, I’m available to ensure your pet never feels lonely. I believe the best way to keep a pet stress-free while you're away is to stick to their established "house rules." Whether it’s specific feeding times, a preferred walking route, or making sure they aren't allowed on the couch, I follow your instructions to the letter. I want your pet to feel like their day-to-day life hasn't skipped a beat. I treat your home with the same respect I treat my own. I am naturally detail-oriented and responsible, ensuring that: • Doors and gates are always double-checked and locked. • The living space is kept clean and exactly as you left it.
“Dawn was so friendly, went above and beyond, came and met our cat before the sit, and brought great experience. She noticed he would like a laser and brought that to play with him, brushed him, and went the extra mile. Such an excellent experience and couldn’t be more at ease on our vacation knowing Dawn was coming to check on our little buddy at home! Great updates and photos as well. Thanks Dawn!!! 🩷🙏”

“Perfect sitter. Very patient and understanding. We had a location that was hard to access abd she was amazing. Always asked questions and kept is in the loop during our family emergency. It gives us peace of mind while we are away”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Friends and family regularly trust me to walk, feed, and look after their pets. I’m also attentive to instructions, punctual, and happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for walks, check ins, and playtime. About: I have always had pets in my life. I had made sure they were properly fed in the right amount at the right times and always had a fresh bowl of water. They never go without love as well as making sure they have their space to go and do their thing. Pets will always be taken care of with me and made sure they go home happy and healthy. :) I am currently unemployed. We are very protective of our kitty and Caitlynn did a great job. She bonded so well with him and I think that helped him to be okay while we were gone. Caitlynn you were amazing and thank you so much for everything including watering my deck plants. When we decide to go on another vacation we will definitely ask for Caitliynn to watch Mister. I would also recommend her to anyone. Thank you again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
